Asked for has browns crispy and this is what I got. Thanks for listening. They were also 1/4" thick. Nice avacado though.

Three stars is A-Ok. Food was decent portions were slightly below normal especially the hash browns. Asked for them crispy and here's how they showed up. Omelette felt like a two egg omelette. Flavors were fine. Salsa was jar salsa so that's unacceptable. Service was slightly above average. Not sure if it's a cafe or Mexican restaurant given the music playing. Think it's more for the staff than the customers. OJ was fresh but a bit bitter. Chile quiles were not bad. Creekside cafe better as are a few other local places for breakfast.

I love this restaurant. I'm adding another review because they've added some new things to the menu...carne asada being one of them. The expectations were high and were met by the most deliciousness meal. Not only was the carne asada wonderful, the entire meal was over the top including guacamole and homemade tortillas that were so delicious. Also, just an FYI they have a few tables outside that are pet friendly.

Same name, new owners. No more Mexican. Only Middle Eastern: falafels, hummus, etc.

If someone asked me to recommend just one restaurant in Cambria, I'd probably answer before they…read morefinished the question: Medusa's. Now, full disclosure--I might be a little biased because Mexican food is my favorite cuisine. I grew up in Los Angeles, where finding incredible Mexican food isn't a challenge... it's practically a birthright. So when I say Medusa's is the real deal, I don't hand out that compliment lightly. My wife and I almost always order the Molcajete, and it's become our tradition. It's advertised as serving two people, and it absolutely does... assuming one of those people doesn't "accidentally" keep taking just one more bite. It's loaded with flavor, generous portions, and arrives at the table looking like it deserves its own introduction. The biggest surprise on this visit? The tortillas. They were fresh, homemade, and absolutely phenomenal. Maybe they've always made them from scratch and I somehow missed it, but this time they stole the show. They tasted just like the ones my abuelita used to make--warm, soft, and so good they almost made me forget there was an entire Molcajete sitting in front of me. One of my favorite things about Medusa's is that it's family-run, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like you're more than just another table. That kind of hospitality is getting harder to find, and it makes the meal even better. I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, and Medusa's has earned a permanent spot near the top of my list. If you're in Cambria and craving authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop here. Just one piece of advice: don't fill up on the chips... no matter how much your stomach insists it's a great idea. Your future self will thank you when the Molcajete arrives.

We were politely asked to leave. No fault of the restaurant whatsoever--it was just one of those surreal moments that perfectly captured the beginning of that crazy chapter in history. Fast forward six years... We randomly picked this place for dinner and, as soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other and said, "Wait... haven't we been here before?" Then it hit us. This was that restaurant. Apparently, we had unfinished business. This time, the universe finally let us eat. I ordered the Ortega burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the patty melt with onion rings, and we took an order of linguini home for later. Every single bite was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the six-year wait. The service was just as impressive. Karina was our waitress, and she was attentive, friendly, charming, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. (2 ) available 4- top tables open, but a party of 6 was told 30 minute wait. They declined and left. - A person came in asking for take out only to be told they were "inundated and not taking take out orders at this time." So far this is a management issue - these ladies were giving and needed 1 more server to keep them caught up- lots of business waking out the door due to poor scheduling- what a shame. One person behind the bar and 2 dining room servers would make this successful. It's too easy. - Food came out in a timely manner. Gary's pasta - 10/10 Clam chowder - 10/10 definitely homemade. My wedge- a little pricey but 8/10 only because the dressing came out clearly of a jar and no blue cheese crumbles. (Little things make a huge difference) - Moscow Marlin drink 10/10 - Another walk out. Lots of empty glasses at the bar. Would we come back? Only with these 2 servers. ( I think we got lucky) Definitely not on a Friday and If it's this much of a mess on a Friday, I can only imagine what a Saturday would look like. Cute place with amazing clam chowder and pasta.

And the onion rings were pretty boring. I don't think they make them there, I am not sure about that, though. But they had kind of a generic look and feel to them, but the problem was they had zero flavor. Like nobody put salt on them when they took them out of the fryer. That's the first thing you do when you pull something out of a fryer, you season it. The server was nice enough, but they have a thing now where if you ask for water, they want to sell you a bottle of water. I get that things are tough for restaurants, but I almost rather pay a little more for the sandwich and get water, if you know what I mean. I'm no food expert, or running a restaurant expert, these are just my reactions as a local who stops in here fairly regularly. I think if the folks who run this place feel like there's any value to my little thoughts, they would be easy to fix and wouldn't cost anything at all really. I've been coming here for years, and I want these folks to do well.
