    Calvin is a gem! Our AC was broken and we desperately needed someone to come out to help us. After calling and getting quotes through yelp for numerous companies (some did not repair, most did not have open availabilities until the end of the month or next month) I finally found Calvin. Seriously, when you need someone to help you, when it feels like there isnt anyone, you try to get the help no matter how many reviews a company has. I feel like I'm letting the best kept secret out right now. He saved us when we needed the help ASAP. He made sure the job was done and done right. Calvin always kept in contact with us and I will be using him from now on for all our AC needs. FYI, He accepts cash or check ------------------------------------------- Here is the long story of our AC troubles and how Calvin saved us. I appreciate him coming out so much that I even took the time to type this all out! Got our AC serviced two weeks ago by another company. They refilled 3lbs of refrigerant. Came home from a trip after a week to our AC absolutely not working... on a Saturday mind you. Called the company and explained the situation. They said to call a repair company. I couldnt find the companies closest to Ewa to come out ASAP or even answer their phones. I waited till Monday to start contacting businesses again. I made an appointment for an estimate for Wednesday from one company but also got someone else to come on Monday to take a look. Took a chance and paid for it even though they were not able to fix my issue. Talk about desperate. They said my refrigerant was low again. So there was a possible leak. Wednesday comes and another guy comes out to check the leak. They used soap and water found possible location but was not able to fix it and soonest appointment for repair would be the following Saturday. NOT something you want to hear when you live in Ewa and need AC and have to stay at your parents house until the AC is up again. Lol Thursday I'm desperately trying to contact everyone on yelp. I'm sure I contacted the same companies multiple times because I cant remember who I called and who I just overlooked. Then... I get in touch with Calvin. I told him that I have a leak in our central AC unit and the story of how the previous company found it etc. He said he would be able to come by on Friday at 1pm and he would fix the issue. Heck yeah! Friday comes and I show him the unit and he said he could check the system for additional leaks while I'm like nah.. (of course because I'm a cheapo and didnt want to pay for the nitrogen test again when the last company said where it was) so, I just said to do what needs to be done on that part. He was happy to get to work until I told him my husband said to do what he needs to do because the guy on Wednesday couldnt isolate the system. Calvin just said he was going to start fresh. Not take in to account what anyone said before. He found the leak that wasnt even the place the other company said. He got the entire outside unit up to standard. When he told me to turn on the system, the outside unit turned on and I thought I was good to go but... no cold air. I figure give it time. Nope. Calvin stayed to check what was going on. He went into the attic to find that the fan wasnt blowing! Man I'm so glad he didnt leave. He didnt just take my payment before making sure the system worked. Although Calvin had another appointment to get to, he did say he would come back the next day to check out the fan to see which part he would need to get as it could be one of a few things. And being the great honest guy that he is, he said it was just tacking on to today as opposed to being like another service call which is minimum 2 hours. On Saturday, Calvin comes back and finds the issue. And although the store to get the parts wasnt open, he assured me he would contact me for the quote of the part. Let's just say, today... I have AC again! Once I felt the cool air blowing, I thought I could cry! I wish I contacted Calvin the first day that our AC went down. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We paid KK Air Conditioning (Kent Muramoto the owner) $53,000+ to install central air conditioning -- 2 new units -- in our home in Waianae and have had nothing but trouble with company and the owner. - Consistent rattling of the intake air vent for over a year and they've done nothing but bandaid fixes until we demanded they permanently fix them instead of using cheap double sided tape to rig the system - 1.5 yrs into having the units i've gotten a HUGE leak that's in my master closet and master bedroom. (most recent situation.) - I had to hire another industry professional to take care of the leak problem that Kent Muramoto (the owner) is NOT able to fix. - We've had to get multiple outside technicians to review the problem and they all said it was an installation and maintenance issue that cause these leaks - In a final attempt to try and fix the issue, Kent Muramoto has made the problem worse and now i'm left with a BROKEN AND INOPERABLE system, AGAIN. I've been left with nothing but stress and ongoing issues ever since this company stepped into my home. Kent Muramoto has been very UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL in regards to the issues we've experienced.

    Fast and detailed responses. I was given a tentative quote for a cleaning on my split units after…read moregiving them the necessary information. It was not the cheapest but I was impressed by their timely responses and no sales pitch. Very straightforward. I was given several dates and times to choose from and they scheduled me. Two techs showed up, a little early which was perfect, they got right to it. Super polite, took their shoes off. My AC's were filthy and gross. They cleaned and sanitized without leaving any mess behind. My refrigerant was low with a suspected leak, however that will have to be a next month problem. They urged me to top off and fix the leak as soon as possible and let me know what would happen if I didn't fix it soon. Message received and understood. Thank you Ultimate Air Conditioning! I'll be in touch next month! Ps: the AC was cold before but it is extremely cold and feels super clean now.     Updated Review (05/08/2026): Woke up this morning to a wet spot on my couch. Can you guess what…read morecaused it? Our a/c is still leaking, even after someone was sent to remedy the situation. This is so unacceptable. I paid over $400 to get my a/c cleaned, and now I'll probably be stuck with an even bigger bill to get it repaired or replaced since something is clearly wrong with it now after this company 'cleaned' my a/c units. Buyer beware. Further Update (05/08/2026): The company contacted me via text, and it is clear they are not capable of properly assessing an a/c system prior to beginning a service nor are they capable of handling systems that drain into a single drain line. A quick Google search indicates that two a/c units sharing a single drain is not uncommon, so I fear for others who have the same type of system as me. While they remained professional in their communications at first (which was the primary reason for my initial revised 4-star review), it is apparent that they do not have the knowledge or skills to properly complete the job for which they are hired and they aren't willing to take accountability for damage that they caused. If they didn't know how to handle a system like ours, then they should not have performed the service in the first place. Our a/c units were in perfect working condition (no issues, no leaks) before they came to 'clean' it for us. We've scheduled to have another company assess the damage and repair it for us, which will now cost hundreds of dollars more than the initial cleaning cost. For this reason, it is not hard to see why a customer would give a 1-star review and a strong 'do not recommend' warning to others.     Air conditioning repair in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. Our chapel felt like a sweatbox. Several people played with the remote control, but no one could get the temperature lower. I think the air conditioning wasn't working for about a week, but yesterday was the last straw. Father Adondee looked at me and said, "You'd better call someone." "Yes, Father!" I looked on my Yelp app for air conditioning repair and Jimmys AC Repair & Maintenance was the first business that popped up. This company had good reviews, so I called and they answered the phone right away. I told them that we were suffering and needed help. The receptionist said they would be there the next day... He stated that there's a flat fee of $250 plus tax to diagnose the unit. Okay... Thank you!!! Jimmy called before he came over. He was very professional and efficient. He introduced us to Jeff, his coworker that he was training. Cool! We showed them the unit. They opened the panel, and diagnosed the problem quickly! He explained everything well and understood that we would have to go through the Finance Council to approve a new air-conditioning unit. Jimmy understood that it would take time and that if we wanted to get other quotes and compare, other companies could be cheaper and that he's not the cheapest... but you get what you pay for... He also patiently answered my safety questions instead of trying to scare me into a service call. I honestly can't remember the last time a repair technician talked me out of spending money. It was one of the most refreshingly honest interactions I've had with any service professional. Jimmy earned my trust in a single conversation, and that says a lot.
