This was the first stop on my daughter's prom gown shopping adventure She tried on 7 different dresses and didn't choose any because none of them "sparked joy" The lady working was really pleasant considering we came in about an hour before closing time and then didn't buy anything. She seemed pretty understanding They have a layaway option if anyone needs it - the signs say 25% down but I was told 50% when I inquired

A great appreciation from one of the customer from Calista. Manalo!

Calista is a fave store of my mom's. They always have new merchandise coming in all the time. Prom dress central in the spring. I didn't know that they keep a list of dresses sold and which school it will be worn at so that duplicate dresses aren't worn and cause a potential cat fight. Lots of accessories to complete any outfit, from hats to earrings, to evening bag and shoes. Accessories need a place to be stored when not in use, and they have those, too. My very favorite thing in this store is the watermelon hat. Perfect for a summer picnic in the park. Sales associates are so friendly and helpful. They get a dressing room started for us while we peruse the sale racks.

$5.99 discounted bracelets! I love them they are so pretty!

A wonderful experience I love the accessories! So many pretty and shiny things for an affordable price. I'm not sure if she was a manager or the owner. She was such a sweetheart. She bundle my bracelet perfectly.

If you are looking for a prom dress, mother-of-the-bride gown, formal wear, or dressier clothing, then Calista is the store for you! Located in Kahala Mall, I usually only shop here when there is a sidewalk sale so I can get an extra discount on the clearance rack. You never know when a special occassion pops up, so you may as well got something you like while it's at a good price, right? I really like the Citron brand - except for the price. Ouch! It looks great, is comfortable, and is easy to care for. I can wear it to conventions or important meetings without looking too out of place. The sales people are quite helpful. One let me into a dressing room that was being used, but the customer was outside, taking her time making a decision. The other sales people have good suggestions as to how to accessorize your outfit and they have the shoes and jewelry right there to show you how it will look. So, if you have free time and want to shop in air conditioned comfort, stop by Calista - you'll probably find something you like!

Had to find a dress for my two girls for my wedding!! Looked everywhere from downtown Chinatown ward Ala Moana Center and then to kahala mall . Finally walked by and thought hmm I should just take a look as I was running out of options. And when I walked in I was surprised as to what they had ! They have a variety of little girls dresses and junior gowns to sundresses bridal gowns mother of the bride outfits and so much accessories I was BLOWN AWAY!! Staff was really helpful and I explained I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old that I wanted them in white dresses and to kinda coordinate but not look too match match look . And They delivered they had so much different looks to choose from !! I am so happy and I recommend this place to anyone having an event and needing a dress !!! Thank you staff of Calista!! You made my day special and girls looked so GORGEOUS!!

Stitching on the outside of the hem. Couldn't even match the two seams

So this is a continuation of my last review. So I get my daughter's dress back and was told that the reason the 1st alteration wasn't so good is because the seamstress that normally does the alterations had some things going on with her husband so she had her mom do the alteration instead thinking that she could do it. I was told that the seamstress has been doing this for 30 years. Well you would think if she was doing this for 30 years you would have an excellent job done. This is what it looked like after the 2nd attempt at alteration. Still crooked and the seam at the ends isn't even matched up. I guess this lady doesn't take any pride in her work. So sad. It's all about the money. And the worker had the nerve to tell me "well we did take care of it". Like it was my fault the 1st job was so junk. I shouldn't have had to have the alteration done twice to begin with!!!

I love my dress, thank you!

I'm sitting on the floor in my living room eating popcorn, still in my workout clothes, with hair color in my hair. Then my husband texts me with an invitation to the Heart Ball. I'm like WTH?! I text my girlfriends asking exactly how fancy is this event? I own $12 tube dresses, rompers, bikinis, and workout clothes.... that's it! She tells me I need to go to Calista's in Kahala. Cool, I'm in Kaimuki... perfectly convenient. When I got to the store I honestly thought this wasn't gonna be it and I would have to drive to Ala Moana and walk around to every store, then find shoes etc... what a hassle! The sales ladies are super nice and helpful. We pulled a few dresses and right away I found it! I think it was the 4th dress I tried on. I was so excited! They had shoes for me too. I got it altered, and picked it up the next day. Boom! Done! Thank you everyone at Calista... my dress was amazing and a hit!

Let me start off by saying that the ladies who work here are literal ANGELS. They are patient,…read morekind, accommodating, and are truly there to help you find a dress that, in their owners words, "make you feel like a million bucks!" I visited Casablanca over a little less than a year ago now, and from my first visit to my very last, they were amazing. First off, don't be fooled by their smaller boutique, they have many dress options and were super accommodating on me wanting a long sleeve dress to cover my arm tattoos. They were totally non-judgemental and made me feel beautiful no matter what dress I tried on. I ended up going with a fitted mermaid style dress that was not what I expected- I originally wanted an a-line dress but somehow I fell in love with a totally different dress style. The dress was about 1-2 sizes too small, so we ordered the dress in one size up per the owner and 6 months later, my dress came in. Now, the only thing they didn't do was measure me at my first appointment, so unfortunately when the dress came in, it didn't fit me perfectly. It was definitely too tight on my arms and my chest area. They did say they could take out the dress and make alterations, but my mom felt that there wasn't enough room to let it out. They ended up calling the owner, who allowed me to look at a few new dresses that just came in while she checked if they could order my dress in another size up. Mind you, this was 3 months away from my wedding date, so I was really nervous that it wouldn't come in on time. I ended up trying on another dress closer to my original vision, a-line, long sleeve, and totally beautiful. Now this new dress was 2 sizes too big, but because of the original dress mishap, they said they would provide alterations for free! I was stunned by their kindness and their need to make what happened right. So now, 3 months before my wedding, I now had a new dress, and they were able to alter it to fit me perfectly. And listen, their tailor is literally amazing- so don't doubt the power of a great tailor, because the dress literally felt made for me after being way too big. To wrap it up, on my wedding day, my wedding coordinator did not know/could not zip up my dress. I'm going to skip all of the crash out moments (lol), but long story short, we called Casablanca, and they a) tried to explain it over the phone, then b) facetimed us to try and show how to get the dress to zip up, and when that didn't work, they literally drove down to my wedding venue and helped me into my dress. When I tell you these ladies are angels, I MEAN IT. I could not believe how much they were willing to do to make sure I was able to wear my incredibly beautiful dress. THANK YOU Casablanca!!! I cannot recommend them enough. You all are amazing and helped me feel "like a million bucks"!

I came in with an idea, a vision,…read morea budget range, sample images, and although I didn't get exactly what I had envisioned, I came out with an equally beautiful dress within my budget. Made an appt for the next available Saturday which was 3 weeks away. My wedding is 10 months away, so I knew I had to give enough time for shipping. If all goes well, the dress will be arriving 4 months to the wedding, to which we have ample time for dress fitting. There are 2 main waiting areas at Casablanca, downstairs and upstairs. We waited downstairs until the previous party was completed with their appt, to which we then moved upstairs. I showed Rowena pictures, she pulled a 3 options out. I already knew I didn't like the way some of them looked, she then pulled out 3 more. Then I tried them on. By that point, I already narrowed it down to that 2nd set of 3, Rowena had picked out. Came back the next day with my mom and sister for final approvals. Paid for and ordered a dress that Sunday. The process for trying on dresses was seamless and painless, thanks to Rowena. She truly is amazing at her job and makes you feel so comfortable. As for parking, there are a few stalls in their garage, or you can pull up on the grass up front if your car can go off-roading a little bit. There's also street parking nearby, but definitely carpool if you got several people coming by with you.

As we went through the appointment, she helped me refine my preferences and ultimately discover what I really wanted in my future wedding dress. I appreciated that she encouraged both my guest and me to pull dresses that caught our eye, while also selecting additional gowns based on what she was learning about my style. Many of the outfits and looks are inspired by designer labels but without the designer price tags. Zara carries clothing for Men, Women and Children. Other stores offer Zara Home merchandise. On occasion I'd come to buy an outfit, not necessarily come by for the basics. But the shoes aren't bad either, not the most comfortable. Proud to give a 4 out of 5 star rating!

Tone speaks louder than words, and every interaction was dripping with unnecessary sarcasm, severe attitudes. Trying to check an item size or ask a quick question at the fitting rooms? Be met with blatant eye-rolls, heavy sighs, and passive-aggressive comments! There is a huge difference between being busy and being outright rude! Some staff have ZERO basic respect or courtesy for the people shopping here. It's a shame because the location is great, but the hostile, miserable attitude of the staff COMPLETELY ruins the experience. Management desperately needs to step in and address their teams on fundamental customer service OR at the very least....BASIC HUMAN DECENCY.
