We had a wonderful experience with the Alburquerque Camping World Service Department. We discovered a leaking hydraulic cylinder in the slideout of our RV on Saturday morning as we were getting ready to leave Alburquerque. The service department was able to help us locate the cylinder and have it overnighted so that we could get it fixed and back on the road. First time owner of a camper and wanted to purchase a Washer/Dryer combination. My partner and I found the perfect one which had to be ordered at this location. Expectations were given on delivery dates and times - to which I explained I will purchase and my partner will retrieve the item because I travel for work. The item came in as discussed. My partner went to pick up the item with a receipt and a Veteran ID card that was mine. He was turned away. The manager at this location would not give my partner the purchased (in full) item as was previously discussed by two other employees which was satisfactory regarding the scenario that would take place once the item is to be delivered. Instead they would rather refund $1,600 sale, and disappoint a future - repeat customer. The policy in place at this Camping World location was never discussed, nor told to me at the time of purchase to include referred or implied by none of the employees at this location. We had the almost identical experience as Kevin from Grapevine, Tx. My nephew was not allowed to pick up a toilet for our travel trailer that was ordered and paid for. Since we live 2 hours away from the Camping World location we were told that our designated person could pick up the item for us. Not the case. Put 5k down on a class A coach. Salesperson had no clue how anything works on the coach and told us as first time buyers, we would not need a 3rd party inspection and sold us the Gold customer package without our approval, assuring us they would fix any deficiencies. We asked them to fix the obvious items we noticed. 3 weeks later they called and said it was ready and a technician showed us the operation of the coach controls. (Scott) Testing the air conditioner, only the front one would cool. the Salespeople told us this was normal. we objected and they replaced the rear air conditioner and it still did not blow cold air. The salespeople still pushing us to buy stating it was operating normally. This was not even near accurate. Also found they did not disclose at the beginning that it was a consignment coach. Do not believe the sales staff to be honest and the technical staff (with the exception of Scott) to be sub par. We did not purchase the coach and would not do business with them ever again. My wife has gotten a fifth wheel from her dad due to some circumstances he couldn't operate it anymore. We decided to sell it because we didn't need it. It's been a nightmare since bringing it here we get initial report slides don't work they were working the morning we brought it to them. They say you can come and show us so I come waited for almost 2 hours till they could hook it up just so I could show the slides worked which they seemed astonished they opened at that point. Took my horse trailer in for bearing pack and brake check. They recommended replacing all four brake assemblies. I am fine with that but the parts markup was ridiculous! $400 each for backing plates and brakes per wheel! should have been less than half that. They weren't willing to come down on parts price. Hate to have to do this but unfortunately here I am. After having a great experience assisting my elderly neighbor in finding and negotiating the deal on the RV that suited his needs. When he went back to close the deal and take his trade in they went back on the deal with a variety of excuses and wouldn't allow anyone to be in the final finance with him, further shows they intended to take advantage of an elderly Veteran. Do yourself a favor and go to Albuquerque RV that is right next door to Camping World. I normally try to not post negative reviews but feel CW should be aware of this. I will most likely remove it if I get a genuine response from the dealership that they have educated the sales guy. I went into Camping World Albuquerque on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at approximately 3:30 to get a sewer hose that would fit my new RV. I took a picture of my capped off sewer line so they would know just what I needed. The guy in the sales/shopping part of CW told me that they don't make connections for those kind of sewer lines anymore. I told him that was weird because our RV was a brand new one so why would the manufacturer build an RV with a sewer line that is obsolete and you can't purchase sewer hoses for? I then asked to speak with someone in the service department because in all reality, I thought maybe he was new and didn't know what he was talking about. He told me "he's been doing this for 15 years and they stopped making those kind of connections 15 years ago". I walked away confused and defeated, called my husband who was waiting in our truck and told him what the guy said and by the time I got back to the truck, my husband was on the line with Victor at Albuquerque RV, which is right next door to Camping World. Victor laughed and told my husband that's not true and to come over and they will help us. When I showed Victor the picture he knew exactly what I needed. Our system is a cam-lock system like Lippert and not like industry standard types like Camco/Rhino hoses with the teeth. He even went a step further and talked to his service rep and the SR told him the Riverstone usually includes the hose system in a tube like cabinet under the trailer in the back on the utilities side. Sure enough, Victor found it, unlocked it and there were our hoses. We are newbies with this kind of a trailer and our orientation from the dealership (Coach's RV Nation in Trenton, OH) was useless and I couldn't find anything in the online manual that talked about the sewer hoses or the secret cabinet under the rig. I was so grateful for Victor and his Service Reps help. They went above and beyond to help us. Hopefully someone in management sees this review and can educate this know-it-all before they loose more customers. I mean, this guy just wanted me gone & offered not help. I bought a used RV in June. They are SUPPOSED to replace the mattresses. No mattress in it. So, they tried to cram one in that didn't fit. I declined that and they got huffy with me because they couldn't resell the oversize mattress they'd crammed into the space and because they would have to special order one. It took 4 phone calls before I finally spoke to someone who would order it. Then came the license plate fiasco. The engine light went on exactly 2 days after I signed the papers. Then the batteries for the coach went out. So much for selling quality RVS. TWO MONTHS AND TWO TEMPORARY TAGS LATER I still DON'T have license plates. When I called for the 4th time, I was told "oh, someone called you the other day to verify your address." NO ONE had called. They HAVE both my shipping and mailing addresses. Long and honest review with proof! Keystone and Camping world are both the worse companies I have ever dealt with in my life! Explained how my home would be parked and not able to bring in if repairs needed, was told "thats ok we have a mobile tech", LIE#1.. I pointed out issues on walk thru that needed repaired on so called "NEW" unit and was told they were fixed, LIE#2, I paid near a grand for delivery and the driver could not even get it done, the neighbor came and did it in 5 minutes.. after 3 hours of waiting on their driver to attempt parking it.. Been trying to get countless issues fixed and no response or no help, I have been taking cold showers because the water pump was not adjusted before delivery now I have to pay 300plus$ of my own money, Oven nob stays stuck on on position and you have to force it back into place, I could go on and on! Absolutely fantastic store, from the moment I walked in I was greeted and asked if I needed any help! Their service department took of my needs and answered all of my questions. I also enjoyed browsing around their store, so many different things to look at. Before I knew it I had a cart full of items. Unbelievable crappy customer service here. Walked in to do a return with bag in hand and 4, count them FOUR employees at the front desk all chit-chatting. No greeting or asking if I needed help, too busy amongst themselves. So I made a left and walked to the parts and sales area looking for a cashier. After randomly walking around with sales people all over and nobody asking if I needed help, I walked back to the front counter at the door and had to break up their party to ask where to go for a return. A very nice young man walked me to the other side and apologized, saying he doesn't work in this area but showed me where to go anyway. I made the return and the young lady was very nice. Again, another 4 employees just standing around talking, and there were absolutely NO customers inside! I've never seen that before, and I've been to several dozen stores that are usually packed with customers. If I could give this place 0 stars I would, but it's not an option. My grandparents recently were trying to purchase a used camping trailer. They had a budget and ideas of what they wanted. The two sales men helping them, were rude, pushy, and unprofessional. They showed a camper filled with VISIBLE RAT feces, EVERYWHERE. Then jokingly the sales person says oh we have this one for sale and pointed to a horse trailer. It was 5:15 pm, they were closing in 45 minutes. There were no other customers, why? Read your other reviews and you will figure it out. I spotted a scooter and proceeded to go check out a camper in the showroom . My daughter was still at the desk, why? They needed her license. Ok I get that. It was also to get a salesman. I get that as well. I went into the first camper, I expected my daughter to follow me. I liked what I saw, came out and told my daughter I liked it but I don't want a brand new one. Depreciation as soon as you drive it off the lot. Instead of my daughter replying to me it was a salesman starting to ask questions. What are you looking for? Class A, C etc . We need to step into my office. STOP! RED FLAG! Icky feeling We both told him we were not interested and just wanted to look around ourselves. We have been researching RVs but until I actually go into one will I know what will best fit us. A salesman cannot help me with that. We sure didn't want to waste our valuable half hour that we could look in an office with a clearly hungry appetite for a sale. I should have trusted the bad reviews. The day we picked it up we stayed at a campsite to try it out and we were up all night with solar panel alarms going off. Took it in next day and they kept it for 3 months. Went today to pick it up and they "fixed" the wrong part so they kept it again and it will probably be another 3 months before getting it back. So we've been paying for storage, insurance and financing for 3 months on something we don't have and cannot use. We bought new to not have to deal with any issues but it's been a terrible experience. Don't waste your time and money here. Once they get you out the door they don't care. read more

We received a call from the company to come get our RV work was complete, however it won't come out of reverse!! My father has stored his 5th Wheel here for the last 6 years. Last year, he had mentioned to them at some point he would maybe sell it, but not anytime soon. A month ago, my dad went to go pick it up to take it on a trip. Our camper has been filled with thousands of dollars of camping gear including flashlights, chairs, lanterns, silverware, much it in great shape of brand new. When he went to pick up the camper he came to find all of his belongings missing and the inside of the camper had sighs saying it had been cleaned for staging. The employees removed thousands of dollars of camping without notifying him or even asking if he wanted to pick them up. Sounds to me like either insane ignorance or employees cleaned it out and sold or stole the gear for personal gain. Unacceptable by any kind of establishment. read more

August 30th we purchased a brand new RV and it had a huge chunk out of the bathroom counter before we bought it. Our salesperson Randy Chavez assured us it would be taken care of. The RV is delivered two days later and the huge chunk is still missing. Randy then informs us we need to make a claim with Jayco to have it replaced under warranty, but it will be no problem. So we tell him to go ahead and file the claim now, even though this issue did not happen while we owned the RV. Randy says it will take 7-10 days to get the new counter in and replace it. We're planning on leaving the state soon, but we agree we can wait to have this done. Two weeks later, we follow up with Randy. No response. Now TWENTY-ONE DAYS after the claim, we follow up again, and he finally says the counter is backordered by months, and-- surprise-- the repair must be done at the store it is ordered at. We do not live in New Mexico, and we have no plans to be back. Now we have a $27k+ brand new trailer with a bathroom counter top with a huge chunk out of it (it just ripped a brand new pair of pants it's so sharp), shitty customer service, and no idea if or when we can have it replaced. The bad reviews on Camping World are true-- they are sweet to make the sale, but then you're worthless to them. Buyer beware: you do not want to deal with Camping World. Look elsewhere. read more

Regret and disappointment! Online prices at Camping World Albuquerque are immensely lower than the prices you are offered on location. They finally agreed to a $19.5k offer. You can imagine my surprise when I received the bank note identifying total purchase at $24.5k. Dealer's response was that they had explained additional charges in finance, which was not the case. Went to Corporate because dealer didn't budge a single penny in refunds for "additional services" that I never asked for nor wanted. Ended up settling for half refund of the additional $5k costs because I don't have time to waste with people that have no integrity. read more

My experience at Camping World of Albuquerque is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. My first red flag was when I asked for a purchase price breakdown on two units. My salesman (Carlos) took our info the to the Sales Manager (Craig). When Carlos came back he handed me one estimate (the more expensive unit of the two I was looking at) and told me Craig said he was busy and that if I wanted to see the total cost and payment breakdown I would have to commit to buying the camper by putting down a $500 deposit to hold the camper. Craig was basically stating that the cheap camper I was looking at wasn't worth his time and that if I wanted to know what I was going to pay on the camper I would have to pay the deposit to see it. They literally drew a line on a piece of paper and asked me to sign on it so Craig knew I meant business. I was livid and insisted on speaking to someone about it. Will, with Finance came in to speak with me and insisted that this shouldn't be the process but thanked me for agreeing to pay the deposit and stated I would be better taken care of after this issue. It should be pointed out that Camping World sells their used units as-is. I was comfortable with that condition of sale, I just wanted to see their inspection reports on it so we could know what was going to need to be fixed on it. Camping World denied the very existence of this or anything remotely resembling an inspection. The day I went to take delivery of my camper it was pointed out to me on my walkthrough/tutorial by maintenance that the power converter on the unit was broken and that it only worked on battery power or while it's plugged into a car via the 7 pin. This was never pointed out to me before I agreed to purchase the unit. In the showroom when I first saw the unit the shoreline was out and tucked under the unit to make it look like it was plugged in but they had it running in a new battery the whole time. When I brought this issue up to my sales team at first all I heard was their "as is" drumbeat. Then after much deliberation they agreed to cut the cost of retail and install in half. Finally they agreed to give me a converter for free so I could install it myself. After the converter issue, I began to insist to see an inspection report on the unit. I tried asking for the Service Manager, but the service clerk desk got a call and they then directed me to the Sales Manager's (Josh) office. Josh was extremely condescending to me and stated that there isn't any inspection report and that he's already losing money on the camper so if I wanted my deposit back I could have it. "Buy it and shut up or ask for your deposit back". That's the message that was given to me by Josh the Sales Manager. I find it very difficult to believe that no paper trail exists on this camper and that they would accept the trade in or list it for sale without documenting the condition of the unit. Once I agreed to purchase. Steven in Finance showed me an interest rate that was unacceptable. After stating that I wasn't comfortable with the rate on the loan Steven, without querying another site or calling anyone, simply clicked on another open tab on his browser and showed me an interest rate that was 2 points lower. In other words he deliberately showed me a higher rate first. That was the final straw for me and I backed out. It appears to me that Camping World's management across all departments are predatory. They abuse consumers and force their sales associates to be the middleman and take the punches to shield themselves from angry/unassuming consumers. I wasn't even introduced to a sales manager until several hours and my third day into my negotiations with the store. Never do business with Camping World. No matter what they tell you they do not have your best interest in mind and they will pressure you and exploit you. Well it is now 7/11/2022 and tomorrow I will be picking up my RV from Camping World. I dropped it off on January 19th and tomorrow it will have been unusable to me for 173 days. Let that sink in for a second. How is it even possible that it would take so long to fix my RV? It's almost impossible to wrap my head around that. I'm not sure if I mentioned that a $900 Scooter of mine is missing. All compartments were LOCKED when I dropped it off, so why was every compartment unlocked when I went to Camping World to check on the status several weeks ago. Within minutes they produced a paper that I had initialed stating that they were not responsible for any theft of personal property. So basically they were telling me and you if you're inclinded to trust them with your RV, it's alright if they don't provide basic security to protect what you have worked so hard to get. You can bet that I will provide additional updates if tomorrow takes a turn for the worst. Again I will plead with anyone reading this to use extreme caution if you remotely consider this business.
