Currently it's 9:16am and I'm sitting in Bellingham's trendy, hipster, snobby coffee/wine bar. And I love it. The espresso is pulled in doubles, so my quad latte has the right taste ratios without having to pay for astronomical per shot additions. It's the best crema I have seen in months. Or maybe I'm gushing because it is the best crema I've seen in months. I've daringly paired my latte with a pain au chocolat. I won't do that in Seattle because I know I'll be disappointed. The pastry is flaky on the outside and soft in the center. And it's made with dark chocolate so not too sweet. Others have commented on the New York style café. It's also Melbourne. Table service for coffee, pretty place settings, a wider menu than bagels. I'm home. Yes, it is pricey for Bellingham but you're paying for quality. Some may also be annoyed at the fair laptop policy. Not in the main seating area during lunch and after-work peak. There's a casual area at the front for laptops at any time. That's fair. read more

This is a great find and spot in Bellingham. It is a very hipster cafe that serves great coffee and teas that is decorated well for the space. It is simple and modern. I went for brunch and it would be interesting if I would rate it the same for dinner since it seems more of a day time place. Tables turn pretty quick. They were able to accommodate only wanting white meat of chicken for my crispy chicken sandwich and chicken and waffles. I preferred the chicken sandwich with the mama lils over the waffle with a simple salad which was refreshing and paired well. The waffle was made of cornmeal making it a great savory dish. However, I did not enjoy the coffee flavored syrup while the person I shared with enjoyed it. read more

I've had the opportunity to purchase Camber coffee beans a little closer to my home, but visiting the physical location was a treat! I tried their "On a Passing Cloud" seasonal drink which was the perfect balance of coffee, maple and orange as well as their apricot, almond tart - both were absolutely delicious! Seating is all outside at the moment, but popping by to grab a drink and stocking up on some beans is absolutely worth the trip. read more

Quirky cute coffee shop restaurant hybrid. The good: Clean place, good location, interesting concept. The bad: Rude employees, and little to no care or love put into the espresso side I ordered a coffee and a pastry and was given a number. As I stood waiting for my drink I was told I could sit down. I'm not eating a meal and most of the tables were dirty so I choose to stand. Was told again by a second employee I could sit. After explaining that I didn't want to and that none of the tables were clean anyway I got an eye roll. Nice. My iced latte was also room temp even with the ice in it. Guess they didn't have their milk refrigerated. When I asked about it I was told that it was on ice so I snapped a picture. Spoiler alert: The milk was in a sink without ice. Kinda strange. Camber is certainly the hot spot to go-to place, and am glad I finally had the chance to check it out. It has "seat yourself" seating with booths, tables and seating near the windows. Today it was packed and waiting for an open table to snag as someone left. The ambience is nice; fresh flowers on tables, clean, comfortable and a great spot for morning, afternoon or late night. I ordered a vanilla chai latte and the Spanish Sausage Hash; both delicious! The service was so friendly and sweet. The prices are a little high, but they seem to offer a great variety of drinks and eats and definitely will be going back. read more

The ambiance here is impeccable! It's a coffee place, but you can also get pastries, small plates, entrees, beer and wine. I came here for coffee this afternoon. I ordered a cortado and my S.O. ordered a latte. Both had great flavor and were served with the perfect milk heart design in the center. I was intrigued by the different types of pour over coffee they have; the tasting notes sounded delicious and I can't wait to try them! We also ordered a pastry to split which was good. This place has great coffee and an inviting atmosphere. The best part is the beautiful interior design and cute touches like fresh flowers on the tables. Service is good too. I learned about Camber roasted coffee years ago during my stay at Willows-Inn at Lummi Island. On my return trip from BC to Seattle, I was hoping to find a place with good coffee latte (or hot drink) and a fresh, healthier take on breakfast. Camber didn't disappoint. We had Savory Dutch baby, roasted squash toast, latte and golden latte (turmeric ginger latte)...all these were prepared well and delicious. For plain curiosity, I tried their pastries - Danish pastry, cinnamon roll and salted chocolate chip cookie...meh..just your usual "nothing exciting to write home about" pastries...it may be boring but it's ok if your craving for such. I look forward to more Camber coffee lattes and hot breakfast in the future. read more

This place is a great new addition to the coffee, wine, beer and small plate vibe in bellingham! The windows are amazing its completely open very clean and modern looking, something we don't have much of in the ham...i came in the evening for some rose and steamers the rose was 8 dollars i liked that they had 3 options and the steamers were 14 made with bacon, garlic,mint, and mustard seed it was delicious but i think i would of gone for a different herb it just was not pleasant to bite into with the other elements but all in all I enjoyed it I will be back the employees were all on there game and really friendly its definitely worth checking out read more

I was looking for breakfast after a fairly late night out in Bellingham recently. A coffee shop in Tacoma that I frequent had a barista that recommended Camber and to try their waffles. All that sounded very good and so that is what I went with. I probably should have gotten a coffee drink here but when I spotted that they had a London Fog on their drink menu it just was something I couldn't resist. The drink was excellent! It was very flavorful and a dreamy quality to it... not that I needed to be in dreamland anymore for the day despite that very late night but it is what it is. The waffle was fantastic! There was fresh fruit cut and placed on the side of it which just made the whole plate all the more pleasing to eat. I can't say I'll be spending a lot of nights in Bellingham. I usually do day trips up there but either way paying a visit to Camber for either I'm sure would be a pleasing experience either way! read more

GROSS. How I felt after my last visit when I saw three customers, who were all sniffling like they had the flu, sneeze over the olive oil cake that was on display WITH NO SNEEZE GUARD. (See pics) I so wanted to love this place with its quirky look and good coffee but alas there have been other blunders. 110-120 degrees seems to be a hard concept because the first couple times they made me a drink it could melt steel beams. Cold pan au chocolates with sticks of chocolate like it came from Fred Meyer rather than a baker. Always friendly and super nice I hope they fix these growing pains. Bellingham could use less Starbucks and more local places but it's hard to support blatant disregard for food safety. read more

Guys, I love camber. It was a welcomed addition to the Bellingham coffee scene a couple years ago and I'm just not over it. I come almost every Saturday as a treat, and I'm never disappointed. Great service, clean atmosphere, creative fresh local dishes, and it's all unique to the Bellingham scene which in a coffee saturated community is hard to do. My favorite is the "passing on a cloud", maple syrup, oat milk, cinnamon, orange and espresso. One of the best beverages I've ever had, and it's consistent... I always get it! I hope they never take it off the menu. There's an array of pastries as well that look amazing, this morning I had the lemon olive oil cake which is paleo! Side note: not pictured but the chicken and waffles is 100% the best in town. Do yourself a favor, and stop in! You can't go wrong with anything that you get. Coffee in bellingham is not too hard to find, Camber is a great coffee shop overall. However I would have to knock down the rating from a 5 to a 3 mainly because of the price, the drinks itself paired with the atmosphere makes it a nice place to go too but as a daily drinker this may not be the right place. I know being a coffee drinker its ironic to complain about the price but i found it odd that they charged an extra 2.00$ for the cup. Went in during a lull to snag a coffee to go and it took nearly ten minutes for anyone to notice I was standing at the front counter, and another fifteen minutes to get a coffee. Actually ended up throwing out the whole drink after two sips because the milk was burnt and they forgot to add the flavoring I'd asked for. The facility is nice but there's better coffee to be had elsewhere, where they won't ignore you. read more

I was here for one night visiting a friend and she took me here for breakfast & coffee. This place is adorable. It's beautifully decorated with tons of natural light. The tables near the window and where people with laptops go, and then the rest is more of the restaurant. We split the quiche and hash - delicious!! Coffee was excellent (I guess it was voted best in state last year?) and my friend got the chai tea which she loved. Service was fantastic. It took me awhile to come here because it looked too fancy, but it turns out Camber is very pleasant and friendly, not pretentious at all. I ordered a breve with honey, and chose to sit in the very front of the cafe, with a view of Holly St. I grabbed myself a glass of water at the servers station and sat down to await my coffee. The typical customer had a laptop and while it was a little cramped in that front room, I didn't want to sit at a table by myself and pay extra (via tip) for table service from a waiter. The overall experience was excellent: the coffee was expertly made, the other customers were quiet and relaxed, the view of Bellingham from that corner of Bay/Holly Streets is unique, the wifi was plentiful, and the staff was smiley and friendly. I got a good amount of work done on my laptop in 45 minutes at Camber, and left feeling energized by good coffee and relaxed by the ambiance. read more

Major letdown! We visited Camber this evening, having waited and anticipated it all day. We're visiting Bellingham for a long weekend and had heard great things about this place. We planned to hit their 8pm - close happy hour tonight and had saved our appetite for it. On arriving at 8pm, we were greeted by the waitress once we had self seated, letting us know they sent the chefs home for the night because it was quiet (8 tables were occupied at that moment), and therefore no food was being served, only coffee. Wow. This place is either in major financial trouble, or has poor management that they send their chefs home with happy hour around the corner and 8 tables of people! Awful experience, we ended up having to walk half a mile to Rock and Rye Oyster Bar, our second choice and we had a brilliant experience and great happy hour. So save yourself the time and effort, visit Rock and Rye, they'll be open for sure and don't treat their staff poorly by letting them off early on 'quiet' nights. read more

I'm so happy for another restaurant in downtown Bellingham. It's light and beautiful, the simple interior is very attractive. Our server was great! She was attentive but also leaving us to talk. We came early so we got happy hour prices for wine. First of all, I want to say I will go back! Not sure what I'll order off the fall menu. I think I'd probably go for the appetizers. The whole menu looked good. My friend and I ordered the roasted romaine salad. They gave us a knife to cut it. And we needed it. The pieces were so big and clunky. It made it hard to share. She ordered the salmon cakes with a slaw. I ordered the chicken with roasted vegetables. We shared these dishes also. Probably just me, but the salmon had such a strong salmon taste (if this makes sense) My chicken was cooked very well and the Ju was delicious. The roasted vegetables were very good. But I also had a fair amount of burned vegetables. I wish I had that romaine salad knife to help cut my chicken. It was a little hard to cut.
