Located in Camano Commons, this is a pretty solid pastry / bakery to get a morning or lunch fix with some coffee and other drinks. As I had a lunch already, I decided to just try something small here, and the cragel caught my eye. The cragel is like a croissant bagel, and they had either everything or pesto. I opted for pesto because it's a bit more unique compared to the everything bagel seasoning, and it was very flavorful. The cashier told me the pesto is her favorite and that it is more flavorful than the everything cragel, but the everything cragel is more popular. The cragel is quite buttery and soft. A slight miss is that the price is fairly high ($5.25) for something that is not too substantial, and while flavorful, the cragel lacked the crispness / flakiness that you'd expect from a croissant. read more

I wish I had discovered this place a lot sooner! They serve the best almond croissants on the planet! I ordered a 16oz iced raspberry white chocolate latte with oat milk and half the flavor; they nailed it! The line gets long but it goes away quickly. Very friendly service. I love bakeries.... This place has been on my list for a while, but a bit of a drive to get there. It is AMAZING, possibly my favorite in the Seattle area. Take a drive , try the Cragel , live the dream. Great destination for family trip, couples outing or just a lover of fine baked goods. This is as good as it gets. read more

Holy moly I am so happy this place exists! I've been searching for a pastry shop close to home and my prayers have been answered. I'm only upset I hadn't found out about this gem sooner. Everything is baked fresh in house daily and you really can't go wrong with any of their baked goods. Their pesto cragel (croissant bagel, need I say more) is off the charts good, as is their bacon cheddar chive scone - if you can get there early enough to get your hands on it, that is. Their drinks are similarly all made with love and it really shows! Staff are always super friendly which makes it all the better, although truth be told they could treat me like total garbage and I'd still keep coming back for my fix. Try it!!! read more

I shopped at the Camano Pastry Cafe during the middle of the week. It was my birthday so I wanted a nice treat for breakfast. I was hoping hoping for a danish but found they only bake those for the weekends. I purchased a chocolate croissant for my wife and I got a monkey muffin. So what's a monkey muffin, it's made from croissant dough and sugar, cinnamon. I also purchased a coffee which was pretty weak. The cafe is really just a store front where food and drinks can be purchased but there's no place to sit and eat. The croissant tasted good (my wife gave me a bite) while the muffin tasted like disappointment. I would visit the cafe again and try their danishes. If they're as good as the monkey muffin, I'll revisit my rating for this establishment. Better get extra shots for your coffee if you like it strong. read more

Definitely 3 star in my eyes. Customer service 5 out of 10. The girls just asked what I wanted and told me how much I owed, so it was a drab transaction. Pastries are a 6 out of 10. The raspberry shortbread cookie is small for $2. The Mexican wedding cookie was also small and flat for the price you pay. Pictures make these two cookies look a lot bigger than what they really are. I did enjoy the lemon bar, maple pecan scone, and the bacon cheddar chive scone. The raspberry oat scone was very dry and crumbled immediately when I cut a piece to sample. I think the lemon poppyseed scone was more moist, however it could use a wee bit more lemon flavor. I'm kind of bummed because they were out of the ham and cheese croissant. That's what I wanted to try the most, so I'm going to assume that is a popular item! read more

YUMMY!!! We stopped here on our way home from camping and even after reading reviews, I was not prepared for the sensory overload that greeted me from this bakery. The pastries were fresh and beautifully plated/displayed. Maybe it was having been sleeping on the ground with children rolling over me.... But all I could bring myself to order was a mocha (it was wonderful). I had to send my husband in to decide what we would have for breakfast!! We feasted on a beautiful cinnamon loaf. We tried several baked goods from them and liked them all (almond croissant, molasses cookie, pumpkin scone?, lemon poppy scone). Really fresh pastries, high quality. The question mark for the pumpkin scone is because I wasn't sure what the pumpkin pastry really was as my husband ordered it (seemed a little sweet for a scone). It was amazing. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. The pastries are fresh and so close to perfect it's hard to tell the difference. Early in the day they have 50% off day old pastries that still taste fresh. Their almond drink hot chocolate is literally the best. We love the local art work for sale in the gift shop. I'm French like the previous pastry chef but you can tell from the current chef energy creating croissants and the delicious taste of his creation (we tried the chocolate croissant, almond croissant and ham/cheddar croissant) that he loves his job. But the customer service is what makes it 3 stars... we unknowingly walked in 10 minutes before they opened on a Sunday to annoyed and unwelcoming staff. We were not intentionally walking in early, and the door was unlocked, and we were excited for some breakfast and coffee. The man quickly said they were closed and closed their curtain on us. We were apologetic, but I also was taught in the food service industry to treat customers as friends, and I honestly would have handled it differently. Very disappointed. read more

Simply the best! Cookies are top notch, scones are delicious, and chocolate croissants melt in your mouth. The ham and cheese croissants are a meal in themselves, and that's not a drawback. We've loved this place since they opened but the most recent experience has us questioning whether it's worth it. We came towards of the end of the day and there was one other customer in the entire complex. He ordered one pastry and a coffee, plus coffee beans - this had us waiting over 10 minutes while the barista and two other employees were walking around and stocking items. After his drink was made, he realized he could get a free drink after which the barista started going through his options and started making his drink. It was probably close to 12 minutes or more since we came in with him being the only customer in the entire place and we still couldn't put in our order for two pastries. There were multiple employees there who could have completed the quick transaction but milled around instead. Instead of visiting, I think we'll be skipping over in the future. read more

We haven't been out to the Comano Marketplace for a few months and went out this morning. We were surprised to see the marketplace has been remodeled and they added a bakery across the isle from Del Fox Meats. Everything looked amazing a delicious.
