**2.75 stars** Campbell Creamery has a large menu, which is cool, but the line can get pretty long and the menu can be hard to understand (ie, we walked in based on a drink featured on a sign, but could not find it on any signage or menu inside the store). Then when it came time to get "tastes", the woman helping us wasn't friendly so we only got one taste and rushed to make a decision. After ordering an ice cream shake, we waited for such a long time that we watched at least 5 groups of customers order, pay and leave. When our staffer returned with our shake, we understood why she took so long: she over-blended the ice cream! I don't know if she was distracted or this is the usual way Campbell Creamery blends their shakes?!! All the flavors of the ice cream became completely cremated that it tasted thinned and watered down, even though I don't think any water was added to it. We could have tasted the same thing if we ordered 3 scoops and let them melt... that's what it tasted like. Sigh. It was expensive thin watery shake. Suggestion to the owner/manager: - Train the employees to not over-blend shakes because that diminishes the quality and flavor of the shake. - Also remind them to keep up their attitude, even when the store is busy because they represent the brand. Studies (conducted by me & my bf) show it's nearly impossible to stroll along a pretty suburban street in 80° weather without stopping for a cold treat. A Dole Whip sign beckoned us into Campbell Creamery, & although we didn't end up getting that specific item, we ordered a Piña Colada shake which contained Dole Pineapple Soft Serve. Much to our delight, the taste leaned towards more coconutty than piña. And because god forbid we only have one high-calorie dessert, we ordered an Orange Fanta-stic shake which was just as creamy & delicious. It needed another splash of orange soda but overall, it was one of the better orange creamsicle-type drinks we've had. I've been to this location a couple times now and we usually have a good experience. We swung by this afternoon and it wasn't a good one. The young female employees (maybe 16-18 years old) weren't very friendly when we entered and didn't seem happy to be working. My husband is gluten free and he asked which flavors were GF. One of the employees said that all of the flavors are except ones with cookies in them. I got lavender. He went with vanilla to be safe, but then he noticed that there were chunks of other ice cream with cookies in his scoop. This points to them not cleaning the scoopers very well in between customers. He was so worried about contamination that he didn't even eat his ice cream and we ended up throwing away. We debated going back in to ask for a different one, but based on their attitude - we didn't take the risk. Never coming back to this place!! There was gum stuck on waffle cone from the paper cover!! That is a health hazard not sure how this place passes their inspection. The staff was also extremely rude. This was literally the best consistency of ice cream I've had in a LONG time. We stopped by Campbell Creamery after finding it on Yelp and thought it had an uncanny similarity to Willow Glen. We entered the shop and took our time browsing the flavors they had to offer (my favorite part of being in an ice cream shop) and settled on a scoop of cookie dough to share. The single scoop was huge! The chocolate chunks in there were seriously good quality chocolate, and as a picky cookie dough lover, those were pretty good too. The showstopper here for me was the consistency, it was sooo creamy and everything ice cream should be. Also, color changing spoons? Great for the little ones if you have any, but it kept me entertained too. The shop itself is a decent size, but limited seating indoors - there's plenty of outdoor seating however. A variety of size options, we picked a kiddie size vanilla ice cream and a small soft serve with vanilla and chocolate. The ice cream was great but the soft serve was truly amazing! Why would you have 3 sizes all with different prices on the yogurt? I ordered a small, my husband ordered a regular, when we received the yogurt on a cone, his looked a tiny bit bigger but really small. When they rang me up, the price was for a regular, I corrected the cashier and her comment was it's the standard price? I did point out then why do you have three prices up there? I have only tried their pineapple flavor and it's the perfect amount of sweetness with the perfect hint of pineapple. You can get a small cup or just get a larger cup to go and keep it in your freezer for later :) Depending which day/time you come here it can be busy but the line moves fairly quick.
