    Misogynist bartender
    Carolyn D.

I came here last night and waited patiently at the bar to order like everyone else. It was busy but I was talking to the girl next to me who had arrived after me. We established that we would point out the other when one of the bartenders finally got to us. After 15 minutes, the bartender locked eyes with me so I gave a smile and wave to indicate I would like service. He waved back, fingers under the chin (à la Little Rascals) so I smiled and did it back. He then lifted up his shirt and showed his nipples, miming "show me your t***," while laughing about it with his coworker. I was there at the bar for 30 minutes when he got to us but he ignored us and took the orders of the group who literally just showed up. We had to wave and insist we had been waiting. He reluctantly took all our orders and repeated it back to us but only made the other party's drinks & went on to serve new customers, never even making ours. I came here to support a friend who was DJing but would not come back because of this experience . This is sexual harassment and he had zero remorse or professionalism. Don't waste your time or money. We left, without being served after nearly 40 minutes, even after ordering twice.

Best experience at a downtown Fullerton bar!

I went in today, first time since it was Joe's. I wasn't sure how the place changed since the last time I went (quite some time ago). The bartender Yvette is 100% why I would go back!!! She was SOOO welcoming and had the best recommendations for drinks and food! AND she was the nicest, most attentive bartender I've had in a really long time! Service goes a long way and I will definitely be back literally because of her! I haven't been other times during the week or know the other bartenders but if they are anything like Yvette, this place is worth it anytime or any day!!! The food was also AMAZING!!!

    This one is personal !

A peek into Irish pub. This one is a bit personal. Gnasher, my puppy first mingle at the pub. And there's some peronal stuffs about this Irish pub. The town is very tiny and a lot of pubs around the corner. I usually end up here and it's remind me of Brooklyn dive bar. When I was young, I used to work in Dorian Gray Irish pub in East Village, NYC. Foods are ok and drinks are cheap. There's live music and grand piano as you see in the picture. I'll keep it by myself why this is more personal spot for me. Many bars around and I choose to be here. Packed in the weekend for sure.

The pastrami burger is it! To the chef, compliments to you!! Service is good once you flag your server/bartender.

We tried a couple of appetizers, clams and meatballs. Both were delicious! If you're a bourbon drinker, try their oxtail Old Fashioned. So many delightful flavors! In the spirit of nose-to-tail, one of our dishes was their take on oxtails. Tender and flavorful, definitely recommend trying it. Hanger steak was grilled to perfection. The skirt steak was special. The staff really took excellent care of us. Griffin's might not be the least expensive option in Brea, but it might just be the best price/value. We will be back! Cheers!

We went early for happy hour, I got an old fashion and my wife got "danger is my middle name", same cocktails we got last time but were war too sweet. We were disappointed in these drinks, they were much better last time. Our bartender Jose was very personable but needs to be better. The table next to us ordered a Rombauer Chardonnay, got the wrong white wine, shows he wasn't paying attention. We started with a Caesar salad, a tad over dressed, too much dressing but we really enjoyed it. I had the whole snapper which was excellent, my wife got the shrimp tacos, she didn't enjoy that, it was over spiced, too hot and not mentioned on the menu ingredients. So many dishes on the menu were spicy, a lot for the small menu. I suggest management add indicators which dishes are spicy. Some were hits, some were misses but overall a disappointing experience

For example, the cottage cut (seven ounces) costs $39 instead of $59 on Wednesdays. Despite the pricy menu items, the food quality, service, and ambience make for an excellent opportunity to celebrate a special occasion. Firstly, we ordered the seaside sampler for four as an appetizer. This included Chesapeake Bay-style crab cakes, chilled Mexican prawns, and ahi sashimi. I enjoyed the ahi sashimi the most as the large and fresh slices had a nice sear with a savory seasoning on the edges. The crab cakes tasted great and filling with a dill horseradish aioli as the menu listed. While I didn't try the prawns, my mom enjoyed those the most as they had a slightly sweet flavor. I did enjoy the cocktail sauce. Secondly, I ordered the cottage cut, which included seven ounces of roasted prime rib, creamed corn au gratin, creamed spinach, and a Yorkshire popover. The cut tasted lovely at medium rare as it had a soft texture and good balance of meat and fat. I appreciated that my mom got an especially thick cut of prime rib. Seven ounces feels just right for me given that the entree includes other sides. The creamed corn au gratin tasted a little sweet without an overwhelming flavor. I liked how the creamed spinach had a similar taste. A Yorkshire popover has an airy texture with a buttery and eggy taste. Au jus and horseradish butter elevated the prime rib. Thirdly, we had an English trifle for dessert. The menu says that the trifle consists of cake layers soaked with rum and brandy, including English custard, strawberries, Chantilly cream, and caramelized sliced almonds. It had a uniquely sweet flavor due to the soaking, and the almonds provided some crunch. I found the dessert tasty. I found the staff polite, friendly, and professional. Our server disclosed the discounts on their prime rib cuts and listed their prices. She also mentioned other featured entrees in detail. The staff also consistently refilled my water glass. We also had the opportunity to ask another staff member for olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette for our baked bread. He came back and made a little small talk, fondly reminiscing how his former restaurant would serve the same sauces with their bread. My mom also got a birthday card with a printed message and signatures from the staff. The restaurant provided a simply elegant ambience. While entering the indoor seating area, we passed an exhibition kitchen and table displaying various desserts. Customers generally wore semi-formal clothing, and the restaurant recommends business-casual attire. A pianist played various songs and tunes to make for a fancy yet calm atmosphere. I especially enjoyed how the pianist played "Clair de lune." It felt nice to experience a rare moment of hearing classical music played inside a restaurant. The restaurant also provides valet parking if you can't find a convenient spot.

Down the Rabbit Hole at STORY -- Anaheim Hills…read more If you've ever wanted to fall straight into Wonderland, STORY in Anaheim Hills is your rabbit hole. From the moment I walked in, I was enchanted -- plush tufted velvet booths in dreamy blues, cascading candlestick chandeliers, walls lined with vintage books, and the most whimsical tablescapes I've ever seen. A teapot-and-teacup candelabra dripping with flowers and pocket watches greeted us like something straight off the Mad Hatter's table. Curiosity encouraged, reality optional, indeed. Half the fun was the crowd -- patrons in their finest hats and full Wonderland regalia, everyone leaning into the magic. The black-and-white spiral placemats and mismatched rose-painted china made every corner Instagram gold. We did the **Mad Hatter's Tea ($40 per guest)**, and it delivered both on theme and on flavor. The presentation arrives on a gleaming gold three-tiered stand, and there's a delightful Asian-fusion twist woven through the classic high-tea lineup: - **Goat & feta cheese pinwheels** -- pink whipped goat cheese with roasted beet purée, Genoa salami, and arugula in a spinach tortilla, finished with balsamic and honey drizzle. As pretty as they were tasty. - **Tea sandwiches** -- delicate chicken salad, egg salad, ham & dijon, and cucumber & cream cheese. - **Mozzarella, cantaloupe & prosciutto skewers** -- fresh and light. - **Freshly baked scones, danishes, and buttermilk biscuits** with whipped honey butter and strawberry jam -- warm, flaky, and exactly what high tea should be. - A sizzling **garlic shrimp skillet** with charred lemon and toasted bread that we added on -- savory and satisfying. And the theatrical touches! Each guest gets a **Tea Forté** selection (the Green Mango Peach and White Ginger Pear were lovely), a glass of sparkling wine, and a darling little **"Drink Me" potion bottle** to share -- a perfect Wonderland flourish. STORY is more than a meal; it's an experience. Whether you're celebrating, planning a girls' day, or just want to escape into something beautiful, put on your favorite hat and come play. We'll absolutely be back.

The smoked salmon flatbread wasn't as good, it looks very colorful and pretty, but I didnt think the flavors went together very well.
