Unfortunately, she has faced significant challenges recently, as they have refused to take her to her critical doctor's appointments--not just once, but twice in a single day. This is particularly distressing, considering that she has undergone an amputation and is in need of reliable transportation for her medical needs. There have been instances where, despite the company's prior knowledge of her condition, they instructed her to get up and walk to their vehicle rather than providing the necessary assistance. At one point, there was even a suggestion that she should walk from her home to a new van instead of being supported during this challenging time. It is shocking and deeply troubling to see how dismissively they handled her situation. Call the Car was aware that she required help--she needed a ambulance for accessible vehicle, and they had the resources to provide that. Yet, instead, they sent men who were ill-suited for the task, compounding the embarrassment and difficulty for a woman in her position. She is not just a client; she is a mother, a sister, an aunt--someone with valuable family ties and connections. To be treated with such a lack of compassion is simply unacceptable. When she was told to "get up and walk" to go downstairs, it felt as though they were trivializing her genuine and pressing needs. It is alarming that a company contracted to deliver care and support could exhibit such a lack of empathy. Repeatedly, we experienced situations where communication from Call the Car led to a sense of false reassurance. They would make statements like, "Oh, everything is okay; my guy is coming now," yet this turned out to be nothing but empty promises. Their reassurances were a façade, masking the reality of their failures to meet our expectations. It became increasingly clear that their assurances were merely chatter, a way to placate us without any actual intent or ability to provide the necessary service. This has not been an isolated problem; it has happened on multiple occasions. They signed a contract, agreeing to provide the level of care required, yet they have consistently dropped the ball. Each instance felt like a betrayal of trust, as we relied on them to uphold their side of the agreement and deliver the support my fiancé desperately needed. Their lack of concern and inability to understand the gravity of her situation led us to question their competence and integrity profoundly. In conversations with their representatives, it became painfully evident that they lacked both empathy and an understanding of the real-world impact of their actions--or lack thereof. We were met with indifference, which only served to exacerbate our frustration. Instead of feeling supported, we left each conversation disheartened, struggling with the ongoing realization that the very service we had sought out to assist us was instead contributing to our stress and distress. At this point, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Call the Car to anyone in need of similar services. The repeated failures and lack of professionalism demonstrated by their staff signifies a serious gap in what they claim to provide and what they deliver in reality. ZERO TO INFINITY, THAT WOULD BE MY RATING OF CALL THE CAR. THE ABSOLUTE WORST POSSIBLE CAR SERVICE EVER!!!!! Set up my account with a Blue Shield provider on the phone with me and CTC, stating my underline incurable medical conditions, and requesting a large car to accommodate my main medical condition, lymphedema from having six surgeries on my kidneys my legs now have this condition. This condition has greatly reduced my ability for normal movement, especially entering and exiting a vehicle. The account was also noted for NO PRIUS OR YELLOW CAB, as these vehicles are too small to enter and exit safely without causing further pain or damage to my legs. Even with this information CTC has sent three Prius cars to transport me to my doctor appointments. After numerous phone calls and filed grievances to Blue Sield regarding THE TOTAL LACK OF SERVICE PROVIDED BY CTC, the outcome letters coming back from Blue Shield have always been the same regurgitated rhetoric from CTC: IF THEY HAVE AVAILABILITY, THEY WILL SEND YOUR PERFERRED CHOICE OF TRANSPORT, WHICH N-E-V-E-R HAPPENS!!!!! So, I ask why make reservations with CTC when they will just send ANY VEHICLE regardless of your preference. Individuals trying to use this service DO HAVE LIGETIMATE PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT NECESSITATE A PARTICULAR MODE OF TRANSPORTATION, PERIOD. And if CTC cannot OR MORE LIKELY WILL NOT ACCOMADATE A SPECIFIC REQUEST DUE TO COSTS TO THEM, THEN BLUE SHIELD SHOULD FIND ANOTHER PERVEYOR TO SERVICE THEIR MEMBERS PROFESSIONALLY. Additionally, was CTC truly vetted by Blue Shield, or were the SUITS at Blue Shield "bought off" and signed the contract? In any case, I have made my voice heard to Blue Shield, noting from my personal experience, and reading the reviews of others regarding their experience with CTC that IT IS ONLY A MATTER TIME BEFORE BLUE SHIELD IS NAMED IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST CALL THE CAR. I am compelled to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by CALL THE CAR, who contract with IEHP in Riverside County for Medical transportation of the handicapped. Upon our loved one's discharge from the hospital after a five-day stay, the case manager informed us that transport would arrive at 5 PM. However, the transport failed to arrive for five hours, causing undue distress. When the transport finally arrived, we were dismayed to find that the two personnel, who appeared to be foreign nationals with limited English proficiency, lacked the necessary training for transporting a stroke survivor. Furthermore, they did not possess a medical sling and instead utilized the hospital's fitted sheet to transfer our fragile family member. They struggled to execute the transfer from the gurney to his room and requested that I, a 78-year-old caregiver, assist by bringing his wheelchair to facilitate the transfer. It is noteworthy that the ambulance paramedics had previously transported our loved one to the hospital without issue, utilizing a larger gurney. The CALL THE CAR personnel failed to successfully transfer our loved one to his wheelchair and proceeded to use the fitted sheet, requesting my assistance in carrying the lower portion of his body while they carried the top. As we approached the patient's door, the personnel dropped our loved one, causing him to hit his head, neck, and back on the doorway and floor. I managed to maintain my grip, preventing further injury. The personnel then proceeded to sit on the patient's bed before placing him on it. Ultimately, I took it upon myself to complete the transfer, successfully relocating our loved one to his bed. We possess video documentation of this incident, should it be permissible to share on this platform. DO NOT TRUST "CALL THE CAR," in transporting nor doing medical transferring, you'll be traumatized for life! This transport was a NIGHTMARE! read more

I've been using this CTC app for a couple years now, and it has gone through some changes with a few updates for bugs, etc. But all in all, my experience has been positive overall. Granted, you're not going to always get the best driver, and sometimes its a roll of the dice. However, as far as the app itself goes, it's so convenient, and even for someone who's not all that tech-savvy, it's a helluva lot better than calling cabs like back in the ancient days lol I love the fact that it gives me control of activating my ride, and immediately, I get a response that my driver is on the way along with tracking. Horrible service had service failure on a day I had scheduled a ride to Glendale from Santa Monica for a doctor's appointment. Was called by the vendor at time of pickup to say he was still an hour away. Had to cancel doctor's appointment and got no satisfactory explanation why their vendor was so late. Just saying there was traffic is not satisfactory excuse because anyone who lives in Southern California knows there's traffic and you need to allow extra time to get places on time. Cannot recommend this service their vendors are unreliable. Got the normal lip service from representative but vendor had no apologies. Use at your own peril read more

Callthecar drivers are rude. Instead of tending to the customers. One employee nicole Sandoval is fucking in the van while she is on her break time. She's always on her phone while driving and flirting up a storm with the other driver Anthony. Then she is rude, drives way too fast and doesn't help the customer in or out of the van. She sits there and spreads rumors about an ex of hers that isn't true. This woman is mentally unstable and needs a counselor. She also needs to get her priorities straight and take care of her kids, not leave them in her car as she puts the work van in the lot. read more
