Well the appointment started out ok but ended up a complete and utter disappointment. Will never ever return. Got a coupon on back of my Safeway receipt for an oil change $39.99 so I called to make sure I didn't need an appointment. Went over one Tuesday afternoon. They said they could fit me in within the hour and it would take another hour to do the oil change. I parked my butt on the chair in the waiting room hoping they would get my vehicle in sooner rather than later but no such luck. It was 5 minutes before the hour before they brought my van into the shop to start. In the meantime, I had a coffee and read on my iPad. They asked if I wanted the air filter changed too and I said Yes. That was the beginning of the end. They said it was coming over from Napa and that was what they were waiting for. And waiting. And waiting. I was getting rather annoyed that the oil change was done but we were still waiting for the stupid air filter. I got on the phone and called Napa myself and they said they didn't have an order for it. Turns out they ordered it from Princess Auto. At this point, I'd had enough and said just put the old one back in and I want to get out of here. Waiting for almost half an hour for nothing was not working for me. I went up to pay and it was over $50. What a crock of shit. They charge $3 just to top off the fluids. Seriously? They should give me the whole damn jug of washer fluid if that's what it costs. It wasn't even low but that's how they make their money. It wasn't worth the time or effort to go here. Took wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long and cost just as much as the quick oil change places. Yes they were very friendly (actually friendly to the point of being sickly sweet and that get annoying after listening to them for 2 1/2 hours) but it's not worth it in the end. Disappointing Experience with Poor Transparency, Inspection, and Safety Oversights My first review was based off excitement and a smooth buying process until ... ... I recently purchased a truck from this dealership, and my experience has been incredibly frustrating. The truck was supposedly subjected to a "full 180-point inspection," covering critical components like the engine, transmission, suspension, and exhaust system. However, shortly after purchase, I noticed significant transmission issues, including harsh shifting, which should have been caught during this inspection. I was later advised that the issue stems from engine oil leaks caused by the VCT solenoid seals, a problem that's well-known with this model. These issues should have been identified before selling me the truck. To make matters worse, I was never informed about the low tire tread (4/32), and now I've been advised I need new tires soon. The dealership should have flagged this during their supposed "full inspection." Additionally, my husband was double-charged $6,000 for an extended warranty on his truck, and it took us weeks to get a hold of anyone at the dealership to resolve the issue. It was an incredibly stressful process that shouldn't have happened. But the most concerning part? His truck also had a loose steering wheel, a safety hazard that almost caused a serious accident on the highway. This issue was never flagged during the supposed inspection either. After hearing about the truck's "thorough inspection," it's hard to believe no one noticed these major safety issues. To add to my frustration, I took my truck to another dealership for maintenance and was informed that I need to consent to a transmission overhaul just to have techs take pictures of the transmission when it's taken apart and send them to the warranty provider for approval of the repair cost. If the repair cost is not approved, I'll still be left with a $1,900 bill just to put the transmission back together. If the overhaul is not approved, I'll face a $10,000 cost for the transmission repair, despite the issue stemming from the VCT solenoid seals, a problem that should have been caught in the inspection. I feel deceived, especially considering the dealership assured us that the trucks had undergone thorough inspections. These problems, especially the safety hazard in my husband's truck and the transmission issue in mine, should have been identified and addressed before selling us these vehicles. We trusted this dealership to be upfront and transparent, but instead, we've been left dealing with costly repairs and severe safety concerns. We bought a 2020 ford explorer from them and have had nothing but issue after issue with the SUV since then. Thanks Brian. I left several messages for Sean with return call but no worries, when you buy a vehicle early in its development you risk some bugs being worked out. Once warranty expires and no recalls, your left holding the bag. Mechanic said engine was victim of the 'eco boom', with a hole blown right thru the block (pic below). Too costly to convert to a 5L, we purchased a low mileage used ecoboost and have our fingers crossed. Mechanic said it's a common problem in early models but if you are religious in maintenance and oil changes and lucky you didn't get a faulty block, some of those early ecoboost's are climbing to mileage of 300k. He sent me a window sticker for an Explorer. The next day I asked him for photos of the interior of an F150 he responded it was his day off but NEVER responded again. please be aware of this service department at cam clark ford in airdrie. first, i booked online for an oil change for my wifes 3.5l v6 suv. their "special" was for a premium oil change service that included tire rotation, starting at $89.95. i expected to pay a little more because of synthetic oil (although i believe most vehicles these days are all synthetic). when i dropped it off they asked if i wanted the tire rotation because the basic oil change (without tire rotation) was $20 less. i opted for the basic and passed on the rotation. about an hour later, i went to get the keys and pay the bill. they charged me $165 for a basic synthetic oil change which is totally absurd. when i questioned them on the high charged they explained that because my vehicle was not from ford they charge more for special oil. i brought in a 2019 chev traverse (nothing special about it). they weren't willing to reduce there over priced service and failed to adequately explain why they were milking me. i received a survey on my phone and explained my dissatisfaction as above. when a service manager text me he said he talked to the staff and further explained to me the packages offered on their website are national and because prices may differ. (like 100% increase differ). i actually called another local dealership and confirmed they only charge $89.95 (plus taxes) for the same oil change i was just reamed for. when i relayed to the service manager he replied they must be getting a good deal on thier oil. its very clear, they are more concerned about getting a positive online review then actually addressing the problem. sorry for this long review but i would strongly recommend you not go here and spend your money elsewhere. read more

I live in Okotok's but found the truck I was looking for (2016 f250 with 13,000km) at Cam Clark in Airdrie. The buying experience was a bit dishonest and was not well handled. I was promised things like chips filled in the windshield, information on the aftermarket air bags, all weather mats at the dealers expense (Cost me $350 somehow) and also told the truck had child seat anchors in the seats (which there are aren't). Went to do the final paper work for the vehicle and was made to wait an hour while the finance guy (Clarence) finished his lunch he had. Nice. I wish the story ended there. After getting home I noticed the spare tire on the truck was down about 3 inches from the frame and just bouncing around. I guess I'll get that. Then about two weeks after having the vehicle I got a call from Cam Clark saying my parts are in. I asked if they had the right number but was informed that the rubber bump stops for my trucks tailgate were missing and were ordered for the vehicle. Wish someone would have told me that. After picking them up from the dealer I couldn't get them to fit and ended up at Ford in Okotok's asking for help. They told me that the stops were not even for that vehicle and I just ended up ordering new ones myself. I figured I was done with the poor service and could move on with my new awesome truck. Fast forward two months and 4000km's later and the real fun starts. Pull out of the garage and found the truck leaking engine oil of the floor. Crap! Back to Cam Clark for them to fix this issue. New upper and lower oil pan gaskets redone. Get the truck back and I'm on my way again. 300-400km's later the truck is running so rough it is shaking the cup in my cup holder. I stopped and checked the oil quick just to be sure. Found transmission fluid had covered the underside of the vehicle and some of the engine compartment. Crap again! New injector and rear transmission seal. Have pretty much lost my confidence in the truck and the dealer at this point. Has to be good by now right? 300km's later truck is running really rough and engine light is on. WTF man! Back to the dealer yet again. I'm now told that it was bad fuel. I guess the fuel at the Aldersyde truck stop must be bad then hey? What a joke. Told the dealer I had no confidence in the vehicle and wasn't about to put my family, dogs and 30 foot trailer on a truck that can't get between oil changes. Dealer told me they would take the truck back at about $1500 less then I bought it for and quoted me list price on a new truck. WOW thanks. Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else. These guys are not about making things right. Even with all this stuff going on, they made me feel like it was my fault. I went to another dealer and was quoted $9000 less for the truck I was quoted at Cam Clark even after this poor experience. I guess unless you want to make a scene on the showroom floor you should expect almost no real customer service. read more

I don't normally go out of my way to make a business look bad however I have had the worst customer service from this dealership. I am a journeyman HD mechanic and have worked a couple dealerships over my career. Do not take your vehicle to cam clark, even if it is warranty work, seems like customer service/satisfaction is the least priority on their list. I took my truck in for warranty work back at the start of august on a monday to have the front bumper replaced. I was told 4 days max, on the 4th day I called as I hadn't heard anything in regards to my truck, I was told it was going in for paint and it should be ready Friday afternoon Monday morning at the latest. Didn't hear anything on the Friday, I call Monday morning; their response oh its just going into paint now. Hmm I wonder, this isn't right, manager calls back 30 mins later oh there was a problem with the paint I wanted it re-done. Fair enough (why do I have to call them to get the info? ) I call again on the following day... is my truck done? Yes you can pick it up around 5 pm. I get there and I have a look and find the spot of repair isn't done properly. (Oh and did I mention I borrowed a vehicle from a family member for the 9 days I was without my truck) I feel they should have offered something to make up for the crap service, I suggest maybe a windshield replacement or a couple services. . Truck goes back in 2 weeks later to get the work re done. Takes 4 days and still zero communication from the body shop, yet again I am the one who has to call to find out if it's done. Skeptical I would be offered anything in order to maintain customer satisfaction when I picked up my truck and I was right. Nothing I make my point to the manager and his response is "I'm not going to win this conversation" " why would I give you a complementary windshield" so I call cam clark himself to extend my complaint. Well it has been almost 7 days since I made my complaint to the owner of the dealership and no one has followed up. Long winded I know but Do not take your vehicle there. I will never put my own money into a dealership that has zero pride in their own name. read more

I was told by my insurance company that this was the only body shop they could guarantee work from. It took them over three months to fix a dent in the hood of the vehicle. I repeatedly phoned the body shop for updates and was first told it was the fault of my insurance company and was then told for two months that they were waiting on parts. I have never had such horrible service before and it has been a huge inconvenience to be without a vehicle for three months in the winter. Would not recommend this dealership or body shop to anybody. read more

When does an oil change cost $280 - when it is done at Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie. This is the second (and last) chance to have my vehicle serviced here. The first time they broke the air intake hose during service which meant I had to leave the vehicle overnight while waiting for the part to be delivered. This time I apparently needed to replace a $149 cabin air filter on a less than two year old vehicle and I needed to replace the windshield wipers that had been replaced just over a year earlier. How rich does Cam Clark need to be that seniors who put their trust in companies get scammed. Someone called it Scam Clark Ford, very fitting indeed. I was also told that there is a small oil leak and I would need to schedule main service to further diagnose the problem. I shiver to think what this could end up costing. Curiously, when I got home I checked the parking pad and there wasn't a drop of oil to be found. Not all Ford dealers are created equal. Before I sold my F150 I had it serviced for over 13 years at Universal Ford in Calgary and could not have been happier. read more
