They are a locally owned shop and everyone that works here seem like good, honest, friendly reliable folks. 2. They (specifically Brian) seem responsible enough to quickly reply and address concerns when I had an issue with my vehicle after I got my car back from them. 3. Very thorough in their initial analysis/ inspection/ diagnostic... I'm talking pictures, proof of all that they did with details and recommendations - which I find valuable since most auto shops tend to not disclose much or when they do they try to keep things cryptic. 4. If you are close by, they do give you a ride home or provide a rental car depending on how long they keep your vehicle. Cons: 1. I went in with a check/ service engine light on and it cost me around $200 to diagnose it. Also, they first quoted a price and then increased it by almost $100 when they billed me. However when I pointed this out, they did agree to reduce it back to the original quote. 2. I was informed that there was something critically wrong with the wheel bearing. And to get this replaced cost me a little over $850. I just went ahead with their recommendation. Overall I felt them to be significantly over the higher end of average cost of repair for just about everything. Total bill was a little over $1600. To be fair, I do have a rather old car but it has been maintained very well over the years. 3. The work done seemed good for the most part until that I noticed a metal on metal squeaking on a slightly long trip that I took the day after I got it back from the shop. It felt very unsafe driving my car. I was half expecting something to fall apart on the highway. For such high costs, the QA was not adequately done. That said, when I called them up they did accommodate me immediately and got it resolved quickly. 4. They do take a long time to work on the vehicle. I left my vehicle on a Friday and got it back the following Wednesday. Also, the communication was lacking. Did not hear back when they said they would get back and I had to keep checking in with them. Bottom line, I would recommend this place but go in with the expectation that it will be expensive. Maybe it was my bad experience that I had to take my car back since it wasn't road tested properly but I would not assume this happens to everyone. Cheers!

My spouse likes the owner and I have always thought that they charge way too much and they continually upsell services that aren't needed. Recently, for an oil change, I had to pay $850 for a caliper replacement along with an air filter placement. Totally unnecessary. I talked with the manager and asked them for pictures that he said they took before the service was done. He said yes, we took pictures and that he would send them to me. Well, my spouse did not see any of the pictures during her time there. And the manager never sent me the pictures. To me, it seems pictures were not taken. This is quite deceptive and I want to let people know that this is a very expensive automotive service center that I do not recommend. I believe they take advantage of individuals that don't know anything about cars. What alerted me after the last visit is that they told my spouse that it was pretty dangerous to drive without replacing the calipers. There was no uneven break pad wear. They said the calipers were leaking, but they never sent me the pictures to document this. They said they would but James did not follow through. Please beware. I would stay away from this business.

She had only driven it a few thousand miles when it suffered a serious oil-system failure while she was traveling to Montana. After reaching Idaho, the check-engine light and an oil-pressure warning came on. She immediately pulled over and discovered that oil had sprayed all over the back of the vehicle. She had to leave the Tiguan at Volkswagen of Post Falls, continue her trip without it, and later make another trip to Idaho just to retrieve her vehicle. She was told that the oil separator/PCV valve failed, causing the oil pan to crack and damaging the rear engine seal. After researching the problem, we learned that failures involving Volkswagen's 2.0-liter engines and PCV/oil-separator systems have been widely reported and are now the subject of a class-action lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges that Volkswagen knew or should have known about the problem. Despite purchasing an extended powertrain warranty after being told it would cover the engine, my daughter was informed that these repairs were not covered. Volkswagen of Puyallup has not offered to help with the approximately $1,600 repair bill, the disruption to her trip, or the additional travel required to recover her vehicle. She was essentially told that she was out of luck. As her mother, I am extremely disappointed by how she has been treated. A vehicle purchased from an authorized Volkswagen dealership should not experience this type of major failure after less than a year and only a few thousand miles of use, especially when the failure appears consistent with a widely reported problem. At the very least, I expected Volkswagen of Puyallup to take her concerns seriously and make a meaningful effort to help. Instead, they have taken no responsibility and offered no support.

I was verbally assured that the vehicle had been serviced, including fluids and filters, and that the electronic concern had been inspected by a manufacturer's dealership and confirmed to be normal. After the purchase, the issue persisted, so I had the vehicle evaluated by an authorized dealership. They confirmed there was, in fact, an electronic issue and noted several maintenance items had not been completed as represented, including low or dirty fluids and an unchanged engine air filter. I chose Rairdon as a large, reputable dealership because I expected a high level of honesty and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. For future buyers, I would strongly encourage independent verification of any claims prior to purchase rather than relying solely on verbal assurances. Reputation matters, but it ultimately relies on the integrity and follow-through of those representing the business.
