It is my first time trying California Taco. Great portions, very reasonably priced, easy online ordering, friendly staff, picked up order, but establishment was very clean and neat. I look forward to returning.

I've been wanting to try this newest location which is quite close to me and I will say that I'm quite happy about it! Food was excellent, the service was quick and it was a very good value. We were going to do take out but then decided to eat in. The entire time we were there I noticed a steady flow of people coming in to pick up their food. The hubs had a soft rolled taco and ground beef burrito and I had the shredded chicken enchilada combo. We both enjoyed our meals and had plenty of leftovers for the next day. We also got a slice of their chocolate cake to go. We opted for a container with no cinnamon chips, the cake and frosting was delicious and I must say the chocolate shavings were a nice touch! We made sure to bring home the takeout menu which our daughter put to use the following day! I can see us becoming regulars!

Our family tried California Taco Shop at the new location in Coventry, we were not disappointed! The decor is very upbeat and welcoming, great layout for a small restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful, they answered all of my questions as I placed my order. We ordered 3 Supreme Tacos- Homemade Chicken, Carnitas, and Ground Beef, a Carne Asada meal, and churros. The overall meal was fantastic, everything was fresh and well seasoned. The Carne Asada was tender and seasoned perfectly with a side of rice and refried beans. We devoured our dishes, so delicious! The churros were fresh and tasty, served with chocolate sauce. Can't wait to back and try more dishes along with fried ice cream! Highly Recommend!

Upon entering, they have a nice outdoor area to eat with playful decor that makes you feel like you're in Mexico! We were seated immediately, but we must've just gotten there at the right time cause they were so packed! Our waitress brought over water and chips and salsa and gave us a few moments to review the menu. We ordered drinks, a steak quesadilla, and the rib eye tacos and fish tacos. Food came out quick and the staff were incredibly attentive. The steak quesadilla was yummy but I wish they had the sour cream and salsa or something on the side for it. It was only drizzled on top but since they were overlapping, it didn't feel like there was enough. But that's 10000% just personal preference! it was still very delicious! The cabo fish tacos were so yummy, we got them fried and they had a good crisp to is. But the star was the rib eye tacos. SO good! the green guacamole sauce that comes with it paired so well with the rib eye flavor. Hands down my favorite of the night! both orders of tacos also came with beans and rice. We definitely had leftovers for the next day! Highly recommend this location! Staff was incredible, parking is easy, food was great!

My favorite thing to get is the single enchilada with salsa verde, which is literally under $4. The chips and queso are also super tasty. My husband always goes with one of the burritos. I also love their kids menu since my son is always down for a bean burrito and some chips. Ordering online is super easy and it is always ready when they say it will be. I've dined there a few times and its definitely a casual spot. The only downside is that parking lot gets crazy tight, so I generally prefer parking on the street.

You order at the counter, where the staff is super friendly and helpful, and they bring your food right to your table -- a nice casual touch. I tried one of each taco -- Adobo-marinated chicken, steak, and pork -- topped with shredded lettuce, cilantro, and I chose the Del Diablo salsa. Each taco was moist, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. The salsa added a great kick without overpowering the flavors. A solid spot for fresh, satisfying tacos and relaxed vibes -- I'd definitely come back to try more!

I had an awesome spicy Margarita. Service was quick and cordial for the appetizers we ordered. By 8 pm it pretty much cleared out. The dining area is quite large and the establishment itself is visually appealing. I've eaten here before and their entrees are always fresh and delicious. Tonight was just for a couple quick bites. I really like this restaurant. The service and food is great.

A hostess seated us with menu's and our waitress came over quickly to take a drink order. She dropped off some chips and salsa with our waters. The menu begins with beverages of the adult kind and ends with dessert. They have a street food menu that is separate. The margaritas start at five dollars and go up to fifteen, frozen or on the rocks. They also have a variety of other mixed concoctions. The menu includes the expected tacos, taco salad, burrito and so on. In the back they have a 'pick and choose' section where you can get 2, 3 or 4 of the items listed for set prices. The interior is very nice. Having lived in Tucson, AZ for a couple of years, we've visited quite a few 'mom & pop' Mexican restaurants and the décor reminds us of those AZ establishments. For a restaurant that has been here about seven years (maybe more?) the interior is in good condition. Nice date ambiance. I chose the 'New Mexico' which is one chile relleno and one carnitas enchilada. My SO ordered queso beef enchiladas. The food was delivered to the table within minutes. This is one of those things that makes me go hmmmm. The food offerings are quick to assemble: grab a tortilla, fill with a scoop of meat, roll, pour over premade sauce, add the rice and beans, go. Everything prepared, just waiting to be served. The food quality shows this is how it is. While most of the cheese in the chile relleno was very gooey and stringy, it didn't quite reach the center where some of the cheese was still cold. Also, it tasted of old deep fryer oil. The pepper was spicy, no meat, very cheesy. The carnitas tasted burnt and was exceptionally dry. The salsa verde had a strong vinegar taste to me. My SO, who likes spicy food, found the enchiladas to be boring. The cheese sauce was the best part. The service and ambiance are excellent, the food prices good, and the food quality is OK. I don't think we'll be back but we enjoyed checking it out. If you enjoy other chain Mexican restaurants you will probably enjoy this one.

So the only indication that this was indeed a food truck was the Sign on one side that said the name, but there was no menu on the truck or anything and I took me a few minutes to find one online as they do not have an actual webpage but they do have instagram & Facebook and they linked their menu to their Facebook! According to their Facebook it said Guatemalan inspired cuisine, which made me slightly nervous as I have really only had Mexican, South American, & several Spanish variations of "tacos & burritos" and was not a fan of the South American cuisine & some of the Spanish ones, but nonetheless I decided to give the Guatemalan infused food truck a chance! I ordered 3 beef tacos with cheese lettuce and sour cream for my son and I got the chicken and cheese quesadilla. The tidal was $29 which was a bit more expensive then I had anticipated but that was fine. It smelled delicious but my 7 years old was not eating this until we returned home! The wait was brutal- but once we finally got home- we dug in and to our surprise it was absolutely Delicious!!!! When I tell you the presentation was on point for the tacos, but it was the taste and the crispy shell that made these tacos absolutely delicious. My 7 year old son said these were some of the best tacos he had ever had & I AGREE! We ended up splitting each other's meals so he had a few quesadillas and I had a few tacos. We both loved them- but I preferred the crispy taco's to the quesadillas! The service was great and those at the window were super friendly! They texted me when my order was ready. I ended up looking at their Facebook and they apparently park in front of Bravo Brewing in Pascoag quite frequently! So if you live in northern RI & are looking for something delicious- you HAVE to try the tacos! They are amazing!! I would definitely order the tacos at least once a week!
