I just ate here for the first time with my family[we are from Cali] and lemme just tell you, it was way past goodt! The food was deliciously mouth-watering and the Horchata was scrumptious! Not too sure if it's the freshly made kind or the powdered one but it was yummy nonetheless! The Burrito I had was well-priced and huge and I definitely would want to come back again! Well if you like being ignored by staff when you walk in, by all means go to calitacos. The girls are rude and look right past you if your not Hispanic. I have been there several times and nobody acknowledges me, but as soon as a Hispanic customer walks in they immediately help them, looking right past me. Don't know why it took me I long to try this place. I live 5 mins away. All that wasted time! The food was really good. Birria is delicious! Not salty! Very well seasoned. Service was great. You still get served like a restaurant. The workers are friendly and helpful! The restaurant has lots of tvs and it's a little loud but we didn't mind the ambiance at all. Honestly not sure what happened to the restaurant. The taco truck was on point and never disappointed. It feels like it's usually a miss at the restaurant now which is sad. We came back to the establishment to try their "new" Birria; hoping it would change the experience and food. Sadly enough the Birria was not worth the price. The food was cold in the tacos and the caldo. The tacos now they give you more onion and cilantro than meat. The meat in the caldo was a small chunk... I'll wait a bit before coming back here again. I ordered the Burro Especial De Birria, I specifically asked to ensure they put cheese on this burrito, the cashier confirmed it did. I opened it up, it was literally a burrito of meat - NO CHEESE in it, no refried beans and rice, no guacamole and barely any cilantro and onion. If you order anything from this restaurant just expect a tortilla and meat, that's all you will receive no matter what you order. They definitely need help at the front and in the kitchen, because they seemed short handed, and are eating more than they can chew. Hope for the best for them. read more

We heard about Cali Tacos from AZ Food Guy off Instagram and decided to check it out. there is no way to get seated and the restaurant was clean. We got service right away and it didn't take long for the drinks & food to come out. Started off with the Cali fries, which is a great appetizer if you're in a group. The Barria tacos were the BEST! Everyone really enjoyed their food! besides the fast service and the great food, the price of everything was excellent. The only reason why I'm not giving this five stars is because I asked my waitress if I could have a non-alcoholic margarita but after she took her order, my family members said that they don't think she understood me. So we had to clarify again with another waitress to ensure that the margarita was not alcoholic which there wasn't. i'm glad my family said something because I do not drink. The waitress was nice, but the only thing is I wish that they had non-alcoholic margaritas. also, I wish they had bigger cups for water. 3 stars only because of the service. Woman behind the counter continued to cut me off while I was ordering by asking if that was all. I had a few questions and larger order to go and I felt rushed. Now onto the food. Birra Tacos were great, tasty and juicy, although heavy on the raw onion. Rice and beans were okay just lacking a little flavor, but nothing that dumping that delicious consomme on couldn't fix. Consomme had to be ordered seperately. Overall a good meal. Found hair in my fiancé's food. Also the server was really rude when I politely let her know my tacos had the wrong meat and she didn't apologize.. Took my food back and accused me of saying a different type of meat. Every previous time we've gone here they consistently take forever to send the bill back to us at the end of the meal. The street tacos are amazing. They have a lot of choices of meat. I don't remember all of them to list. We had the Cali burrito, which has fries inside it. My daughter said it was so good. The rolled tacos were delicious. They came with rice and real refried beans. There is a new location in Buckeye, which we will be checking out really soon. read more

Calitacos is epic. You know they are a great taco place when the local clientele are all Hispanic and packed! The atmosphere is great and the music is awesome and really sets the mood for tacos perfectly. We got 2 steak, 2 el pastor, and 2 carnitas tacos which were all delicious. You do have to outfit your own tacos with onions but that's no big deal. While this location may be a little bit of a drive, the flavor is well worth it. I will miss Calitacos when I return to the PNW next week. Highly, highly recommended! read more
