[[HIGHLIGHT]]the place is spacious and ambiance is great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]they have seats indoor and also outdoor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] order in person and they let you know your order number and will be called again when foods are ready. the foods that we ordered such as: fish and chips, tacos, burger with bacon, and onion rings were just ok. this restaurant is in a great area that after finish eating, you can just walking around and seeing some stores around...

Descent food that you come to expect at a grill based restaurant. We ordered the Monster Burger, Tri tip sandwich and Asian Salad and fries. Portions were large and everything was satisfying. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wait time was minimal, with plenty of seating inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Popular place, especially for families.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fair number of TV's to watch sports and good food at reasonable prices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were busy but I got my order placed and filled in just a few minutes. They are a counter order call number type of place. It was a good burger and they customized it just as I asked. Tri-tip sandwich is thick and the roll is toasted. Not a smoked flavor but a good amount of meat made the price seem OK. Monster burger was thick and tasted great. Recommend for an easy meal that satisfies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a family friendly environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the outdoor seating and dog friendly vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My salad was priced with lots of pine nuts. The fries were just as we all remembered, hot, crispy and seasoned with something addictive! What we were really disappointed in was the tri-tip. Not much flavor and lots of fat/gristle. The pulled pork was a generous portion. Staff at the register were friendly and the food came out quick!

Went in downtown Cambria you cannot leave without trying some of the best barbecue this laid-back Beachtown offers. Walk up and order, pay & then wait for your number to be called. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is ample seating on their outdoor patio, which is dog friendly or inside which has a casual sports bar vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are also great beers on tap along with Wine , sodas & iced tea. We were torn as they have some great sounding BBQ options & salads on their menu... for us it came down to the Tri Tip Sammy vs. The Pig , which is a monstrous mound of tender pulled barbecued pork on a delicious French roll slathered with their tangy barbecue sauce. It's served with a basic coleslaw . Its also massive, so two can definitely share this. Of course we also had to order a side of their Delish seasoned crispy fries and enjoyed dipping those in their ranch dressing. Washed it all down with a delicious crisp and cold hoppy IPA. Yum!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot for a casual bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ABC burger was Delicious, fries were seasoned perfectly but that BBQ sauce for the Ribs is my Favorite.

How have I been going to Main Street Grill for over 15 years and have yet to write a review for this classic spot? Anyways, the best thing about this casual spot is how consistent it is. Most of the flavors and food tastes the same as it did when I started going here as a kid after long days on the beach in San Simeon. I am local to the Fresno area so this joint is the sister restaurant to Dog House Grill in Fresno and Firestone Grill in San Luis Obispo. This place is excels due to its fast service, cheap eats, and massive portions. Dollar for dollar, I don't think you will find a cheaper place to grab lunch or dinner on the central coast with food that is always hot and yummy. A meal for two people was less than $25 dollars. Hard to beat in this location! The menu is pretty concise but has a little something for everyone. I had the cheeseburger and a side of fries and my order was ready in less than 5 minutes of ordering. The burger was thick, juicy, and had the right ratio of meat to veggie toppings. The fries are a classic thin cut fry that are best enjoyed within the first 10-15 minutes of sitting down. All of the food I have ordered here over the years has been quality and enjoyable. At my latest visit, the one thing I did not enjoy was the coleslaw. It was way to salty and the cabbage was oversaturated with a dressing that didn't taste to great. The texture was soggy and it did not taste fresh. I wouldn't order it again on my next visit personally. All in all, this will continue to be a staple for me on each visit I make to the coast. I frequent the area at least 4 times a year and always make it a point to grab one of my meals at Mainstreet. Keep up the great work! You are a household classic/tradition for my family!

The tri tip sandwich is great! Full of meat.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice casual spot with good food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommended the tri tip sandwich. Onion rings were a little greasy but still good.

Overall: delicious sandwich, just wish it didn't come with such a premium price tag. If you're craving tri-tip and don't mind spending a bit extra, it's definitely worth trying.

1/3 Lb. Cheeseburger and side of onion rings. Delicious!

I haven't been here in years! But I was craving a Burger and onion rings...definitely one of the best burgers I've had in a long time! The ingredients were fresh and had a nice layer of crunchy lettuce and onions. The onion rings were cooked to perfection. Great prices still exist here. The food was served hot and made to order. The wait was rather quick and we had great service.

So just FYI for those new visitors to Cambria a lot of restaurants close at 3 after lunch and reopen at 5:30 for dinner. We were unaware but this restaurant was open and it looked busy. The service was quick and efficient . You place your order at the register and they call your number once it's ready. We didn't wait longer than 10 minutes. Everything was fresh. My husband ordered clam chowder in a cup and we shared a fish and chips. The fish was fresh but lacking seasoning. The clam chowder was decent and the fries were very good. Well seasoned. My son order the ribs and those were good too if you like a little smokey taste. Overall good place to grab something quick and fresh.

Ask the Community - Main Street Grill

Are dogs allowed on your patio?

Well, I've SEEN dogs on the patio. But I don't know if that's official policy.

Will you be open on Thanksgiving? If so, hours and same menu & service as always?

Why was I charged $15.00 for a Main Street salad when menu says $9.99? It's too late to inquire about it and I wasn't the one who picked it up. Did prices go up?

$9.99 is the price for the small salad. If you were charged $15, you were given a large/regular. Some cashiers will not ask which size you want and just put it in as a large or "regular" size. (i know this reply is extremely late, i'm sorry😭)

We ordered the beef tenderloin tips, signature chicken pot pie, ollalieberry burger, and braised beef stroganoff. We especially enjoyed the beef tenderloin tips and the burger. The burger patty had a mild gamey flavor which I think is due to the cow being grass-fed (correct me if I'm wrong). Staff were also very friendly. The owner himself came out to talk to us. I don't like giving negative feedback, in fact this may be my only bad review written to date -…read more but I feel customer service is important & had been genuinely excited to try the food here. Seeing that there was a Patio and that everywhere I had been up to that point, including our hotel, had allowed dogs, I walked over with my tiny pup in his little carry bag. When we arrived, I saw that the patio was enclosed, so I realized I might have to take my pup back to the hotel, but then saw an open air spot with tables and chairs in the parking lot. I would have been willing to sit there and order, so my companion went to ask if that was possible, but was given a very quick and rude "we're not pet friendly", which I was an attitude I was already catching on to as I walked closer and saw unnecessarily large "no pets" signs. I was offended, not for the policy, but because I was already starting to see that was the case & it would have been so easy just to say it gently or nicely & acknowledge that our inquiry was no longer about coming into the restaurant or patio at all. That response made the difference between us taking the doggo back to the hotel room to return for dinner or writing a negative review apparently, because it felt condescending and no food experience is worth feeling unwelcome - especially when every place surrounding the area was completely pet friendly. They are located on a beach, but that day with not-so-relaxed vibes when a simple redirect would have been perfectly fine. I'm a pet person, and it's ok if that's not something you accommodate, I completely understand (especially, sadly, because some pet owners are not responsible, and their pets act like animals and not necessarily family members) - but there's no excuse for being rude when your entire job is service. You're in a beach spot where people come to relax with the people (or animal companions) they love most, no need to have an unfortunate attitude. :( Sorry restaurant/ chef/ other staff, I really would have liked to try the food. P.S. Dog-friendly places can happily have all my money, cheers to patio dining in (most of) California.

Fast forward six years... We randomly picked this place for dinner and, as soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other and said, "Wait... haven't we been here before?" Then it hit us. This was that restaurant. Apparently, we had unfinished business. This time, the universe finally let us eat. I ordered the Ortega burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the patty melt with onion rings, and we took an order of linguini home for later. Every single bite was fantastic. Kept our waters full and checked on us several times during our visit. Let's get down to it. The moment that counts. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. They were FANTASTIC. They were stuffed with a feta type cheese and were absolutely delish! My main dish wass the Filet Mignon. I ordered it medium. It came with veggies and mashed potatoes. When the steak showed up it looked good and I cut into the steak. It was done to perfection. It had some kind of JD whiskey sauce on it. I took a bite and it was awesome. SO much flavor.
