This is a secluded camp ground that is right on the Kentucky River. The GPS told us we were there, about 1/4 mile short of their entrance. A handwritten sign on the side of the road continued our road guidance.
We were using this park as our home base for one week of visiting the distilleries in the area.
With a significant amount of rain during the week, the park was a mess. The lawn wasn't mowed and it was above ankle height. Having to walk a dog in that, guaranteed soaking wet shoes and feet each time. They did tell us that both lawnmowers were broken and they would mow as soon as one of them was fixed. Two days before our departure, they mowed the grass.
It was apparent that there were full time residents there, based on the amount of garbage and "yard art" next to their RVs.
Some of the pads were defined. Several were concreted or gravel. Ours was mush. After trudging through it to get the rig level, I found that the sewer line was in the front of the site. On our RV, its in the back. Fortunately, with 30' of hose on board, no problem. Next, where is the water supply? Oh, we have to go over and share with the neighbor. There were plastic splitters on each head. The pressure was good. I did need the full 50' of hose to make it over to the neighbor's side.

Most all of the sites are in the trees on the South and East side of the property along the river. There is no cable TV. No problem, we have a satellite dish. All it has to do is face SOUTH. With 150 feet of coax we ran the line across the road in front and onto the far side of the median to see the southern sky. There was one other rig that did that. The rest had NO TV.
We have AT+T phone service. There was none there. Nor was their Sprint either. The park provides WiFi service, which worked sporadically.
We were less than 200 feet from the office and could not read emails or send text messages while connected.
The best reception was on the office porch, as I saw most people going there to make phone calls. The management does have a land line for emergencies if needed.
There is a trash dumpster for refuse located next to the office. It was full and swarming with flies throughout the week.
On the Saturday night after the 4th, they had a fireworks display which was quite a treat. It was over by about 10 p.m. However, the OWNERS continued to drink and party until 4:30 a.m. In the morning, there were beer bottles and trash all around the front of the office. A number of the guests were angry that they were kept up all night by the management of the park. Of all the above, I think that was inexcusable!
I think this could be a nice park. The management needs to commit to making this a clean, fun place to stay. Right now, it is not. read more
