She showed us a number of beds, but what is rare these days, she listened to the feedback we provided and guided us to the perfect bed for us. We placed the order and waited for delivery. About a week later the delivery guys arrived. The took the old mattress and boxspring away and installed the new bed. It looks spectacular! Daniella was able to include sheets (2 different colors) and an extra pillow. There was no haggling and the whole interaction with Daniella was very easy. Mathis brothers overall did great, but Daniella stood out for her commitment to make my wife and I happy with the process from finding the right bed through to getting sitting in our master bedroom.

From the beginning I spoke to the talented designer Manuela regarding envisioning a bag style bride bouquet. She made one of silk and a centerpiece for my engagement shoot which is my wedding keepsake now since it's never going to wilt. So happy we made the decision for the silk bag as we used it for my wedding party/photoshoot and didn't have to worry about it wilting. We placed an order for the wedding ceremony for both our families so we had ordered about 9-10 boutonnières for the gentlemen and 6 corsage wristlets for the ladies which looked beautiful! I absolutely loved my fresh flower bride bouquet for the ceremony. It was vibrant and everything I envisioned. For the wedding party we did over 10 bud vase centerpieces which unfortunately had to be switched out into large mugs since the weather was super windy but even with the last minute changes everything looked beautiful. I personally love tulips so I was so glad that she included them in the centerpieces. We got to reuse our engagement silk pieces as well for our wedding party in the photo backdrop area which was the perfect touch. As a date lover, I had to try (and compare) it to that other famous place by Morongo and I will say that the Shield's date shake is thicker and more date-intense! They also had date ice cream which I will have to try the next time. I found the shop to be charming with lots of old school toys, jewelry, kitchen accessories and, of course, dates! There are many varieties sold here, including Mr. Shield's exclusive "blonde" and "brunette". There's date sugar, date crystals, syrup, jam, rubs, honey and pancake mix! I was tempted to go crazy! The theater is at the back of the shop and it is flat out old school charming. Alas, no air con. The history of this special place plays on a continuous loop and is about 15 minutes. Well worth it for the history and to appreciate how labor intensive date farming is! Fascinating. The items are all a bit pricey. There is a cash price and a credit card price on each item and everything is clearly marked. I don't mind supporting a family business and, anyway, they had me at, "date shake." Unfortunately, it was a hot June day, 110 degrees, so I didn't venture outside. If it's cooler next time, I'll definitely wander around... I will be back!
