Camp Bow Wow Colleyville is great. Our dog Cooper loves going to play with all his friends. It gives him an outlet for all his energy so he's not destroying things at home. What we like most about Bow Wow is as long as your fur baby is well behaved and friendly they get to play all day and they do not kennel/cage them like other competitors. I was so excited to bring my 1 yr old Dobie here, I had done research and with so many great reviews, I decided to give Camp Bowwow a chance. On my Dobie's second day, I noticed a gash on his side once we got home. I took a picture and reached out to the day care. They said they didn't see any altercation and will review the cameras. I decided to take him to the vet, because he is my child, and I was worried of any possible infection. The owner/manager reached out and said he will continue to look at the tape but did not see anything out of the ordinary. He also said my dobie plays rough, which he does, and I am not faulting the other dog, I'm sure it was an accident. But then again maybe there should be more employees watching the dogs, for when they do get a little out of hand? That day there was a lot of rambunctious dogs with only 1 employee watching them all. But what made me upset is his comment to me that maybe I should get a second opinion, that with his experience it looks like he does not need stitches. 800$ later, for sedation, meds,stitches,emergency visit fee. Now this is not his first time at day care, he had been going to another one since last summer, but I needed something on my way to work that's why i chose Camp Bowow. There has NEVER been any issues with the other doggy day care in over the 6 months he has been going. Again I understand dogs play rough, but for him to insinuate that it was Mac's fault or that I was overreacting does not sit well with me, and I will not be returning to this location. Update- I am NOT a new dog mom, I NEVER mentioned to them I was a new dog mommy, in fact I told them I had 2 other small dogs at home! So why lie and put words in my mouth? I'm sorry but how would the owner know what I said? I NEVER met him or have talked to him. I have had dogs my entire life, and I treat them as my children. The owner is trying to justify my reaction by saying I am a new dog mom. I'm sorry what happened was not just a scratch, it was an open wound, and I was worried about infection, since he plays outside and rolls around in the grass and dirt. How about you take accountability and admit that maybe you need more employees watch the dogs. Also he keeps saying I am "harming" his business by leaving a bad review. I am warning other dog parents about this location. I also just read reviews about employees who used to work for the company, not necessarily this location, but one ex employee said there were fights weekly, even sometimes daily and the managers would lie to the parents and say they were just playing too rough. Sounds pretty familiar!!! Besides the way THE OWNER replied to my review, just shows what type of person he is! My dog has been going here for a few years. She used to go somewhere else, but they made some changes I don't particularly care for. I gave them a chance to adjust, they did not, so I went elsewhere - that's how I ended up here. The other place was much closer, but it's worth the drive to me. Someone posted a pic of their dog with a small wound on their face. Mine also got a small place on her 3rd or 4th trip. No big deal. They are dogs. Stuff is occasionally going to happen. They called to tell me as soon as it happened. I was out of town, so there really wasn't much I could do, and they assured me she was O.K. The staff have always been extremely happy and helpful. If you have a high energy dog, they won't be high energy when you get them back. Mine always sleeps most of the next day, and if she's been there for an extended stay, she might sleep for two days. It's really nice to be able to look in on them with the cameras. read more

So let me start off by saying that I never had a problem with this location before but I need to share my experience. I took my dog in around 10 o'clock in the morning and then around 12 thirtyish I was trying to look on the video cam to see how he's doing for a good 10 minutes and wasn't able to find him. So when I called the location Mark picked up saying "oh I was about to call you, Loki got hurt." Then he went through a whole spiel about how Loki is a roughhousing dog and he's done this many times at the daycare which I was unaware of and this was a surprise to me, so I told him that my boyfriend will come get Loki now. About few minutes later he called back saying he spoke with his back of house supervisor Bradley and realized he was talking about the wrong dog and when we got there I see that there's a huge cut on Loki's face . This is not OK there are supposed be counselors in the room with the dogs at all times. This is disappointing and upsetting. read more

The pups first day at day play was amazing! The check-in was seamless and they were so nice and welcoming! I have had some tricky experiences with my pups at other boarding places, it's almost like they didn't want us to come back. Terrible first experience. I scheduled the interview and tour last week. Unfortunately, I made a mistake on the location (scheduled here, actually wanted the airport location). I showed up at the airport location and was told they didn't have me down for an appointment and we figured out where I went wrong. The person at the location by the airport suggested I go ahead and call the other location, rush over there and do the tour and interview and then they could transfer all of ghat information over to this location. I asked "are you sure that's possible?" And was told it happens from time to time and it wouldn't be a problem. So I call and explain the situation to the other location and basically get stonewalled. I'm told it would be better for my pet if I just rescheduled the interview for the new location. Really? Better for my pet? So I attempted to do that but unfortunately they were booked up for the next week. So I call back and try to ask again why we can't go ahead with all the red tape and interview with his location and then transfer. I was told that it wasn't possible and that if I want to use the airport location I should just go to them. I tried explaining again and he cut me off and said he can't help me anymore. I then asked if I could speak to the manager and was informed he was the manager and there was nobody else to talk to. It's clear that they don't care anything about serving customers and only want profit. This makes me very unlikely to use this location ever. read more

After contacting Houndquarters and requested that the owner of this location call us, he still hasn't. No respect for anyone who doesn't respond to customer concerns. This location is terrible. I called the office the day before I leave town to ensure they had everything they needed, only to be informed that my reservation was cancelled. The reason for this was because they did not have my shot records and I did not pay a 50% prepayment prior to arrival. However, the day I set up my reservation I was told they would call the other CBW locations I've been to to get shot records sent over. I was also never informed of a prepayment requirement, and have never had to do this at any other location. The person I talked to today said they tried calling me and sent an email to let me know about the cancellation, which is a straight up lie considering I haven't heard a single word from them since I set up the reservation. To make up for this mess, they offered to put me on the waitlist in case a cancellation occurs. Really thoughtful of them. I won't consider this location in the future nor would I recommend it to anybody. read more

Went to drop our dog off for a pre boarding interview, as I walked in I could hear the employees screaming at the dogs, immediately I did not like what I was seeing. Then on the camera I saw an employee slam a husky against a wall and drag him into a camera blind spot while screaming at the poor dog the entire time. I grabbed my dog and left. The employee that was manhandling the Husky tried to justify his behavior to me as I was leaving. Even more alarming was the fact that the employees told me about the camera blind spots and knew exactly where they all are. A direct quote from one of the employees , "theres a lot of blind spots." If you own a Husky that was boarded on 8/4/21, demand to see the tapes from about 0840 to 0900. Do not take your dog here for boarding. read more

THEY REFUSED TO RETURN MY BOYS. I was looking for a new place for my boys. I have two high energy dogs that are still getting acclimated to apartment life. One is my registered support dog and the other we got for his companion. I took them in for a day stay on a Saturday, specifically calling to ask if they were busy because Mister (my support dog) has had reservations about going when their usual place is overcrowded. I was told that they would have to be interviewed again seeing as it had been over a year since they had been in. I leave and go back to the house and open up their doggie cams. I wasn't fond of what I saw. It's not like they were being beat or anything but the place was crowded and I watched as two dogs fixated on Mister, wouldn't leave him alone, and the attendant was too busy on her phone. I decided that wasn't the place for me and went to go pick them up. They had been there and hour. The guy behind the desk told me it would be $75. Two dogs full day. Um I'm sorry no. They were there for a interview, im not paying a full day. HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY DOGS UNTIL I PAID! I told him several times I wasn't happy, they were there only an hour, and demanded my animals. He still refused and told me I would not get my dogs until I paid full price period. He was very fortunate that I kept my cool, stepped out side, AND CALLED THE POLICE TO GET MY ANIMALS. This place is a disgrace, they could care less about what they do, and what that guy tried to do was completely illegal! read more
