Owner lives on the property. The runs are clean and have an inside heated section. There is also a large outdoor play area which is fenced. You must show vaccination records which I much appreciated. You are allowed to bring in your own food, treats, bowls and bedding. Reasonably priced for a good facility with caring people. read more

We use Camp Bow Wow for boarding for both our dogs. It isn't super fancy, but very clean and the kennels are spacious with indoor and outdoor access. Our dogs have stayed at much more expensive boarding facilities and have come home sick- this has never happened at Camp Bow Wow- so no worries leaving them for long stays! Very reasonably priced and the owners are very nice and accommodating. Will definitely keep boarding here! read more

Moved to Frisco in 1999 and have used Camp Bow Wow on numerous occasions. Our first dog was a larger than normal Doberman named Vegas. She was tall and they immediately noticed she needed a larger door to go in and outside and moved her to a larger kennel immediately. A couple of years after we lost Vegas we rescued a Doberman named Rocki and she has been to Camp Bow Wow 5 times. The last time was for a week which is the longest we have left her and she did great. Was super happy to see us when we picked her up but was healthy and well taken care of. This was our first time boarding with April. We were very pleased. April was so accommodating and could easily be reached by text. The pens are a large size with indoor/outdoor covered access. Our dog is quite small and I was afraid he would be cold since I found out the pens are outside. He was in a great area that was nicely heated. Very comfortable. Although we only needed to board for a few days we picked him up and he seemed well cared for. read more

We recently put our dog here over the weekend while we were out of town. The Kennel itself is nice, with a concrete flooring and wire fences separating the pens. The interior also is heated & cooled for seasonal weather. Each pen also has a doggy door which opens up into a grass run for each dog, also separated by wire fence. The price was great, but I wouldn't recomend leaving my dog here though. Cons: The odd work hours make it difficult for owners to pick up their pet on their return trip. The kennel is only open from 10AM - 12PM. Then they close for four hours and only re-open in the evening from 4PM to 6PM. I understand and respect that four hours of the day is dedicated to cleaning and caring for the dogs, however, when we arrove to pick up our dog at 2PM the employee on site was aggitated with our request to collect our dog in between open hours and stated 'we are closed and I am cleaning.' He appeared annoyed when I persisted. We were on our return trip home from a long day on teh road and we would like to pick up our animal along the way. I asked, "Is it too much touble to just let him out of the cage real fast and get paid. Would you would have us leave and come back in 2 hours?" He stared at me as if contemplating to turn us away, or not. Finally, he begrudingly agreed to accept my payment and release our dog to us, as though walking into the office to recieve money and walking into the kennel was an outrageous request. Bottom line, the guy was a complete dick. He was that way when we dropped off our dog too. And because of his poor work ethic and the difficult hours of opperation, I will not bring my dog back here. Oh, and good luck trying to get someone on the phone. Great facility. Terrible help. read more

Took our two dogs here for the first time while we took an overnight trip. Called ahead and made a reservation. Dropped them off, showed them that are dogs were up to date on their vaccines, and toured the place. Everything appears to be great. They have heated, covered pens that have a doggy door that allows them to go outside. Staff was very friendly. Picked up our dogs and they seemed great. We will definitely plan on using them in the future. read more

This is a family run business and it shows! The owner, April, is sweet, accommodating, and loves what she does. Their price is extremely reasonable and once you are a customer, it will not go up. My dog actually comes home exhausted and takes a day to recover. Unlike most kennels, Camp Bow Wow has individual outdoor dog runs. I know my Bailey spends her days enjoying the country scenery and actually running around. In the summer the indoor section is cooled and winter, heated. Dogs can choose if they want to hang out inside or outside. I have been using Camp Bow Wow for close to 10 years and the kennels have been consistently spotless and well kept. They are open on Sundays which is an added bonus. You can also text the listed phone number and you'll get a timely response. read more

We took our dogs here and the kennel was filthy. Our big dog had multiple piles of poop in his area. Our little dog came back with an infection on her back probably because of the filth. We certainly won't go back here. It appeared to be waaaay too many animals and not enough help. Would not recommend this place. read more

I love this boarding facility for our dogs! The dogs can go in and out of the doggy door as they please to go outside. The dog's cages including ours is always clean when we drop off and pick up. We don't board our dogs in the same kennel because of toy aggression, but I like that they can be next to each other and see one another because of how open it is. The owner lives on site which is nice as well! And the prices are extremely reasonable! read more

Love Camp Bow Wow Kennels! April and her team have taken good care of our fur babies since they were babies! (They are now 13!) Each "room" has its own small private yard. They are kept warm in the winter and cool in the summer! We feel good sending our puppy boys to camp when we can't take them with us! read more

We are out of town a lot so your pups are at Camp Bow-Wow a lot. My wife and I have been using them to board our pups for over five years and never had any problems. If you care about your dog... Don't leave them here. First and last time I will trust them with my pet. Only fed him 1/2 the food I brought for the stay and when we got home he emptied the water bowl. It's no different than leaving him at the animal shelter. read more

We've taken our dogs here three different times now, in three different seasons. We board them in the same cage, and they always do well. The owner and her family and staff clearly have an affection for animals and it shows in their work - this is more than just a "money maker" for them. I like the fact that each kennel has both an indoor and outdoor section. You can also get your pet bathed before they return home. We usually choose to do this, and they always do a great job. This is NOT a fancy facility, but it is nice, clean, and well-run. The prices are very fair. My dogs do not do well at places such as PetSmart - the tight quarters stress them out, and as a result, one of my dogs refused to poop and became constipated. Our next trip, we tried Camp Bow-Wow for boarding. My dogs did great and were MUCH more relaxed. Be prepared to leave a message when you call - the owner and staff often out in the kennels, but they return calls quickly. read more

Great facility with friendly staff. Dogs are well cared for. Big down side is how hard it is to actually make reservations over the phone. I have used this kennel in the past, and consistently have trouble getting someone to return my calls. I started today, about 4 hours ago, calling and leaving message after message that I urgently need to make reservation, but alas, no one can be bothered to call me back. I guess I could go out in person to make a reservation, but what's the point of taking voice messages if they never return anyone's call?? Very frustrating!! read more

In comparison to a human hotel I would say it's on the level or slightly below a Motel 6. The absolute most basic accommodations are provided. It is all outside with water misters for air conditioning. There are probably 150 dogs there- I'm not sure how they could all be properly cared for. It is chaos when you get there with the plethora of dogs barking. When my dog was walked into the kennel it reminded me of a prison movie where all the "inmates" watch u walk in yelling and screaming, only it's barking of course;) Needless to say my dog stayed until I could find better accommodations. He is now in something along the lines of a Hilton-all inside, air conditioned, Super clean and sanitary with a huge place to run and it is soooo peaceful. I know, hard to imagine , but u barely even realize it's a kennel. I'm sure your dog will survive there and overnight is probably ok but I didn't want to take the chance and for a few more bucks he is being treated like a beloved pet should be. read more
