Steve shows up this morning and I told him what had happened with duplex printing. Instead of telling me I need some expensive parts to repair it. Found that the movers must have jostled the rollers loose. We found the parts behind the desk, he put it together in less than 5 minutes and was out the door. Couldn't be happier and more pleased. It is great to see that there are still companies that operate with integrity around here. Will definitely use their services again and spread the good word.

Checked out their website, then gave them a call about cleaning up my Mac before my vacation. I put it off to the last minute and wasn't sure they could help. Luckily, they could help me, and the rush fee was $100. I love that fact they picked up the phone and it wasn't some dead doornail employee who could care less about my computer issue. Chris, the owner, actually answered the phone. He said to bring it down. I came in that same day and he told me they would: clean it up, install new OS, remove junk, and speed it up overall. He quoted me end of the week, but it was ready sooner, so happy about because it would be ready for vacation. Total came out to about $430 with the rush fee. It's been about 6 weeks now and my computer is running amazing, so fast! They also have refurbished Macs for sale, which I'll be back for when my current computer stops working. Super 5 Stars for DC Computers! They care about their business and customers. So glad I found them.

Before we could even negotiate, the employee, a tall Hispanic man in a blue shirt, became incredibly aggressive. He falsely claimed my MacBook was bought outside the US and had a "Spanish keyboard," which is a total lie since I bought it at a US Apple Store. When I corrected him, he scoffed, literally threw my MacBook back at me, walked away, and snapped, "I ain't interested." Throwing a customer's expensive electronics is completely unacceptable and borderline violent. Management needs to check their cameras and handle this employee immediately.

I searched online for Tech Support in San Diego and then contacted several firms. Some were not responding to voice mail messages and, when we eventually spoke, had high rates and long lead times before a tech could be sent to my office. John Airy of On-Site Techs returned my call almost immediately, has reasonable rates and could see me the next day. Once John assessed the time for transfer of data from computer to computer, he recommended saving time by taking the two laptops to his location to complete the data transfer. He then was willing to return on a holiday to adjust the views on the new computer to my familiarity so that I could function for the next work day. John is extremely knowledgeable, proficient and efficient. He communicated well to explain how views could be adjusted and he made good suggestions without tying to upsell programs. He has an excellent professional manner. I intend to retain the services of On-Site Techs as my local source for any of my computer issues. John is simply outstanding for his business performances.

After changing the battery, he checked all the settings and tried to optimize them as much as possible. When I first brought my 2025 MacBook Air to him my concern was that the cursor would freeze for 15 - 30 seconds quite often, and the round balloon kept appearing and would not let me do anything on the computer also for 15 - 30 seconds throughout the day. Also, it just seemed slow when I tried to open a pages document. Maddening. I told him I know nothing about computers and that I wanted it to work the way it always had since I bought it. He told me he would have to reinstall the operating system. What do I know? I said sure. Even now while typing, the computer stops typing every so often and I have to wait about 15 - 30 seconds for my computer to catch up and print my words. Continuing with my sad tale of woe. I came back the next day and paid him $170. Unfortunately when I got home the computer was not the same. To start with my desktop did not have any of the documents I had saved to it and there were other problems. So I called him and I asked him why he returned my computer to me when it was not the same computer I brought into him. He said I could put everything back on the desktop and he started to rattle off what I needed to do. Ridiculous! I stopped him and reminded him that I said I was tech challenged and did not feel competent to do that. His response was for another $70. he would put my desktop back the way it was. Outrageous that he would half fix my computer, return it to me not the way I gave it to him and then he wanted to charge me more. So I foolishly paid him and the next day my desktop was what it used to be. However, there remained other problems such as my Passkey not working but decided, rather than call him, to call Apple support and they were able to resolve these several issues. Here it is 2 -3 weeks later and I am again having the same problems with the ball and the cursor freezing throughout the day. Also, my computer is being very slow to open my Pages documents. The very same problems he supposedly fixed when he reinstalled my operating system. For sure I will not let Mr. Chip touch my machine again but I will take it to a repair shop that I have used before. The only reason I didn't use them this time is they were backed up and said they couldn't get to my computer for at least 2 days. I should have shown patience and waited. My bad!

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 and I got the message that the printhead appeared to be missing,…read morenot detected or incorrectly installed. After wasting about a half an hour of my time on a frustrating AI phone call with HP, I hung up and googled "Where can I get my printer fixed in San Diego?" Printer Repair Depot came up, and because I didn't relish the thought of having to lug that heavy printer anywhere (I am not a spring chicken), I decided to call them in advance just to make sure it would be worth it. I spoke to a very nice guy named Joe. He told me that HP no longer manufactures those printheads, and that it used to be an easy $299 fix out the door getting you a new printhead installed with four ink cartridges. I told him maybe I should check online and see if I can find someone that has a printhead for sale and he very honestly said he thought that was a good idea, but couldn't officially recommend it. Sure enough, on Amazon.com, I was able to get a new printer with four extra large ink cartridges delivered the very next day and I installed it in five minutes with no problems. I have a happy printer now, but I promised Joe that if I ever needed further assistance, I would definitely go to Printer Repair Depot and that I would strongly recommend these guys to anybody who needs help with their printer.

I called numerous similar computer businesses and with the model number of my laptop, and model number of my battery that needs to be replaced they were instantly able to give me a price of replacement costs of the batter and labor...if a business can not do that ( " after twenty years") maybe they need a new business !
