    Cambrian omelet with hashbrowns.
    Melissa H.

We stumbled upon this place while hunting for somewhere open for breakfast on a weekday morning, and it turned out to be a nice find! Our server was very friendly and the food was solid. I especially liked that my Cambrian omelet had large chile pieces and that the salsa actually had a bit of a kick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The long, covered patio above street level was also perfect with our husky.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We would come again.

Needed a little food after a Hearst Castle tour but before dinner reservations and found this cute spot in town on Yelp. Hard to not try a place that had mimosa in the name. The gentleman who seated us was also serving the whole dining room and he was so nice and attentive. We quickly figured out the giant mimosas were the best deal so we ordered one for each of us. My spouse had the classic orange while I tried the ruby red grapefruit. Highly recommend, each giant holds an entire bottle of champagne. To go with our booze, we decided to split a plate of shrimp and fries since we knew we were having a big dinner later that evening. Standard fried food but nicely done, plus the fried were that double crispy style that's always yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only downside was the complete lack of cell service, but that was all of Cambria, not just the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall a great spot for a casual meal and a huge mimosa.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Cup of clam chowder. Very tasty.

We've eaten breakfast here several times. This is our first visit for lunch. I'm opting for the fish and chips. The hubby is having a cheeseburger with a side salad. The people who work here are always friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute decor inside. Kind of western/cowboy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The battered cod is soooo good. I didn't care for the fries. They're the battered kind. Large serving, too. The hubby said his cheeseburger was good. His side salad was huge!

I came after a day of visiting the Hearst castle so I was craving something similar and we stumbled upon this restaurant. The big mimosa caught our attention lol. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was chill, the servers were nice, the music was so y2k.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd go again for the tuna melt cause I actually enjoyed it.

The coconut shrimp was good. Didn't taste frozen. Also ordered green chili chilaquiles. They nice and crispy and flavorful. Service was taking some time. I informed them that it was my friend's birthday, so was thinking maybe that's why. But they didn't say happy birthday or anything. So that was a bummer. Was the reason we went to a restaurant.

This location is ideally situated just 10 minutes from San Simeon, making it a very convenient stop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The surrounding area feels lively and full of energy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]While I struggled with a bit of a language barrier during service, I really appreciated that another team member stepped in to ensure our order was communicated clearly.Regarding the meal, the portions are slightly less than generous for a $28 price point. The flavor profile is notably bold with a very intense, peppery heat. There is a great opportunity to balance this spiciness while elevating the overall ingredient quality to better match the premium cost.

    French Toast breakfast.
    Ralph M.

We decided to have breakfast here today after our local friends told us of their pleasant recent breakfast experience. My wife had the French Toast and I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with two eggs and sausage. We were both completely satisfied with our choices and we enjoyed a nice New Year's Eve breakfast. The French Toasts were made with cinnamon swirl bread which was a plus. The biscuits and gravy were done well and the eggs were fresh. The service was excellent and Karina was very attentive and helpful. We were seated promptly when we arrived and attended to without any delay. The restaurant is very clean and neat. Definitely a nice place for a good breakfast. We will give it a try for lunch soon.

Quaint restaurant right off Main Street in Cambria! Husband & I were looking for a lunch spot and were just driving around and this restaurant stood out. The interior was cozy with wooden tables. We were greeted and were seated quickly and waitress put our order in right away. I ordered the club sandwich and fries and a sherry temple. The portion was very generous and I took leftovers! The French fries were perfectly crispy! Definitely will be back when we are in the area! Thank you for a great lunch and start to our anniversary weekend!

We really enjoyed breakfast here. Arrived closer to noon but they were still serving breakfast. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Quick and friendly staff will definitely be back.

The service is very good and the food is mediocre. The mimosas are watered down in lots of ice.

We ordered the beef tenderloin tips, signature chicken pot pie, ollalieberry burger, and braised beef stroganoff. We especially enjoyed the beef tenderloin tips and the burger. The burger patty had a mild gamey flavor which I think is due to the cow being grass-fed (correct me if I'm wrong). Staff were also very friendly. The owner himself came out to talk to us. The restaurant is located in a quaint, picturesque town. We enjoyed walking around to see the other shops afterward. The parking lot was small but we were able to find parking. We got there on a Monday around 2PM and waited about 5-10 minutes to be seated.

In a world where restaurants and coffee shops can be wildly inconsistent, this place just keeps showing up and doing what it does best. My go-to is always the Baja Mocha. At this point, it's less of a coffee order and more of a long-term relationship. It's rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Every time I tell myself I should try something different, the Baja Mocha gives me that "Don't be ridiculous" look, and I happily order it again. A visit also isn't complete without grabbing a pound of whole beans to take home. That way, I can continue pretending my kitchen is a quaint little coffee shop instead of just... my kitchen. The café itself has a ton of character. It's on the cozy side, which means it can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. If you're looking for acres of seating and total silence, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for exceptional coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that feels like a true local favorite, you'll understand why people keep coming back. The staff is always entertaining in the best possible way. They're friendly, have personality, and somehow manage to keep things moving even when the place is buzzing. It's the kind of coffee shop where the people behind the counter seem like they're genuinely enjoying themselves, and that energy rubs off on everyone else. If you're passing through Cambria or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just don't blame me when the Baja Mocha becomes your default order too. I tried branching out once... the Baja Mocha and I worked through it.

The service was not very efficient with the crowd. The barista asked many questions (decaf or regular, oat milk, whole milk, 2%, almond milk, which coffee bean, etc.), which made the line move very slowly. She also had to stop taking orders halfway to make drinks, making the long line to get even longer. There wasn't enough seating, so we decided to take our food to go. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back.

Now, full disclosure--I might be a little biased because Mexican food is my favorite cuisine. I grew up in Los Angeles, where finding incredible Mexican food isn't a challenge... it's practically a birthright. So when I say Medusa's is the real deal, I don't hand out that compliment lightly. My wife and I almost always order the Molcajete, and it's become our tradition. It's advertised as serving two people, and it absolutely does... assuming one of those people doesn't "accidentally" keep taking just one more bite. It's loaded with flavor, generous portions, and arrives at the table looking like it deserves its own introduction. The biggest surprise on this visit? The tortillas. They were fresh, homemade, and absolutely phenomenal. Maybe they've always made them from scratch and I somehow missed it, but this time they stole the show. They tasted just like the ones my abuelita used to make--warm, soft, and so good they almost made me forget there was an entire Molcajete sitting in front of me. One of my favorite things about Medusa's is that it's family-run, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like you're more than just another table. That kind of hospitality is getting harder to find, and it makes the meal even better. I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, and Medusa's has earned a permanent spot near the top of my list. If you're in Cambria and craving authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop here. Just one piece of advice: don't fill up on the chips... no matter how much your stomach insists it's a great idea. Your future self will thank you when the Molcajete arrives.
