This place has been great for grooming our standard poodle and mini schnauzer. Making an…read moreappointment is easy, everyone is super friendly and they do a great job. It's a little pricy, but that's every where now and at least here I get what I pay for! I highly recommend, and I'm a picky dog mom.

We boarded our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, Drako, at Paw Oasis from August 1-10 and paid…read moreapproximately $930 for his stay and related services. A nail trim was performed on his final day. After pickup, we discovered bleeding around multiple nails, and Drako was limping and having significant difficulty walking. The following day, Dr. Peter Bone at Lewisville Animal Hospital physically examined Drako and documented in writing that "all toenails were cut beyond the quick and painful to touch." He further stated that, in his professional opinion, the toenail trim was too aggressive and was the cause of Drako's limping. Drako required veterinary treatment and pain medication, resulting in a $188.40 veterinary bill, and his limited walking continued for days afterward. Paw Oasis conducted an internal investigation, reviewed available footage, spoke with staff, and communicated with the veterinary office. To their credit, management spent considerable time reviewing our concerns and told us they provided additional training and observation regarding nail-trimming procedures. However, Paw Oasis ultimately declined responsibility, stating that no bleeding or discomfort had been observed while Drako was there or at pickup and that he had additional activity afterward. At the same time, Paw Oasis acknowledged that his nails may have been trimmed "shorter than was ideal" and later stated that the nail trim "may have left Drako's nails more sensitive" to activity after leaving. After their investigation was completed, I specifically requested reimbursement of Drako's documented veterinary expenses, a refund related to the grooming/nail-trim service, and an appropriate partial refund of the boarding charges. Paw Oasis declined those requests and confirmed that its final position remained a $20 account credit for the nail trim, which I declined. I understand that businesses need to investigate complaints. What I cannot reconcile is Paw Oasis's conclusion with the written assessment of the veterinarian who physically examined Drako the following day. Unfortunately, this experience and the way it was ultimately resolved eliminated the trust necessary for us to leave Drako there again. I'm sharing our experience so other pet owners can make their own informed decision.

We absolutely appreciate The Dog Stop in The Colony! The owner and staff are great people. They've…read morebeen providing day care/boarding for our pups for about a year now, and every experience has been amazing. They are always so accommodating--even with last-minute boarding--which gives me so much peace of mind. You can truly tell they care about the dogs like their own. This Easter really meant a lot to us. When we picked up our dogs, each of them had their own adorable goodie bag with a plush toy, a cute bandana, and the sweetest little decorated treat. It was such a thoughtful surprise! But what really touched us was the Easter card they included--signed by the staff. That small gesture meant so much and shows how much heart they put into what they do. We also opted for the Easter photos, and they turned out so cute! They really go above and beyond--not just for the dogs, but for the families too!

I have finally found my groomer Kristi. I adopted 2 pomeranians 9 months ago. I have gone to…read moremultiple groomers and just wasn't happy with the results. I've taken them to kristi twice now and I'm very happy with the results. She's so patient with these fur babies. One of them is high strung and a very nervous fur baby. Kristi makes him feel safe. He doesn't come out shaking like he did with other groomers because he's giving her kisses. My other pom loves everyone but she has thick course hair. Kristi gives her a wonderful deep condition that makes it soft. I like that when I tell her what I want I get exactly that. They always look great. We are already scheduled for our next appointment in 8 weeks. Everyone I've met her is so nice. I love taking my babies here. Theyre very reasonable too. Plus if you book your next appointment the same day you pickup you get 10% off your next appointment. Go check them out.
