They're also incredibly informative and helpful. I recently purchased some herbs from Ed's and their team meets you at the entrance to try to guide and assist you. It's a nice touch. Once you move on to the area where the herbs are, other folks will assist you there as well. Additionally, the selection of herbs is superior and more varied than what you'd find in the nearby home stores. Ed's also carries a ton of flowers - fortunately they are around to answer questions because the selection can be overwhelming. Bottom line: there is no better place in the area for landscape that beats Ed's. Even for Christmas trees or herbs.

We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

After speaking with the lady up front (I believe it was the owner Donny's wife, but not 100% sure) she talked us into using their services because she convinced us that their sod was locally grown and they had expert installers. We spend almost $1,000.00 and they came by the next week. Everything seemed to be ok after they left, but less than a month later, the sod stared to brown. MULTIPLE requests (including text messages, phone calls and visits to the store) and months later Donny finally agreed to replace the sod. NO notification that they were coming, I got a knock on my door the last day of October (7 MONTHS later) they were there to replace the sod. In the middle of the guys replacing the sod, Donny (the owner) literally pulled up in front of my house, got out and screamed in front of my entire neighborhood how he didn't think my sod actually needed to be replaced and to "never effing call him again" (Yes I have it all on video if anyone is interested). After an altercation, he trespassed me from his store. Nice way to deal with a customer that only wanted to get what he paid almost 3X what he should have from a local business.

Growing Wild was so understanding and respectful of having a clear budget and staying close to or within it. Barbara was straightforward about what would cost more, how to stay within budget, what was worth it and what wasn't, and was so reasonable with pricing and worked so well with us in our pricing comfort zone. She knows all the tricks to getting the best bang for your buck, including lots of floral repurposing. On my wedding day, I was absolutely blown away by the florals and there is no question the tone, beauty, and visual experience they set for everyone on the day. The colors, the artful arrangements, the creativity, the variety....wow!!! They even repurposed the flowers on our arch to below our sweetheart table which created an amazing look. Many arrangements had multiple purposes and gave me such joy to see used more than once- the bridesmaids bouquets in clear vases near the welcome area, the ceremony chair posies used on tables at cocktail hour and on the outside steps at our reception, and the two large aisle arrangements creatively flanking our greenery/neon sign wall (which I didn't think of and never would have, and was so excited to see when I walked in- genius for awesome photos). Barbara's daughter Lindsey did most of the floral coordination and set up on the day of and she was similarly just as awesome and artful with the entire experience. Barbara and the Growing Wild team, you all made our floral dreams come true and we can't imagine our day without you in it. I'll never forget all of our flowers; from my bouquet, to the ceremony arch, to the high and low arrangements, to the whimsical welcome sign arrangement... the list goes on and on. Second, I don't think they told us the right kind of paint to buy because it has always looked too matte and stroke-y, and has lately started to bubble. In the future, I would do more research about what type of paint to buy rather than ask the guy who shows up -- I shouldn't have sprung it on them, even though they were more than happy to do it. Who knew that door paint selection could be such a process? Despite these two notes, I would definitely use Patrick's again in the future. It's hard to find a place that offers great customer service these days, and I am very grateful!

My wife and I recently contracted with Campbell and Ferrara to complete the first phase of what will be a three phase deck and landscaping project. This past week phase one, a two level floating ground level deck was completed; and we couldn't be more pleased with the results or the process. The process started with a visit by our Landscaping and Design Consultant (and now friend) Mark McGinnis. Mark came by on time on the day appointed to discuss our vision for our new back yard area. He helped us scope out our plans, provided valuable insight and input and produced a fantastic presentation and plan for phases one and two of our project. With his assistance we've now moved on to consider the elements of a third phase. As I mentioned, we're doing two more phases with C&F, not only because they did a great job constructing the elements we wanted, but because they (Mark McGinnis) were there for every step of the process; helping us with multiple designs, managing our expectations about timing, managing subs and making sure that we didn't have to do anything to move the process along. They finished on time, on budget with and on plan. We will use C&F again and again. We will also ask for Mark on every project. He knows his business and is a pleasure to work with. We asked for estimates to replace our old wooden garden walls with stonework so the walls would continue to serve as attractive embankments for the hill and gardens behind them. Campbell & Ferrara's was considerably the best in price, details and materials, with all questions answered quickly and professionally. The crew who did the wall was the most exceptional of workers in every way, from meticulous craftsmanship to an eager consideration of any input from us. We just cannot say enough about them, as they were the very best we have had in detailed workmanship and artisan skills which made their layout of the stonework remarkable...absolutely peerless. The caring and responsiveness of the supervisor was also extraordinary, with his personal consideration given to any request while ensuring what he planned also met our expectations. He was a professional and personal pleasure to work with, from his ability to work out details to managing a myriad of items that ensured the final product was absolutely superb. Almost two decades ago, my wife and I hired Campbell & Ferrara to install a waterfall in our backyard The result is a magnificent three tiered creation that is the center piece of our garden. Fashioned out of flag stone, and with the pump hidden behind ornamental grass, most visitors assume our waterfall is a natural part of the landscape. This past year, the pump finally gave out so I called Campbell & Ferrara for help. Brian Leary was on it in a flash. Seeing that the old pump was beyond repair, he installed a new one, after successfully draining the water with out messing up the yard, cleaning the bottom, and making a few rearrangements of the stones. I needed some hardscaping services done, which include a retaining wall, dry river bed, pavers, and drainage. I decided to go with Campbell & Ferrara over Independent Landscape because of price and service. Independent Landscape insisted to use high end products and replace everything without explanation of why. Butch Winton, from Campbell & Ferrara, was patient and very professional. Butch provided beautiful and cost effective designs / ideas. He was able to use existing pavers and new border pavers to create a beautiful patio. They did a terrific job of working with us to incorporate plants we wanted to design a front and side garden. Eventually it was done...We followed his recommendation to not put salt on the new concrete for a year...the next year, rocks began to appear in the concrete and I called Antonio to come out and look...He blew me off for over a year, then came out saying we put salt on the concrete which we didn't...I asked him to fix it. He didn't. I called and called. He said he was our of the country and would come when he returned (2025). He came by, told me to power wash the driveway and he would be out the next week...I kept calling...Finally, its 2026, he says the work is out of warranty. I'm taking him to court...The walkway is not done professionally either.

Patrick Joseph Cash completed this job with excellent design achieving outstanding results. I am completely satisfied. He exceeded all my expectations and exceeded design specifications. The initial response for the design and the estimate was within 24 hours. Once I signed the contract, construction started the next day. I soon realized that Patrick had different teams of men who were highly skilled and proud to do quality work. Patrick was very prompt and offered great advice on my driveway cement design and the sidewalk pavers project. Patrick provided a Cambridge Armortec paver catalog and guided us through possible design and paver stone selection. We were able to visit the A1 Provision supplier Nuff Brothers Stone ( https://neffbrothersstone.com/) 9119 Industry Drive Manassas Park, Virginia 20111. There we met the owners, had a tour of the yard, and walked on more than ten paver stone patios. Then we met an actual Cambridge Armortec representative who explained the types of stone, color combinations, and stiles. Patrick's design was confirmed. Our paver selections were put on order the same day. Patrick did not require any deposit and payment was only after job completion and final inspection. The cost was fair and there were no surprises. Patrick made sure I received a solid stone base of new stone and sand for the driveway foundation for the 5 inch cement that was to be poured on top. Patrick's teams were all so professional and paid attention to the details in each of their area of work. Each of the teams impressed us. They went above and beyond in each of their specialties. Crew members were respectful, showed up on time, and cleaned up daily after themselves. My driveway and sidewalk looks amazing! Our neighbors are impressed. Quality, value, respect, and consistency are their core values. They excelled in qualities you want in a construction company! The day before final inspection, team members brought in fresh garden soil to fill where the frame boards were on the edge of the cement. They raked the lawn that was walked on during work. We are so impressed with A1 Provision and owner Patrick Joseph Cash (202-855-0543). Now with the job completed, we and our neighbors are blown away at the craftsmanship, quality and look. Every time any of my neighbors walks by, they stop to gaze at it and admire its beauty. The results are better than we could have imagined. I highly recommend A1 Provision. In just about two days we had a a quote all set and he provided some guidance on the type of plants if we wanted to plant additional ones and within a day we had scheduled service. He texted me before arriving so that we can go over things. He worked quietly and efficiently , texted again so we can see how things were looking and decided on playing additional or not and when he was done he texted again for final review . I called this company on the recommendation of a close friend who they had done excellent work for…read more The owner came out to assess and provide an estimate. He said he would follow up via email with the estimate and never did. I waited two weeks and contacted him again and his response was the work was outside the company's "scope of work". Mind u there was landscaping and paving work involved and I had asked him to quote me separately for each. Got the major brush off and don't trust the consistency or communication of this company... since I know they did good work for a friend.. Proceed with caution.. call these folks if u are willing to take a chance on their reliability.
