Restarting my journey on having long nails after I made the mistake of trying to do them myself.
    Elizabeth N.

I love having my natural nails super long and healthy. Tammi is very good at what she does. A nail artist that cares about the health of your nails is not easy to find. But she is it! Her studio is comfy and always clean. A necessity for me. Watching a movie and getting your nails done at the same time is always a plus. I'm a mani/pedi girl. I can't have one without the other and now a days nail artist don't want to do pedicures. Tammi does a great job with my pedicures.

I went in for a pedicure and Tammy did not disappoint. She trimmed and shape my toe nails just how I asked. She took her time in cleaning my cuticles. And her polishing skills are amazing! Loved her homemade sugar scrub! She uses Dazzle Dry polish which I absolutely love(one of the best in the nail industry in my opinion) it literally dries in 15mins! And lasts forever! Tammy is located in her own private studio which is super cute and clean. She also offered me a cup of coffee and let me watch Law and Order SVU. I loved everything about my experience at Calyx Nails.

100% recommend Tammy! I started getting my nails done about a year ago. I let Tammy know that I had no experience getting my nails done and Tammy made me feel right at home. She taught how to best take care of my nails and I couldn't thank her enough. She is the only nail tech I trust with my nails. Her work is AMAZING! And her studio is always clean and welcoming.

He started measure gel x tips and I had to remind him we were doing acrylic. He should have said that he cannot do acrylic because, he cannot do acrylic. It was some of the worst acrylic application I have ever seen in my life. Sloppy, lazy, trash. I should have got up after seeing his acrylic application on my first hand. That's my fault. When he was done filing I asked if he could even out the nails because they were lumpy. He proceeded to make the shape even worse and still lumpy. I asked if I should wash my hands after filing (every shop I have ever gone to in my life has told me to) and he said no. I should have stopped him here too. It took him an hour and a half just to put the acrylic on. At this point I realized he was either talentless or purposely messy my nails up. So I skipped the nail art I asked for and asked just for plain gel polish on top. At the end I told the lady at the front that I hated my nails and showed her and she understood and told me I could come back and have someone else fix them. Initially I accepted the offer but I have since canceled the appointment. I would rather die than trust this shop ever again. If I could give Jay 0 stars I would. Beware, this guy is horrible.

I chose this salon expecting a professional experience. When a business advertises licensed…read moreprofessionals and charges premium prices, I expect professional-quality work. Unfortunately, this appointment fell well below that standard. I was originally quoted $80 for a Gel-X set, but once I arrived I was told there would be an additional $10 charge just to remove my existing Gel-X. From there, nearly every option came with another surcharge. Glitter was an additional charge, and placing the glitter at the base of the nail instead of the tip increased the price even further. The pricing structure felt confusing and constantly changing, making it difficult to know what the final cost would be. After hearing the additional charges, I decided against getting a new set and paid $45 for a manicure after the Gel-X removal. For $45, I expected my natural nails to leave looking polished and professionally finished. Instead, I left with: * Jagged, uneven nail edges that were not properly filed * Visible product residue still left on multiple nails * Uneven nail surfaces * Dry, unfinished cuticles * Nails that looked incomplete rather than professionally manicured I took photos immediately after leaving because I couldn't believe this was the finished result. The service itself was also disappointing. My technician, Annie, repeatedly stopped working on my nails to answer phone calls and attend to other matters. The appointment felt interrupted and rushed instead of relaxing. A manicure should feel calm and focused. This did not. The salon also raised concerns for me. The supply/storage area visible to customers was cluttered and disorganized, and I observed nail files being reused, which made me question the sanitation standards. Even checkout was frustrating. I wanted to leave a tip for the technician who performed my pedicure because she did a nice job, but the payment process made it difficult to direct the gratuity to the correct person. The biggest disappointment is that none of these issues should exist regardless of the price. Whether a manicure costs $25 or $45, customers should leave with nails that are smoothly filed, free of leftover product, and professionally finished. Those are basic expectations--not luxury extras. I left feeling disappointed, overcharged, and with nails that I could have filed more carefully at home myself. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.

I arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment, but my service didn't begin until about 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I understand that delays can happen, but there was very little communication about the wait. My nail tech was quiet, which I didn't mind at all. However, when I asked questions throughout my appointment, she either didn't respond or didn't acknowledge them, which made the experience feel uncomfortable. I originally wanted acrylic nails, but I was persuaded to get Gel-X instead because I was told they would last longer. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I wasn't planning on leaving a review, but after only one week, several of my nails are already lifting. For a $120 service, I expected much better quality and durability. At this point, they feel comparable to press-on nails. Overall, I'm disappointed because I spent a lot of money expecting a long-lasting, professional set, especially for a special occasion. I hope this feedback helps improve both the customer experience and the quality of the service.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and seated right away. The salon had cute decor, and while it wasn't overly busy, there were still a good number of customers inside. I was short on time, so I just wanted a simple gel manicure and hoped to be in and out. The nail technician who helped me was sweet and nice. I mentioned that I'd been standing outside in the sun waiting to get seated at One Piece Cafe, and she kindly offered me a bottle of water. I chose a bright orange shade that's perfect for summer, and I was finished in about 30 minutes. The salon was clean, and my manicure was done very neatly, which I loved. I paid about $45 plus tip for a basic gel manicure. I usually get acrylics, and that's almost what I pay for a fill at my regular salon. That said, the quality of the work and the excellent service made it worth it, so I really didn't mind. they got me done just in time to head back next door for my table! If I lived closer, I would definitely come back. Thank you, Harmony Nails!

The technician kept pushing different colors and designs, reassuring me to "trust her" instead of following the photo I provided. While we did eventually switch back to my original color choices during a correction process, I was still charged for the adjustment. Beyond the miscommunication , the physical application has some noticeable flaws. The structure of the nails feels a bit warped, and instead of lying flat and flush, they point noticeably straight up.I really appreciate this salon's potential when working with Rick, but this particular visit missed the mark on both communication and technical execution.

All of the nail techs are great! I request for Cici when I want to do cat-eye or more simple gel manicures. If I want more artsy designs, I'll usually request for Ella or Karen. Gel manis are still $45, with full cat-eye adding an additional $15. Hand drawn art design nails may add between $4-6 per nail, depending on the design; while if you're okay with stickers, it may be $2-3/each.
