No one got to me but I saw that two girls that came in behind me got seated, and I still waited, I thought to myself "maybe they have apts it's cool I can wait" no one even acknowledged me. I came here for the first time with a friend of mine and we both got acrylics (I got a fill & she got a new full set). The man who did my friends' nails was great; he was talkative, funny, and did an awesome job with her ombré and sparkly nails. He was also very nice when she asked him to slightly change what he had done, even though it was very close to closing time. My nail tech however, was not so great. The actual work itself came out okay, but this part was extremely frustrating: he asked if I wanted my acrylics shorter and I said, VERY specifically, "please make all my nails match my left middle finger, because that is the shortest nail. So do not file that one, only all the others to match it." He nodded as if he understood and proceeded to shorten the ONLY nail I asked him NOT to shorten. I said no no I said do not file that one! And then he said oh okay, and then didn't shorten any of the other nails! So my nails are even more uneven now. I was scared to say anything further because obviously he didn't understand anyway. Also, it appears that they don't use good quality top coat, because mine had marks and spots where it was no longer shiny after only about 3 days. Long story short, I am honestly only giving 4 stars because my friend has a good experience. I personally will not be back. read more

Since I've been working in Camarillo for three years I have not found a great nail salon until I stumbled upon Camarillo nails and spa today. I was attended very quickly, their service was outstanding and clean. Made me feel very comfortable and relaxed here. They cut me or something because they put glue on my toe nail and I asked what and they said it was nothing?? I never get a mani but decided to splurge, went with gel, they didnt even last 3 days. First chip was day two, now a week later and one nail is half way painted. $5 service fee for sanitation? Uh, arent nail salons already supposed to have a sanitation code?? Amazing nail salon! Made an appointment at the last minute and Jennifer got both me and my friend in without any trouble. I wanted to try something new that I had seen in an ad, where it looked like the color was shiny and iridescent, but I didn't know what it was called. Apparently it's called "unicorn" or "chroma," and Nai did exactly what I wanted using Lavender colored gel polish and the topper called unicorn. They look fantastic, even better than the picture I showed her. Super clean facility, great service, and we couldn't be happier. Tiffany did my toe nails with just the lavender, and they look fantastic too. Not to mention the foot massage that came with it was so relaxing and blissful! My friend had Aaron do both her finger nails and toenails, and he was so patient and paid such attention to detail. She had a stroke last year, and sometimes her right side doesn't cooperate or hold still, and he was very patient and gentle, and both her hands and feet came out looking flawless. My daughter and her friend from out of town came for acrylic sets, but they were discouraged from getting what they wanted. First of all they had appointments after closing hours which was strange, and I feel that if you really don't have the time to take someone, then you should be upfront and honest. My daughter and her friend ended sitting there waiting around and they were there a total of 3 hours for only one nail set. We will not be going back, unfortunately businesses should be willing to be upfront not just take advantage and claim to be a good business. read more

Went to my appointment at 1030 to go get my usual dip nails done, I had to wait a extra 15-20 min to wait for my nail tech (tina) to finish her lunch. I then showed her a picture of what I wanted which was a French nail with a pink tip, she said she was able to do it. She then started doing my nails when she finished my nails looked horrible the tip color lines where not straight and done sloppily. I told her that the lines were not straight and she said that it's very hard to do and don't pick that no more. I was shocked, that's her job she should know how to, if she didn't then she should have said that to begin with! I asked for a simple manicure and the finished product was a sloppy manicure with polish on my cuticles, uneven nails and about 5 coats of polish due to the women trying to fix her uneven work. My nails are cut crooked, and she cut me. She cut too deep when trimming the sides. 4 stars because there has been atlease a time or two where I had to wait after my appointment time in the nail salon for 30 mins. Other than those waits, this place is amazing and they will take care of you well they give you good recommendations on nails without ripping you off and they go above and beyond by making sure you are okay and it doesn't feel half assed or look like it. I come here for my nails and for my face waxing and they do a great job. I came in yesterday for a full set of acrylics with gel polish. Before arriving at the nail salon, I called 10 minutes before hand to check pricing. I was told over the phone that a full set with gel polish would be $40 and at the end of my service I was charged $45. Overall, my nails came out decent, but on my left hand, most of my nails were shaped crooked. I most likely will not return.
