This is such a cute location in historic downtown Dayton. The interior is inviting and the service was warm and welcoming. I loved the details like the red clay drinking vessels. The food was prepared with care and you could tell in the presentation and flavor. The chips in my chilaquiles were light and crisp and smothered with a tangy green sauce. They were delicious as were my spouse's chicken enchiladas in a cream and green sauce. We finished with their amazing flan that had a lovely texture. I'd definitely recommend a stop here.

The coffee reminded me of my beloved Mexico! The best rojo and green chilaquiles, and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely return. Thank you.

    Delicious flan!!

Delicious food, very nice staff, good prices. Go now before this place gets popular and there's a line to get in the door! Will be back soon.

We decided to stop by for brunch, they did not disappoint. I had the huevos rancheros, my son had the chilaquiles with eggs, and my daughter had carne asada quesadilla. Food had a lot of flavor and delicious. Service was spot on too. If I were to recommend anything to the owner is a little more curb appeal to attract people to taste the wonderful food. Decor inside too to enhance the ambience. Plate presentation plus plus. Definitely recommend this place

Great burrito and taco. The burrito was big enough for two of us and the street taco was yummy. Thank you.

The interior is very cute - there was a red checkered tablecloth on our table. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. When we ordered the espresso martini and mentioned we only wanted one to share, she came back with it split into two mini glasses! We've never had that happen before. The french toast was really good, esp. with the lemon curd. I was scraping every last bit of it into my mouth. I'd love to try other menu items next time!

We had a 10:45 reservation but ended up waiting outside on the sidewalk for over 40 minutes. We got a couple of "it'll be soon" updates and one offer to sit at a picnic table on the sidewalk. That wasn't an option for my husband's back. And, by that point, it felt like we'd already had the full sidewalk experience! To add to the frustration, we watched a table that would have fit our party turn over and be given to a group that had arrived well after us. Once seated, things didn't improve much. Our daughter has celiac disease, and after talking through options with our server, she ordered a modified breakfast plate. When it arrived, it had two slices of (gluten-full) toast placed right in the middle. We asked for a remake. While we were waiting someone came over to tell us (firmly) that the kitchen isn't dedicated gluten-free. We fully get that, but that's different from putting bread on top of everything on the plate, especially after we'd already discussed the restriction. As I was saying that, the staff member walked away. The interaction felt more like a lecture than the apology that would've been appropriate. The food overall was okay, but not memorable. My husband said the "special" Bloody Mary was the worst he's ever had--memorable, just not in a good way. On the positive side, the gluten-free coffee cake was excellent, and thankfully the company made the day worthwhile. My guess is there may have been an issue with our reservation. We made it in person previously and it was written in a notebook. When we called to confirm the day before, they initially couldn't find it. It felt like it might not have made it into the system, and they were trying to accommodate on the fly once they realized it. If that's the case, a little transparency upfront would have gone a long way--we would have appreciated the option to adjust our plans rather than end up waiting outside for so long. Overall, this felt like a series of misses and mishandled opportunities to improve the experience. It's also an excellent reminder of why I normally steer clear of dining out on holidays.

Crescent Cafe, kudos, you've done it again! We discovered Crescent about a year ago at the recommendation of a friend who used to live in McMinnville. We tried it then and we were very pleased with our experience. We returned again today. Met by a friendly staff, we did have a bit of a wait but that was on us... we failed to make a reservation. Nonetheless, it was worth the wait! They accommodated all 6 of us in less time than predicted. We were seated at a lovely table in the front of the restaurant and met by a lovely waitress who was so bubbly, friendly, and kind. Coffees showed up quickly and our orders were taken quite promptly. The atmosphere was lively and the staff was attentive. Food. They just do dang good here. First, yes we know what is coming now... THEY KNOW HOW TO COOK AN EGG TO ORDER! Second, the food is fresh and piping hot... hashbrowns are perfectly crisp, and the ham was delish! Overall, what more can I say? Huge portions, we each ate / drank cofee for ~$20/each and left with leftover boxes. Crescent Cafe knows how to do brunch. They thrive in all areas, you can't go wrong. Next time you're in McMinnville for the weekend, make sure you stop in for a fabulous brunch!

It was not greasy or oily in the least. It was so, so, so good. HEAVEN. I got the daily special of the pastry instead of toast and it was sour cream coffee cake - not too sweet, with the right amount of cinnamon swirl and delicious crumble on top. It was also tender and moist. So good! They also do a mean poached egg (those are hard and can be messed up easily). Friendly service, hometown feel, yummy food.

The walls are alive with local art, colors dancing, Grateful Dead vibes everywhere you look. Even the menu's singing... dish names straight out of a setlist, like you're ordering breakfast at a show that never really ended. Now the Marionberry French toast... oh man. That one hits like a perfect riff at just the right moment. Sweet, rich, and laid back in all the right ways and like it knew exactly why you showed up. They've got fresh baked goods dialed in too and this is their thing, and you can taste it in every bite. Service? Kinda like a wandering solo... not always in sync, not always warm, but hey the music (aka the food) keeps the whole thing together.
