I took my daughter here to get a Christmas design she had seen on Pinterest. She had also requested a pedicure, which was started on right away in less than five minutes! Katherine did a spectacular job and was extremely kind. The design was very complex, and she wanted it on her toes too, but Katherine was so patient and made my daughter's nails more beautiful than the picture! We had an amazing experience, and my daughter says "This is the best my nails have ever looked, and 10/10 would visit again!" The salon was beautiful, and was huge compared to others in Camarillo. Very clean, organized, and everyone was so talented. There were beautiful Christmas decorations, amazing holiday vibes, and a playlist of all my daughter's favorite Christmas songs. I went in on Wednesday March 18th for a gel-x manicure. This salon is not my norm as I typically go to Top Nail but decided to give this local salon a chance. As of Thursday March 26th I have lost the thumb nail on my left hand and the nails on my left index finger and left middle finger are lifting and preparing to pop off. If you look at the photos attached, you'll see the nail came off of my finger smoothly, there is no tearing of the natural nail because the nail did not come off from force but from improper application. All the loose nails are on my non dominant hand so it is not from misuse or strain. From the start of the appointment things weren't going well. As she put the nails up to my finger, they felt too wide. When the manicurist, Kelly, was trying to glue the nails on, she was squeezing my fingers so tightly that they hurt and were turning bright red. She tried to cure the nail under the blue light but kept accidentally hitting it with my finger and turning it off. She was going in circles the entire appointment trying to keep the light on and turning it off. When she would finish with a nail she would use her nail to scrape the glue from my nail because since the nail was too wide it was being glued onto my skin. This was my first sign that she is inexperienced. When she finished with my right hand I looked at it and was horrified, two nails were visibly crooked. I said something and she just brushed me off and said that she would file them so they were not crooked. This makes no sense because the base of the nail will still be misaligned no matter how much you file. I expressed my concern again and she again brushed me off. When she got started on my left hand I expressed concern over the fact that the first nail she put on (pinky) was again crooked. She seemed frustrated and TORE THE NAIL OFF MY FINGER AGGRESSIVELY. I won't go into detail with the other concerns, you can see for yourself the unnatural pink, crooked nails, overly thick French tip, etc. To top it all off it took her almost two hours to apply the nails!! I sucked it up that they might not be visually what I wanted, paid, and left. But now that the nails are all lifting and coming off after only having them on for a week I had to write a review and warn others. I have had countless gel-x sets put on at Top Nail and have never encountered such poor technique and application. This was genuinely the worst manicure I have ever received. So disappointed and would NEVER recommend someone visit this salon. I genuinely would've been better with press ons from Target. This was a complete waste of two hours of my time and $75. read more

The detail that goes into each experience is wonderful, and all of the technicians are very customer oriented.. The prices are reasonable and comparable to other salons in the area but the service is best by far, the best I've had in Camarillo. This is my go-to salon! I go every two weeks with my sister for an acrylic fill. Helen is my preferred manicurist, and she does a phenomenal job. Helen listens to what I want. I'm currently trying to grow out my natural nails so we no longer have to do tips with my acrylics. The owner, Lynn, can be a little much, but she built this business from the ground up amid a divorce. Lynn is always so accommodating. Helen was out sick for a few months, and Lynn ensured my appointments were still honored. Alana and Stephanie do wonderful nail art and are always so friendly. I was looking for a specific color the last time I got my nails done, and Helen couldn't find it. Lynn helped her find it and said she keeps some of the colors packed away because she doesn't have the full collection. I'm a GREAT tipper and notice the time, manners, effort it all takes to give a good mani/pedi..... I called to make an appointment one hour before for a gel mani and pedi. When I arrived, the front lady acted like she had no idea I was coming. I stood for a few minutes while the workers seemed to communicated what to do with me. The shop was VERY chaotic even though it was only me and one other customer. Lots of talking amongst the employees throughout the room and phone ringing. I saw an advertisement offering the different types of pedicures they offer, but this was never offered to me. At other salons, I usually like to get the most expensive one- with the extra long foot massage, wax, etc. like I said I like a relaxing nail salon experience... I was given the most basic pedicure. While I was seated, the woman working on my pedi was constantly getting up to answer the phone and helping customers up front. I thought it was kind of gross how she would touch everything and then touch my cuticles, dead skin, etc. When a male worker began to do my nails, he smelled like food and cigarettes. It grossed me out. Not to mention, He did a horrible job. The male and female workers were constantly having personal conversations while working. The massage chair barely did anything. To say the least, it was not a good experience for me. I paid full price with no complaints and even gave a small tip because they genuinely seemed like nice people- and tried to make a few jokes with me- however the service was horrendous. The third and fourth time were done by two different women then the first time..they did ok..it wasn't so bad that it stopped me from coming back..this last time was like the first time I went..the lady did a wonderful job! I went on Sunday. Amanda was super nice. I found their prices to be a touch high. My nails look like they were done by an 8 year old. No top coat, bumps and polish all over my toes. This was a $45 pedicure. The guy J--- was very nice until I made the mistake of trying to explain what I wanted. Then he got kind of rude and had a chip on his shoulder. I took my daughter with me and our bill was $250. I'm really disappointed and hope they offer me a redo. I will be letting them know. I should have listened to the other reviews. My fingernails are super bulky and not natural looking at all. They're thick and wide. He cut me 3 times. The polish isn't even at all. I wish I hadn't tipped him. He did an awful job. My daughter's nails are beautiful however. Not sure if I'll be back. I just moved here and am having trouble finding A good place. Got my nails done here, they didn't last at least one week. Within three days the first nail came off and two days later another one came off. It's been about a week now and I only have two nails left. Went in for a walk in (normally go to Paris Nails) but decided to try something new. The older women in the salon took me to her station and proceeded to mangle my cuticles, both of my pinky fingers have sores. The cuticle cutter was not pulled from a sanitary bag, it was just laying around. She filed my nails and managed to file cuts in the skin above my nails. She didn't clean up the polish around my nails and when everything was done, I asked her for change for a $20 and she gave me my change minus $5 just expecting that's what she deserved. Clean facilities but that's about it. Here are the cons: 1) The guy doing my mani/pedi seemed like he was half assing. When I got home I saw that he just barely did anything to my cuticles. I had a hang nail still visible! 2) When paying he let the lady in front of him leave a tip on her card. When I asked to do the same, as I was next in line, he said no. Um, ok. 3) My finger nail chipped later that day. I didn't clean or go to the pool, I just folded clothes! 4) A week later my gel nails became discolored. I've been on a business trip for the past week so I haven't cleaned and it's too cold on the East Coast so I haven't been in a pool or hot tub. He used gel OPI nail polish and products. My nails are embarrassing and I'm annoyed that I spent money on this mani. My pedi was normal but there was polish on my skin because he hadn't bothered to touch up.
