Where do I begin? We were on a little road trip to Pacific City and decided to stop by Camino along the way. We came in HUNGRY. The restaurant has a cozy, homey feel, and the staff took the experience to another level. When we sat down, they asked if we wanted to look at the menu or simply leave it up to the chef and go with the "Francisco Special." Without even glancing at the menu, we decided to trust them... and we were so glad we did. It ended up being one of our favorite dining experiences. Every one of the five courses was spectacular. They also asked about any dietary restrictions before the meal began. We didn't have any, but after chatting with the chef, we learned that he has spent time eating plant-based and experimenting extensively with plant-based alternatives. Based on that conversation, I imagine they would be more than capable of accommodating dietary restrictions. One of my favorite parts of the evening was that each dish came with a brief explanation, either the story behind the dish or details about the ingredients and preparation. It made the meal feel thoughtful, personal, and memorable from start to finish. I wish I got more/better pictures of the food but our phones didn't eat first this time... P.S. Our friends who own Kefvan - a party van/tourist van company recommended taking our group here for dinner after wine-tasting... and it was an excellent choice! We were served a three course meal consisting of a beautiful, sweet and savory salad, choice of an enchilada, or huevos rancheros, and a chocolate and berry.dessert. I was brave and asked the owner¿ what we should order. After asking us a few questions he recommended the Torta for my husband and the 4 pork enchiladas for me. Both were excellent. Cute little spot in Dayton that serves excellent Mexican food--authentic, flavorful, delicious! We've been there 3 times now and leave so happy! Humberto is super nice and helpful! The chef came out and chatted. Try the hibiscus margaritas--so good. I'd recommend a dish but everything is great. Oh, the tortillas are all homemade. I can't say enough!!! read more

Great Brunch Spot in Dayton! We biked to Camino from the Vintage Trailer Resort for brunch on the morning after July 4th. We got a table easily and were greeted by a super friendly server who let us know some items might be limited -- but luckily, we got everything we wanted. The black coffee (with cane sugar) was amazing -- probably the best we've had! I even got a refill. They also brought out complimentary chips and refried beans, which were extra flavorful with a nice spice twist. My husband had the burrito and I got the enchiladas -- both were delicious and authentic. Even our picky 8-year-old enjoyed the enchiladas, which says a lot! A great local spot with warm service and bold flavors. Definitely worth the stop! read more

This is such a cute location in historic downtown Dayton. The interior is inviting and the service was warm and welcoming. I loved the details like the red clay drinking vessels. The food was prepared with care and you could tell in the presentation and flavor. The chips in my chilaquiles were light and crisp and smothered with a tangy green sauce. They were delicious as were my spouse's chicken enchiladas in a cream and green sauce. We finished with their amazing flan that had a lovely texture. I'd definitely recommend a stop here. read more

My husband and I decided to take advantage of what might be the last perfect autumn day of 2025, so we decided to go to the Willamette Valley wine area and had hoped to go to the Dundee Bistro. Unfortunately, we found out that it was closed, so we researched restaurants in the area and decided upon Camino. Our brunch was a delightful gift! The restaurant is small, and the decor is pleasant. It is what I'd call 'rustic industrial', with metal and re-sourced wood. It was charming. Not your typical Mexican restaurant decor . . . in fact, it reminded us more of a small family-run restaurant in Spain, Italy, or Portugal. It wasn't overdone or frivolous but very tasteful. The menu offered some of the types of things you would find at a typical Mexican restaurant, but also dishes that we'd never heard of before. The server was very happy to describe each of the dishes we were unsure about. I decided on the Huevos Rancheros, and my husband had the Sojes. I won't go into detail trying to describe them, but they were both delicious and very unique. Don't hesitate to order the chips and salsa - they don't usually serve them - but they are so worth the $6.00 they charge. We couldn't even finish them, and we usually go through a basket and salsa and have seconds! If you like authentic Mexican food, you've got to try this. They have a limited wine and beer menu, and we are not beer drinkers, so we ordered a Pinot Noir from Carmy Winery that was really good. . . not just good enough - it was good. We'll be looking for it to buy from a distributor. Service was excellent. The chef even came out to our table towards the end of our meal and asked us what we thought of the food. That doesn't happen often. We'll be back. read more

We decided to stop by for brunch, they did not disappoint. I had the huevos rancheros, my son had the chilaquiles with eggs, and my daughter had carne asada quesadilla. Camino in Dayton was a hit with our party of 4 in August. Friendly, attentive wait staff - the chef even came to the table to inquire about our meals. We had enchiladas suizas and verde - all with excellent flavor and beautifully presented. And large portions- which we finished because it was SO GOOD! I went with a large group of 12 for brunch on Sunday. I did call ahead to let them know the size of the party. The table was all set up and ready for us and with as many people as there were, there was quite a variety of different dishes being served. Every one of us was raving about our meal, the service was impeccable and the Mexican tiramisu was a delightful finish. I love the coffee with the warmth of the cinnamon in it and appreciated The little details, like the tiny picture of cream for my coffee, as opposed to prepackaged half and half in plastic.
