The dealership is under construction don't know if it affects the way things are run. The services my vehicle needed were done and it got taken care of no issues there. My service advisor was great. The service at pick up could be better. I waited about 40 minutes for my car and left without my car. They couldn't locate it, then they did but told me it was blocked. I explained to them I had to get going and there was no sense of urgency. I left the dealership without my car, as I had somewhere I needed to get to. I will have to come back and get it. While I was there I overheard the lot attendant and an advisor trying to locate keys and a vehicle. (Could have been another vehicle.) wish I didn't even have to give one star. This is the worst service experience I have ever encountered. I'm going through legal action after this. June 26, 2024 3 rental cars later.... I am one who has been affected by the dealer hack and there is no eta when I will get my car back. Not even a year after having my car, I had battery issues. It is still under warranty, thank goodness. I was trying to address it in October of 2023 and then had issues on multiple occasions with the hybrid battery system. Needless to say, on June 17th, I decided I wouldn't reset the battery and had my car towed in this awful heat (in a sketchy area off the freeway). After almost 6 weeks later, I still do not have Rhapsody back. I love my hybrid Elantra but I am super disappointed that Hyundai made a bad batch of batteries and I am one of many who have been affected. I am was given a loaner car though I am now on my 3rd one. I now drive more for my job. 8 don't have great gas mileage. I was given a new 24 Elantra (not a hybrid) and the gas mileage was not as good. When I hit 3000 miles (which was about 1400 miles I had driven, I had to trade it in. The Wednesday after I was given another car so they didn't worry about mileage. After driving it I received a red 24 Elantra. After driving it I received a message about it needing servicing for an oil change. My hope was just that the car was not reset. After verifying what the dealership, I learned today that it needed to be serviced. I am now on rental car #3. It's a puke green Kia Soltera, a mini SUV. My gas mileage is even less, 28 city 34 highway. I miss Rhapsody and her 50 city, 58 highway mileage. Needless to say, I don't know when I will have her back. My understanding is that there is another customer like me who has had a rental car for a year already . August 17, 2024 Following my car journey, Monday will be 9 weeks without her. I have filed a lemon law/arbitration with the BBB auto line. I am now reaching out to the Hyundai USA company and filing a claim. September 3, 2024 11 weeks and one day... My car is supposedly ready for pick up finally. I will pick up tomorrow. I've filed arbitration, with BBB and Hyundai of America. September 4th, 2024 I still have the rental vehicle for one more day because I had put in a request for the mirror cover and made a claim for an extra key fob. None of that got done and they told me it was because of the amount of time that it took to get everything else done. I am pretty sure that Hyundai just forgot about it. September 5th 2024 Good thing I called to make sure I didn't show up to be inconvenienced to learn my car is still not ready. Screw you Hyundai! My car is not ready, 11.5 weeks and an extra day after I was told it would be ready yesterday. Not only does this dealership suck, but the Hyundai company all together has NO customer service. I was supposed to receive a call back from customer claims today. They couldn't even do that. Worst customer service experience I have ever had! I'm putting this on there for those of you who were ever thinking of purchasing a Hyundai from this dealer or from anyone. Don't waste your time with this awful company and their awful products. Once you are there, they will ambush you and try to sell you something you don't even want. Most unethical sales group. I inquired about a car from carfax and they said its available. The sales person assured to reserve the car until I come. I drove all the way from Tucson to Phoenix. Once I reached there they started the drama that wait we are cooling the car and all that shit. I had an appointment to get my brake pads replaced. SOMEONE checked me in and even radioed in to inform the office the 3:30 had arrived. They told me to leave my key in the car and wait inside. Two hours go by so I ask for an update. They claimed no one ever checked my car so it had been sitting there the whole time and no work had been done. After having a less than choice experience with the service department about two years ago in which they tried to charge me for things that were unnecessary, I went back because I had a warranty issue. I am actually glad I did because I had a really good experience. I worked with a man named Paul, who was very professional and polite throughout my experience. We were not encouraged to do unnecessary repairs, and my bill was way cheaper than expected. While my Hyundai Elantra has generally been a wonderful car with few maintenance issues, I always feel nervous about being gouged when I visit a dealership service center (any one, not just here), but Paul treated me fairly and with respect. Also, I should add everyone working had a mask, which was really rare from my experience with other dealerships, as I had been shopping to replace my other car over October and most dealerships are not taking CDC recommendations very seriously. read more

If you are looking for the stereotypical scumbag dealership experience, with old school bait and switch tactics complete with bald faced lies and false promises, you will love Camelback Hyundai. I was looking for a car online, and the worst deal I received came from Camelback Hyundai. It was so bad I didn't even bother responding to it. A couple of days later, the sales person sent me a text to find out why I never replied. I was honest and told him he was higher than everyone else, by far. They had the typical marked up tint packages, and interior "protection" they charge over $2200 for and then they have a $5000 "addendum" which is a market adjustment. I wasn't interested in paying over $7K over MSRP for a friggin Hyundai...but I digress. The salesman "Carlos" said he could knock those charges off for me, and a whole lot more. He also set an appointment for me to come in the next day and promised me an APR range based on the FICO I gave him and said he would give me a gas card for a fill up in exchange for driving down there if he couldn't deliver on the deal he promised me. We showed up the next day and asked for him by his nickname "AVOCADO" (I'm not making this up, I swear) and we were told he wasn't there, but that they work as a team. I should have left right then. That was the first bait and switch move, as he didn't even know the details of what was offered. After about 20 minutes of back and forth with the sales person first trying to switch us to a different vehicle, and finally breaking down a much worse offer he finally understood what our bottom line was. When he came back it was actually his sales manager who sat down with us and back and told us the offer I had been given via text was incorrect and could not be honored. He also explained they don't give out gas cards and would not honor that promise either because the crappy deal he was offering was a deal, and I'm choosing not to take it. What? I have usually had great service experiences here, until today. They are under construction, so I will give a small consideration for that. However if you are short on bays, don't schedule at full capacity. I came in at 1:45pm, my appt is at 2:00pm- at 4:30pm I inquired about an ETA, and my car was barely in the bay. I have seen everyone come and leave. This was for an oil change. I was disappointed that I did not have the usual good service. I hope that whomever reads this understands that the standard was set high and my expectations were simply really let down. NEVER AGAIN. One of the major selling points for me was the warranty. I bought the car from them in part because of the warranty. My fuel intake broke after 3 years, when I called the dealership to set up a service appointment, I was told the soonest they could even look at it is maybe 3 weeks if I'm lucky. I fully understand the pandemic screwed everything up. I'm not upset it will take a while, it's that they have thrown up their hands and said too bad. They refuse to give me a loaner, which is pretty standard for service centers backed up 6 weeks. So basically this warranty they sold me on is worthless. All the reviews talking about how bad sales and service is are 100% accurate. The salesmen take you to be a fool, the sales manager is extremely aggressive, they will call you about 5 times a week, and quote you one deal on the phone only to presenter another, wholly ridiculous deal in store. They will sweet-talk you into coming into their store because once they get you in, they will present you with a ridiculously overpriced offer. And if you say no, 'I was really looking at something around $xyz', they will bring in a more aggressive salesperson who will repeat the offer to you as if that will have an effect on your willingness to purchase a car from them. Still don't like it? How about we make you wait 10 minutes and present the same offer again? Pathetic. If you can, I would suggest a different dealership. (Luckily, there are about 4-5 in the area. I bought a CERTIFIED USED Hyundai Sonata at over $20k. I made an amateur mistake as it's been a while since I got a used car and didn't inspect the exterior. I got home and was showing it to my family and noticed a CRACK on the rear driver side bumper fascia from the taillight almost to the bottom. Went back to tell them as this would have been a deal breaker and their response was that they knew about it and "had priced it accordingly" yet somehow they forgot to tell me about it. There is also a scuff on the right rear behind the tire. I was happy about the car and changed insurance, cancelled extended warranty on trade-in, and ordered some accessories otherwise I WOULD HAVE RETURNED THE CAR. It is going to cost almost 2K to have it repaired and they couldn't even split 1/2 the cost of the repair. Felt the need to Share I purchased a used vehicle, Nissan Altima, from this location about 3 months ago from Justin Frederick. He was Wonderful! Justin was very nice, patient, down to earth and helped find the right vehicle. One thing I loved was he wasn't high pressure and spent the time when I made the decision to purchase to explain everything. Since then I have purchased three dodge chargers, a dodge Durango, and a Jaguar XE sport. And I was just coming back to say that Camelback Hyundai still is the biggest ripoff car dealership I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few. The service department has been good to me and Paul is amazing. This review is for sales however. Every time I go to get my 2013 Sonata serviced, the sales guys harass the ever living heaven out of me. Even when I'm outside waiting at the Lyft pickup spot. These guys have 0 self-awareness and a lack of boundaries. I made the mistake of entertaining one of them once after receiving a mailer stating what my car could be worth as a trade-in. The offer that was actually given was over 2k less than the mailer. Absolutely not. Almost nothing will get me trade in my vehicle, I love it and have a lifetime warranty on the engine after a failure that led to an entire recall. So the offer that was suggested to me was HILARIOUSLY insulting. Not only that but I told homeboy that I would be paying all cash if I did the trade in and the guy was embarrassingly desperate to get me on a car payment. Yeah, I know guy. Because you get a kickback from putting people in unnecessary debt. Awkward. They also call me way too much, leave voicemails and texts to the point where I have to block numbers. Let me give you sales guys a tip from a woman who has been in sales for over a decade- you are either a trustee or a beneficiary in an exchange with anyone in your life. In order to be the actual beneficiary (the one benefitting) you better at least act like you are the trustee providing something of actual value in exchange. None of you do that. You all act like 15 year old boys trying to get laid and it's soooo pathetic! Actually makes me laugh every time I get my car serviced. Even an inanimate object could smell the desperation and run the other way. I've had better interactions with call center scammers in India. read more

Ira Wolfson at Camelback Hyundai service department is a service manager that could have done things differently today and actually helped a customer, but instead, he chose to not agree with the customer. In my case, I bought a Honda Sonata back in 2016 from Camelback Hyundai and my skid plate on my car came undone about 3 months ago and instead of replacing the plate and damaged part they chose to use zip ties instead. The other day I was driving home from work and what would you know those ties came loose and the plate fell, this time it completely came off along with the right wheel well cover leaving me on the freeway with rush hour traffic trying to get it without getting hit. He didn't even keep in mind or even consider that my life was at risk trying to retrieve a part. Today they told me that they would not replace the plate as it was not of their doing, but see it was because they didn't properly secure it the first time, instead they used zip ties instead of real fasteners. This is the email I received from Ira today stating "The temporary repairs lasted an excess of 8,000 miles, I would say you got your money's worth which was zero cost to you, the consumer." WOW! As you can see they failed to replace the part and could have fixed this in the first place as he even stated "temporary fix". I have a warranty on the vehicle, yet this is a supposed part that is not covered even though it is used to protect the engine from debris and keep other parts from damage. I am sorry Ira but you have failed in your customer service department and instead of helping a customer with something that should have been covered you chose to present me with a cost for something that I had no control over, something you as a service department should have fixed right the first time. I will not be using Camelback Hyundai for any service from here on out and warn others to stay away as they don't truly care about the customer. As you can see from my most recent photos the damage and they didn't even secure the part where they could have with retainer clips. read more

After frustration since last year in October would Camelback Kia and USA Auto. I had grown tired of making repairs and being told by quote-" professionals that the car would run the way it's supposed to after charging me thousands of dollars and still the problem persistent persisted.
