Good food. Good service. They still serve once of my favorite dishes. Feel good atmosphere.

Located inside Somerset - the restaurant is decent size. Sometimes there is a wait on the weekends or holidays. 3 stars for service. 5 stars for food. Great pizza and good vegetarian selections. Good for a draft beer while walking around the mall.

We ordered the Neapolitan Burrata pizza, Chipotle pizza, Dynamite Shrimp, and the Butter Cake for dessert. The burrata pizza was light and fresh, the chipotle pizza had great smoky flavors with beans and corn, and the dynamite shrimp was crispy with a nice tangy kick. The real standout was the Butter Cake -- warm, rich, and absolutely a must-try. Overall food was very good and nice ambience though the service was just okay.

Haven't been to California pizza kitchen in awhile and I plan on going back! We ordered the avocado egg rolls for an appetizer and the margarita pizza for our main course. The prices were a bit high for the appetizer, however we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My only complaint is that there weren't too many tables in this restaurant, as this location is a bit small, however, we received great service and our food was out very promptly.

Never been here me and my friend shared a pizza. The bill was $22 out the door. One bbq pizza and one pop and water to share ... the smoked chicken on the pizza is absolutely great. You would think they would just throw some unthaw chicken onto it. Nope it's real smoked. And juicy chicken I'll be back

The location of it being in a mall is an advantage, a nice place to take a break from all the shopping ( window shopping) and walking around the mall. The food was ok I mean it should have been good for the location at least , but I guess the vast food cuisine they have doesn't help in the taste of the food... the pizza was ok The service s good but most of the time it's a bit crowded ... wish they would have a more specialized menu instead of having the a variety of different cuisine dishes .

Located right inside the front entrance of Somerset Mall, the ambiance is pretty standard for a chain restaurant. They did have a couple Christmassy decorations up, but nothing major. The service was top notch! Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often, refilling our drinks/water and bringing us whatever we needed. We did have an issue with our order in that the pizza was brought out with chicken even though we ordered without but she put in a new order and quickly brought us a new pizza. The food was fresh and delicious as usual. The Chipotle chicken and tostada pizzas were both great! We are so happy the tostada is back on the menu. This place is a family favorite for us. They also have a great deal for gift cards right now where if you buy $100, you get a $25 bonus card.

Wonderful food! Got their shrimp appetizer, kids meal, and a steak pizza. All tasted amazing. My kid loved the variety that came with his kid meal. Mom said the steak pizza was the best pizza she ever had! Also a nice environment in the mall. Friendly service. Usually a line though around dinner time. Would return!

Stopped in for a mid-week lunch with a friend. It was nicely decorated, windowed, and not too crowded. Seated within 5 minutes, even without a reservation. Carlos was our kind, patient server. He offered water and drinks immediately. My first choice, The Cucumber Reviver was not available so i chose a Pacific Thyme mocktail: an essentially, flavorless, way too icy, and over-sparkling-watered beverage. Not recommended. While waiting for our Lunch Duo choices, Carlos offered fresh, warm, crusty sourdough bread with spiced olive oil. Excellent! My Lunch Duo choices were terrific too: Began with a steamy cup of Dakota Smashed Pea and Parley soup with carrots, onions, and savory herbs. Finished with a half bowl of fresh Thai Crunch Salad with cilantro, grilled chicken, peanuts and wonton pieces. Highly recommended options! All in all, CPK's food is reasonably priced and good. The Mocktail menu needs work though.

Was at the mall with the family and checked in with the host and hostess and they said a table is being cleared that we could use so I was happy since the mall was really busy on this Saturday night. The ambiance was nice and it was pretty clean although we did hear this weird alarm going off in the kitchen area a few times. Now let's get to the main attraction - the food! First of all the free bread and olive oil they start you off with is absolutely amazing. It's super crunchy on the outside and super soft and moist and chewy on the inside. This alone is enough for a visit. I got the Banh Mi Bowl since I'm a health nut and it was visually stunning with an array of colors because of the veg. However the taste could have been better. The dressing needed more sweetness and the salad needed more juice - maybe trying adding some tomatoes or something? Also it says it comes with sesame seed but I didn't see any. We also got pizzas since it's in the name right? It's what they're famous for right? Lol at least that's what my wife insisted. My boy got the mushroom pepperoni sausage pizza and wife got the California club pizza. Both were just ok. Again the dough stole the show! Or maybe I'm just a carb lover secretly and shamefully lol. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and our waiter was also solid. Thanks CPK - we'll be back to try some other stuff and enjoy more of your yummy bread haha. Chao!

I've been a fan of CPK for many years. Typically, I order the thin crust with Pepperoni and Basil. We do like a few of their appetizers. and of course we have to order a drink or two. We were out finishing up our last few gifts before the holiday season. We devoured our pizza and are looking forward to coming back!

Horrible customer service and mediocre food. The last two times we've visited this location we've had horrible service. Tonight we went in and ordered two chicken picattas with shrimp. My mom pointed out to the server that she had less shrimp than me and he brought the manager over, a short white dude, who clearly shouldn't be working in a customer facing role as he's extremely ignorant and rude. Manager says "that's enough shrimp. Don't want them? I'll eat em" This combined with the mediocre pasta that tastes like it's straight out of a bag and the sauce with no flavour have ensured I'll never be back to this location again. I've given them several visits and they just get worse and worse while raising prices. Avoid this and just eat somewhere else

However after placing our order on the screen, the two iced latte drinks came out with no espresso added? Apparently on the ordering screen you have to CHOOSE to add espresso, which is counterintuitive because then it's just sugar milk. Anyways that was fixed and my bubble fruit tea was good. I appreciate all the ways to personalize the tea and it's Good that they have non dairy drinks options! The staff person kinda awkwardly set the tray on our table and left - she didn't hand out the drinks to us, which is kind of weird? The cake we ordered took awhile to come out even though it was right there in the display - and I even inquired about it. we were done with our drinks by the time it came out - so it wasn't great timing and we were just over it. The spoons were cute but way too small to enjoy anything - my kiddo liked it though for a few bites. I feel like this was just for ambience and not really sustenance, not sure if I would come back. Maybe for the noodles or other foods but there's lot of other options nearby! They also advertise pizza on their front sign but I didn't see any on the inside menu...? Easy lot parking - watch out for the large pothole up front though!

Renee's has been a trusted spot in our home for years because they make it so easy to order safely. They clearly list all ingredients and allergens on their website, and as someone who deals with gluten and dairy restrictions, I genuinely appreciate that level of care. This time, I ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived quickly and still warm. We tried a variety of things, and one of the standouts was the deep-dish meat lovers pizza with vegan cheese. The crust had that chewy texture I've deeply missed since going gluten-free. It held up beautifully under layers of sauce, melty vegan cheese, and a generous helping of toppings. Bold, rich, and hearty. The chicken wrap surprised me--in a good way. It had a satisfying chew and was packed with toppings and flavor. I also got their cheese flatbread, which had a crispy edge and that deliciously soft center. Now, the fries? Not great. Soggy and under seasoned. My son picked at them but didn't ask for more. Definitely not their strong suit. But the elephant ears made up for it. Warm, sweet, lightly crisp, and topped with just the right amount of icing--they were the perfect way to end the meal.

As a New Haven pizza fan, the REAL kind, I was extremely disappointed. I know that after having eaten the real New Haven (Pepe's, Sally's, and Modern), I need to tighten down my expectations, but come on! They have these beautiful ovens, a nice, clean, and pleasant place and they turn out what I would consider pizza no better, perhaps a little less good than Hungry Howies thin crust pizza! New Haven is supposed to be crispy and chewy, NOT soggy. I tried Farmington Hills a few months ago and ate in, then last week tried Birmingham and carried out. For those of you thinking that my carry-out experience may have been bad due to the 3 miles I had to drive home, but I've carried out a LOT of pies from a LOT of locations, and I DO take that into account. There are some positives: The ingredients were impeccable. Fresh, high-quality cheese and the mushrooms were done really well. The pepperoni was of good quality but nothing worth writing home about. There are a lot of great pepperonis in the area. The doneness was great. It wasn't over- or undercooked. The flavor was good, but not, as some have said, amazing. In both cases, the crust was limp and soggy, NOT chewy and crispy. Not in the least. I don't mind if it's a little bit floppy, but not like this. An analogy I might give is to compare Tomatoes Apizza to Modern Apizza in actual New Haven is like comparing Jets Pizza to Loui's. Jet's is fine, but Loui's! (If you know, you know). To me, Modern in New Haven is at par, and not to be sacrilegious to our beloved Detroit Style, with Loui's or Palazzo Di Pizza, so it's not a style issue. My two experiences were both the same, so I don't know what to think. I'll give them one more try at some point.
