I did not get a single congratulation just forced into multiple dresses outside of my price range, told multiple times that I was much to late to be looking for a wedding dress for my wedding coming up in November and my bridal party felt like they couldn't give any feedback back about my dresses without getting backlash from the staff. I hope for future brides sake the company can provide a more supportive environment and be more warm and welcoming. I've been emailing back and forth with Vows and Bridal for months now and was not expecting to be treated with such disrespect in person.

If all goes well, the dress will be arriving 4 months to the wedding, to which we have ample time for dress fitting. There are 2 main waiting areas at Casablanca, downstairs and upstairs. We waited downstairs until the previous party was completed with their appt, to which we then moved upstairs. I showed Rowena pictures, she pulled a 3 options out. I already knew I didn't like the way some of them looked, she then pulled out 3 more. Then I tried them on. By that point, I already narrowed it down to that 2nd set of 3, Rowena had picked out. Came back the next day with my mom and sister for final approvals. Paid for and ordered a dress that Sunday. The process for trying on dresses was seamless and painless, thanks to Rowena. She truly is amazing at her job and makes you feel so comfortable. As for parking, there are a few stalls in their garage, or you can pull up on the grass up front if your car can go off-roading a little bit. There's also street parking nearby, but definitely carpool if you got several people coming by with you.

I visited Casablanca over a little less than a year ago now, and from my first visit to my very last, they were amazing. First off, don't be fooled by their smaller boutique, they have many dress options and were super accommodating on me wanting a long sleeve dress to cover my arm tattoos. They were totally non-judgemental and made me feel beautiful no matter what dress I tried on. I ended up going with a fitted mermaid style dress that was not what I expected- I originally wanted an a-line dress but somehow I fell in love with a totally different dress style. The dress was about 1-2 sizes too small, so we ordered the dress in one size up per the owner and 6 months later, my dress came in. Now, the only thing they didn't do was measure me at my first appointment, so unfortunately when the dress came in, it didn't fit me perfectly. It was definitely too tight on my arms and my chest area. They did say they could take out the dress and make alterations, but my mom felt that there wasn't enough room to let it out. They ended up calling the owner, who allowed me to look at a few new dresses that just came in while she checked if they could order my dress in another size up. Mind you, this was 3 months away from my wedding date, so I was really nervous that it wouldn't come in on time. I ended up trying on another dress closer to my original vision, a-line, long sleeve, and totally beautiful. Now this new dress was 2 sizes too big, but because of the original dress mishap, they said they would provide alterations for free! I was stunned by their kindness and their need to make what happened right. So now, 3 months before my wedding, I now had a new dress, and they were able to alter it to fit me perfectly. And listen, their tailor is literally amazing- so don't doubt the power of a great tailor, because the dress literally felt made for me after being way too big. To wrap it up, on my wedding day, my wedding coordinator did not know/could not zip up my dress. I'm going to skip all of the crash out moments (lol), but long story short, we called Casablanca, and they a) tried to explain it over the phone, then b) facetimed us to try and show how to get the dress to zip up, and when that didn't work, they literally drove down to my wedding venue and helped me into my dress. When I tell you these ladies are angels, I MEAN IT. I could not believe how much they were willing to do to make sure I was able to wear my incredibly beautiful dress. THANK YOU Casablanca!!! I cannot recommend them enough. You all are amazing and helped me feel "like a million bucks"!

Initially I liked both Jenny Yoo Martina dress ( simple, elegant style) and then Lillian West dress ( Boho floral lace style) that Rachel brought out to try on last. But for 2nd try on appointment, Jenny Yoo dress I liked was sold before I could try it on again. Their summer sale event ( all dresses discontinued from their racks on sale, so they can make room for new dress inventory) was going to occur the following week. I knew at that moment that I needed to select Lillian West dress, as my other option since there was no other dress from racks I wanted to try on from inital appointment and this appointment. The style I liked was A line, v neck with nice dress train and not too gothic, over bling out. With that summer sale, they cannot hold inventory for customers as it first come, first served when the shop opens. I selected that Lillian west dress before it sells off the racks. Rachel honored, gave me the sale price $500 with tax. With the alterations too, cost for the dress was over $1600 with total price of just under $1,000 for both dress, dress bag and alterations together. What a steal compared to show" Say yes to the dress", all the dresses at Kleinfield cost way more and other dress shops on the island. With the fittings, seeing both the dress with wedding veil I bought from Etsy seller along with the pearl drop earrings from Amazon, image of me as bride was stunning and made me feel like I'm ready to say I do. Masako held onto the dress until day before my December wedding as I was nervous if my cats destroy my dress happiness. I got many compliments from friends, family and my husband's co-workers who thought that dress was beautiful along with make up, hair style I had done. Very glad I went with Masako and genuinely recommend to future and engaged gals to come here if you are budget friendly shopper as the managers will work with your budget and provide recommendations. Please make an appointment online as they are appointment only, no walk in are allowed. Parking is at Whole Foods parking lot and walk over. But if you are picking up dress or having it cleaned/preserved, you are allowed to park in their assigned stalls, that way you do not carry that heavy thing across the street.

0/5 stars if possible. We were recommended to go here for an Army Ball in a couple of weeks, but warned about the customer service by one of the Sales Associates. My wife showed me the text messages about that after our experience... it's just dumb that certain people work where they can't work well with customers. While I am outside with the kiddos, my wife is trying on dresses. Her first time buying a dress for an Army Ball, has never shopped for these types of items, and is approached by a Sales Associate (SA) who is actually on the phone talking with someone about food. Yes, FOOD. SA's name is: Tricia. Older white lady. So she is working some angle about food (dinner plans?) on the phone while half-heartedly asking why my wife wants. Wife isn't certain, and like MOST people, stated she was "Just Looking". We've all said that before, right? While I am still outside, Tricia and my wife are working on the type of dress she is looking for. She's not certain, and after a few dresses, Tricia informs my wife "Well, you are being kind of picky." My wife is now ready to leave, but we drove from the other side of the island JUST for this store and she didn't want me to feel like she wasted our time. I'm still outside and don't know any of this. When I do go in, the SA seems knowledgable but VERY unfriendly. She wasn't rude while I was there, just not in the mood to help. After paying and walking to our vehicle, my wife explains the "being picky" comment. What kind of prior Drill Sergeant and First Sergeant would I be if I let that go? I walked back to the store, made sure there weren't ANY customers at the register, and it went like this: Her: "Oh, she's gone. And you're back. Did you forget something?" Me: "No. But my wife mentioned there was a comment about being picky and I wanted to come back and address it." Her: "Well, what I said was she wasn't giving me a lot to work with." Me: "And that's fine, but she's a customer. And you DID call her picky. So basically, we came to your store on a recommendation. You all should know (there were 2 other SAs behind the counter, looking at the floor and wall) we would be VERY hard pressed to recommend you to anyone else." Her: "Well, she wasn't giving me any guidance." *Note* At this point, she has admitted calling her a picky customer, and also that customers are there to give HER guidance. *End Note* Me: "I'm not here to argue, I'm just here to explain we will NOT be recommending your store to anyone else." In the middle of that sentence, she turns her back to me, walks to the wall and pretends to be doing something- Her: "Ok, thank you." She cut me off two more times to say "Ok, thank you" with her back turned to me. I then look at the other two SAs who obviously do NOT out rank her and are STILL staring at the floor and wall- Me: "Well, you two just heard this entire thing. I see neither of you will look at me, but you heard the entire thing." //break// So, I will not go back to that store. Nor would I ever recommend it. There are enough stores on Oahu for you to shop at, and you don't need to drive on H-1 through Honolulu just for this type of interaction. I didn't bring up her working out dinner arrangements on the phone while "helping" my wife, since I didn't know about that until I left again. Go. To. Another. Store. read more

Located on the corner of King Street and Smith Street, I parked in a loading zone which is free after 4pm. Inside, the store is filled with many gowns and even tuxedos! The variety colors and styles is overwhelming. I saw the arrows on the ground which help customers because a person could get lost in there! Service was friendly in the beginning, but cooled off in the end when I didn't like the dress that was suggested to me. I went in the dressing room, but didn't need help with the zipper. I did pull the straps shorter for a better fit, but tailoring the dress would be too much. If you need a wedding gown, suit, or prom dress, take a look here! Some styles look like beauty pageant fashion!

I've been a fan of Anne Namba's "kimono couture" from the early 1990's. The reason that I went into her boutique was because I needed some alterations done on two pieces that I wanted to wear for a special occasion during an upcoming Thanksgiving trip to the Mainland. Anne Namba's designs draws me in because I feel that I can "relate" to the styles. The way the garments are cut gives me a feeling of simple contemporary elegance. I'm not tall nor thin nor young in age but her styles can be tailored to fit (ALL women) so I've not felt intimidated into thinking that I should look like a model. Even the vintage fabrics are meticulously put together that you can accessorize to dress up or down. There's a line of EuroAsian-inspired printed silk if you're not into vintage kimono or obi based clothes. The clothing here can be custom designed or fitted for men and women. Before stepping foot into the boutique, I called and spoke to one of Anne's staff, Mary. I wanted to make sure that I could just drop by to get my silk duster fit and to replace the elastic in a pair of silk pants. Her voice effused friendliness and warmth over the phone. I brought in my pieces, she fit (measured) my garment, gave me an estimate for alteration and said their seamstresses would do their best to get the items done within 7 days. I asked her for home silk care and cleaning tips as I had a garment that had been badly "age or rust" spotted. While waiting for the alterations, I tried Mary's recommendations. Within minutes, my damaged garment was sparkling clean! Oh boy, I just had to tell Mary about the success of her tip! To my surprise, my alterations were completed within 4 days (including a weekend) so at first chance, I rushed back to the boutique. We chatted for a few minutes and I got a couple of more tips from her. My eyes danced with glee just looking around at all the new styles, fabrics and colors. I even zeroed in on an outfit that I'd love to have but, my retired person conscious got the better of me. I would encourage men and women of all ages to visit this boutique...you will be amazed by the quality, beauty and wearability of the garments. You'll support a local designer whose one-of-a-kind designs are classic and timeless. Initially I liked both Jenny Yoo Martina dress ( simple, elegant style) and then Lillian West dress ( Boho floral lace style) that Rachel brought out to try on last. But for 2nd try on appointment, Jenny Yoo dress I liked was sold before I could try it on again. Their summer sale event ( all dresses discontinued from their racks on sale, so they can make room for new dress inventory) was going to occur the following week. I knew at that moment that I needed to select Lillian West dress, as my other option since there was no other dress from racks I wanted to try on from inital appointment and this appointment. The style I liked was A line, v neck with nice dress train and not too gothic, over bling out. With that summer sale, they cannot hold inventory for customers as it first come, first served when the shop opens. I selected that Lillian west dress before it sells off the racks. Rachel honored, gave me the sale price $500 with tax. With the alterations too, cost for the dress was over $1600 with total price of just under $1,000 for both dress, dress bag and alterations together. What a steal compared to show" Say yes to the dress", all the dresses at Kleinfield cost way more and other dress shops on the island. With the fittings, seeing both the dress with wedding veil I bought from Etsy seller along with the pearl drop earrings from Amazon, image of me as bride was stunning and made me feel like I'm ready to say I do. Masako held onto the dress until day before my December wedding as I was nervous if my cats destroy my dress happiness. I got many compliments from friends, family and my husband's co-workers who thought that dress was beautiful along with make up, hair style I had done. Very glad I went with Masako and genuinely recommend to future and engaged gals to come here if you are budget friendly shopper as the managers will work with your budget and provide recommendations. Please make an appointment online as they are appointment only, no walk in are allowed. Parking is at Whole Foods parking lot and walk over. But if you are picking up dress or having it cleaned/preserved, you are allowed to park in their assigned stalls, that way you do not carry that heavy thing across the street.

The workers are very kind and accommodating. The dress was a reasonable price, pretty, in great condition and with accessories. I'm so glad I went with Lidia. I am petite and they cater mostly for Japanese people, so I'm not sure if they have larger sizes. Call or email them because their hours are limited. For the month of July, they were only open on Thursdays but they did respond to phone calls and emails. Location is in the Watamull building.

Made an appt for the next available Saturday which was 3 weeks away. My wedding is 10 months away, so I knew I had to give enough time for shipping. If all goes well, the dress will be arriving 4 months to the wedding, to which we have ample time for dress fitting. There are 2 main waiting areas at Casablanca, downstairs and upstairs. We waited downstairs until the previous party was completed with their appt, to which we then moved upstairs. I showed Rowena pictures, she pulled a 3 options out. I already knew I didn't like the way some of them looked, she then pulled out 3 more. Then I tried them on. By that point, I already narrowed it down to that 2nd set of 3, Rowena had picked out. Came back the next day with my mom and sister for final approvals. Paid for and ordered a dress that Sunday. The process for trying on dresses was seamless and painless, thanks to Rowena. She truly is amazing at her job and makes you feel so comfortable. As for parking, there are a few stalls in their garage, or you can pull up on the grass up front if your car can go off-roading a little bit. There's also street parking nearby, but definitely carpool if you got several people coming by with you.

I visited Casablanca over a little less than a year ago now, and from my first visit to my very last, they were amazing. First off, don't be fooled by their smaller boutique, they have many dress options and were super accommodating on me wanting a long sleeve dress to cover my arm tattoos. They were totally non-judgemental and made me feel beautiful no matter what dress I tried on. I ended up going with a fitted mermaid style dress that was not what I expected- I originally wanted an a-line dress but somehow I fell in love with a totally different dress style. The dress was about 1-2 sizes too small, so we ordered the dress in one size up per the owner and 6 months later, my dress came in. Now, the only thing they didn't do was measure me at my first appointment, so unfortunately when the dress came in, it didn't fit me perfectly. It was definitely too tight on my arms and my chest area. They did say they could take out the dress and make alterations, but my mom felt that there wasn't enough room to let it out. They ended up calling the owner, who allowed me to look at a few new dresses that just came in while she checked if they could order my dress in another size up. Mind you, this was 3 months away from my wedding date, so I was really nervous that it wouldn't come in on time. I ended up trying on another dress closer to my original vision, a-line, long sleeve, and totally beautiful. Now this new dress was 2 sizes too big, but because of the original dress mishap, they said they would provide alterations for free! I was stunned by their kindness and their need to make what happened right. So now, 3 months before my wedding, I now had a new dress, and they were able to alter it to fit me perfectly. And listen, their tailor is literally amazing- so don't doubt the power of a great tailor, because the dress literally felt made for me after being way too big. To wrap it up, on my wedding day, my wedding coordinator did not know/could not zip up my dress. I'm going to skip all of the crash out moments (lol), but long story short, we called Casablanca, and they a) tried to explain it over the phone, then b) facetimed us to try and show how to get the dress to zip up, and when that didn't work, they literally drove down to my wedding venue and helped me into my dress. When I tell you these ladies are angels, I MEAN IT. I could not believe how much they were willing to do to make sure I was able to wear my incredibly beautiful dress. THANK YOU Casablanca!!! I cannot recommend them enough. You all are amazing and helped me feel "like a million bucks"!

Hand sanitizers available for you before your shop and after upon exit to her store Great kudos to Valerie Joseph for her prompt responses to schedule appointments and to her Instagram account for display of her new products. My most current find (Thank you Brie!!! for my first mask chain holder) is the chain holders for the new normal "masks". They are custom made by a local gal artist. Gold and silver chains with a little charm or a Swarovski crystal and a safety pin that will hold your mask. Donned properly (check the Instagram postings) it looks classy and adds like another piece of jewelry. Priced right ($20-$30 each) they make wonderful gifts (Ladies! Jovelle's shop is filled with a huge collection of prom, pageant, cocktail, bridal dresses! There's also a separate dresses of rental dresses but if you ended up falling in love with a dress in the rental section and you would like to own it, you may have to discuss with Jovelle with the price difference.
