Had lunch at this quirky spot! This spot has cool and interesting decor along with some great music (not too loud). Service was attentive and friendly as soon as we walked in. We ordered a couple of local beers, a bowl of clam chowder, and the west end burger. Everything was pretty good. The clam chowder was thick and tasty with some good chunks of clam but made me very bloated a few hours later.

Service was very good. My husband got a French Dip. It was good but a little skimpy on the meat. I had blackened shrimp taco's. They really weren't blackened. Although they looked good the shrimp really didn't have any flavor. The sauce on the side was spicy though. Cute pub atmosphere. Nice lighting. Food was good. Service good.

Loved this place. The owner/ bartender was so sweet. This was one of the best clam chowder I have ever tasted. Definitely delicious

Stopped in for a hazy IPA and the Halibut Fish N Chips. Not your regular beer battered F & C these were lightly breaded and fried. They were cooked perfectly, huge chunks of fresh Halibut...Man I've been craving them since we left. Service is friendly, looked like a cool local hangout (comfortable) located on main street-Cambria Definitely a must try

The food staff and location were excellent. The restaurant has enough seating inside and I love the bar feel to it. The staff is 10/10 so attentive and kind. I wanted to order something off the menu and they said if they have the ingredients they will make it for me! So I ordered the linguine Alfredo with a rib eye steak. We also ordered the coconut fried shrimp, clams, a halibut and sweet potatoes. They were so good! We also ordered beer. I'm a huge sour beer fan but they didn't have any and suggested another lighter beer and it was really good.

What happened? New owners? Staff? It was a WED night and they were busy and only one person serving. She tried but man a room full of people and the wait time was too long. The food: I had the clam chowder in the bread bowl. The bread was soft, and not baked. The last time I had it, the bread was crispy and buttered, and it tasted amazing. This time it was not so good. The clam chowder itself was average and OK. She had the fish and chips. The fish was overcooked and super salty and the fries were old and not as tasty. We were both really disappointed because the last time we were here this place was amazing. The service was on the spot. Not sure what happened and if they are new owners, but it definitely shows.

We stopped into West End during our day trip to relax and have a drink. The bar is definitely a local's favorite and is super cozy. The service was just ok but didn't expect much for a dive bar. Definitely a good spot to relax in the area and also has a restroom for customers only.

We are visiting Cambria and needed a place to eat lunch. Loved this place. Waitress was very attentive and nice, not one of those who seems to not like her job. My husband had a fish sandwich and I had the chicken tenders and fries, tasted good! Ambiance was great. Surfboards hanging and all sorts of things on the walls that make a place interesting. We enjoyed ourselves and thank you for the great service and food! If you're ever in Cambria, try the Westend Bar & Grill!

We stopped in for lunch and found the food surprisingly good. The waitress was very sweet and attentive, handling the tables by herself. It's an older looking establishment. Hubby really liked his chicken sandwich. I tried the and fries. The fries were so crispy and delish and not greasy-oily. The cup of chowder was good but pretty standard. They did mess up on Hubby's order as he asked for potato salad with his sandwich and got Cole slaw but he decided to eat the Cole slaw instead and said it was good. They only serve bottled water which is weird, where you end up buying one of their Coke products if you don't want bottled water. There is a refill on the soda tho.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on a motorcycle trip up the 1. Second time in Cambria and we very happy we stopped. Bigger on the inside than it looks from outside. Their beer list was great! They have Pliny on draft. We got some clam chowder which was very good wings come naked which is how they should always come. And you can dip into whatever sauce the table wants. Home made potato chips. Halibut and chips. Give it all a shot! Nicest lady was running the joint. Had a spunky attitude and you could tell she cared. Give this place a shot when you're rolling through. We will be back.

West End Bar & Grill was amazing. The owner and staff made us feel right at home, and the food was delicious! You can tell it's made with love. Also... the margarita was unreal! Can't wait to visit again.

Solid place for dinner! Super friendly waitress who was handling the entire floor! Ruben was tasty as was the pasta. Fish tacos hit the spot and the salmon sandwich was unique and flavorful. Recommend!

We enjoyed cocktails in the parking lot and met some nice people visiting from Evergreen, CO. We love the atmosphere when you first arrive, with all of the chefs prepped in anticipation of the bustle of the first patrons arriving. We split the Rockefeller for a starter. It went great with the Markham Sauv Blanc!! We had the shrimp scampi over pasta--so ridiculously good, it should be illegal. We also had the sea bass which was tasty. The potatoes on the side are perfectly done every time. I would say a 4pm arrival is probably the right time to get in line. Worth the wait!!

Not worth the hype…read more We went to Sea Chest Oyster Bar last night. Honestly, it was extremely disappointing. The food was lackluster and bland. The Clam Chowder tasted like flour and needed salt. The Soy Ginger Mahi Mahi was presented with the Soy Ginger sauce on the side, rather than being cooked in. It was so bland you had to search for the flavor of the sauce. I'm not sure how a dish with soy needed more salt, but it certainly did. Rather than it being a reduction or the fish actually cooked in it, it was just flavorless. And don't get me started on my Halibut. All of the fish is cooked in butter, which should give it some flavor, but it did not. We are usually plate-cleaners, but we both ate only about half of our meal. Lackluster, boring, bland. I would say it was a one-note flavor, but you'd have to have some flavor for that to be true. The only positive I have about the fish is that it was fresh, so I guess there's something. The service was fine. I can imagine what it's like to have an entire restaurant sat at the same time, so there should be some forgiveness there. But for $200 for two people for one appetizer, two entrees, and three glasses of wine, I would expect to be able to get through the meal.
