Back in 2020, my wife and I tried to eat here, but fate (and COVID) had other plans. Our drinks had just been served, our food hadn't arrived yet, and suddenly local law enforcement walked in and announced everything was shutting down due to COVID. We were politely asked to leave. No fault of the restaurant whatsoever--it was just one of those surreal moments that perfectly captured the beginning of that crazy chapter in history. Fast forward six years... We randomly picked this place for dinner and, as soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other and said, "Wait... haven't we been here before?" Then it hit us. This was that restaurant. Apparently, we had unfinished business. This time, the universe finally let us eat. I ordered the Ortega burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the patty melt with onion rings, and we took an order of linguini home for later. Every single bite was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the six-year wait. The service was just as impressive. Karina was our waitress, and she was attentive, friendly, charming, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. And if you decide to eat here, there's a very good chance you'll get your food much sooner than we did... only six years ahead of schedule. read more

Cambria Mimosas has reliably tasty breakfast. We went here both mornings on our weekend Hearst Castle / Cambria trip and were not disappointed. It's very much a local diner and many locals seem to go here as well. Service was good and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. It is a Mexican restaurant but the theme of the place is rustic ranch if that's even a thing. Still country style and quite enjoyable. Would return on a future trip. Four solid stars! read more

Needed a little food after a Hearst Castle tour but before dinner reservations and found this cute spot in town on Yelp. Hard to not try a place that had mimosa in the name. The gentleman who seated us was also serving the whole dining room and he was so nice and attentive. We quickly figured out the giant mimosas were the best deal so we ordered one for each of us. My spouse had the classic orange while I tried the ruby red grapefruit. Highly recommend, each giant holds an entire bottle of champagne. To go with our booze, we decided to split a plate of shrimp and fries since we knew we were having a big dinner later that evening. Standard fried food but nicely done, plus the fried were that double crispy style that's always yummy. This review is only for dinner service. Their brunch/breakfast still rocks. The house made clam chowder was not worth the taste. I would rather buy a product that out my name on it. Same for the seafood platter...a bunch of breaded seafood but the cook was a hard over cooked...blackened not browned. Service was fine...but the servers recommended the spicy linguini...several tables were eating pasta...maybe that was the call...pasta dinners not fried...oh well, there is always next time. read more

We decided to have breakfast here today after our local friends told us of their pleasant recent breakfast experience. My wife had the French Toast and I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with two eggs and sausage. We were both completely satisfied with our choices and we enjoyed a nice New Year's Eve breakfast. The French Toasts were made with cinnamon swirl bread which was a plus. The biscuits and gravy were done well and the eggs were fresh. The service was excellent and Karina was very attentive and helpful. We were seated promptly when we arrived and attended to without any delay. The restaurant is very clean and neat. I don't think I've ever left a bad review but the experience here was so bad I have to say something. The waiter was very unpleasant, just the energy was rude. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was terrible. The gravy was watery and the whole plate was wet. The taste was blah. The seafood pasta was better but for $80 total is infuriating. Yuck. I've been here two other times visiting Cambria for breakfast and it was good. Not sure what happened to this place but NOT worth the money. Go elsewhere read more

We were walking on Main St. looking for breakfast before leaving town and this place looked interesting so we looked at the outdoor menu and decided to try it. I had the waffle with fruit which was really good. One of our group really enjoyed the vegetarian omelette and two others liked their egg dishes. We were seated quickly and Martel was a good server, taking care and making sure that anything requested like no dairy or dressing on the side was taken care of. Quaint restaurant right off Main Street in Cambria! Husband & I were looking for a lunch spot and were just driving around and this restaurant stood out. The interior was cozy with wooden tables. There was a lot of variety on the menu including a full breakfast menu. They have mixed drinks but they are made with wine. I ordered the pastrami sandwich (upgraded to onion rings for $2.95) and my husband ordered the fish and chips. The pastrami was fried (extremely over cooked) and had grilled onions and melted mozzarella. I didn't care for the sandwich but the onion rings were very good. We stay in Cambria frequently, and Cambria Mimosas is our go-to spot--sometimes we even eat here multiple times a day! The food is consistently fantastic, and the staff is incredibly sweet and attentive. Today, I kept it light with a wonderful side salad topped with a scoop of tuna, alongside the Captain Platter. The platter is a massive, perfectly fried bevy of seafood with incredibly generous portions. Over past visits, I've had the salmon salad, fish and chips, and several other entrees, and I have never once been disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is simply decorated, which just adds to its local charm, and the large outdoor deck has plenty of room for our dog to relax with us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oh, and if you're a fan of mimosas, you are in for a treat--their signature mimosa is so delightfully massive it literally comes in its own highchair! We're staying in Cambria for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Drove up Main Street and the only restaurant we spotted open was Cambria Mimosas. Lots of parking a available in the back. Really cute restaurant with a wrap around porch. We were greeted immediately and sat. Service was excellent, checking on us regularly and refilling our coffees. My son had the two pancakes, scratches, and ham steak. It came on two plates because there was so much food! Fresh eggs, nice slice of ham and fluffy pancakes!
