Regret and disappointment! Online prices at Camping World Albuquerque are immensely lower than the prices you are offered on location. They finally agreed to a $19.5k offer. You can imagine my surprise when I received the bank note identifying total purchase at $24.5k. Dealer's response was that they had explained additional charges in finance, which was not the case. Went to Corporate because dealer didn't budge a single penny in refunds for "additional services" that I never asked for nor wanted. Ended up settling for half refund of the additional $5k costs because I don't have time to waste with people that have no integrity. read more

My experience at Camping World of Albuquerque is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. My first red flag was when I asked for a purchase price breakdown on two units. My salesman (Carlos) took our info the to the Sales Manager (Craig). When Carlos came back he handed me one estimate (the more expensive unit of the two I was looking at) and told me Craig said he was busy and that if I wanted to see the total cost and payment breakdown I would have to commit to buying the camper by putting down a $500 deposit to hold the camper. Craig was basically stating that the cheap camper I was looking at wasn't worth his time and that if I wanted to know what I was going to pay on the camper I would have to pay the deposit to see it. They literally drew a line on a piece of paper and asked me to sign on it so Craig knew I meant business. I was livid and insisted on speaking to someone about it. Will, with Finance came in to speak with me and insisted that this shouldn't be the process but thanked me for agreeing to pay the deposit and stated I would be better taken care of after this issue. It should be pointed out that Camping World sells their used units as-is. I was comfortable with that condition of sale, I just wanted to see their inspection reports on it so we could know what was going to need to be fixed on it. Camping World denied the very existence of this or anything remotely resembling an inspection. The day I went to take delivery of my camper it was pointed out to me on my walkthrough/tutorial by maintenance that the power converter on the unit was broken and that it only worked on battery power or while it's plugged into a car via the 7 pin. This was never pointed out to me before I agreed to purchase the unit. In the showroom when I first saw the unit the shoreline was out and tucked under the unit to make it look like it was plugged in but they had it running in a new battery the whole time. When I brought this issue up to my sales team at first all I heard was their "as is" drumbeat. Then after much deliberation they agreed to cut the cost of retail and install in half. Finally they agreed to give me a converter for free so I could install it myself. After the converter issue, I began to insist to see an inspection report on the unit. I tried asking for the Service Manager, but the service clerk desk got a call and they then directed me to the Sales Manager's (Josh) office. Josh was extremely condescending to me and stated that there isn't any inspection report and that he's already losing money on the camper so if I wanted my deposit back I could have it. "Buy it and shut up or ask for your deposit back". That's the message that was given to me by Josh the Sales Manager. I find it very difficult to believe that no paper trail exists on this camper and that they would accept the trade in or list it for sale without documenting the condition of the unit. Once I agreed to purchase. Steven in Finance showed me an interest rate that was unacceptable. After stating that I wasn't comfortable with the rate on the loan Steven, without querying another site or calling anyone, simply clicked on another open tab on his browser and showed me an interest rate that was 2 points lower. In other words he deliberately showed me a higher rate first. That was the final straw for me and I backed out. It appears to me that Camping World's management across all departments are predatory. They abuse consumers and force their sales associates to be the middleman and take the punches to shield themselves from angry/unassuming consumers. I wasn't even introduced to a sales manager until several hours and my third day into my negotiations with the store. Never do business with Camping World. No matter what they tell you they do not have your best interest in mind and they will pressure you and exploit you. Well it is now 7/11/2022 and tomorrow I will be picking up my RV from Camping World. I dropped it off on January 19th and tomorrow it will have been unusable to me for 173 days. Let that sink in for a second. How is it even possible that it would take so long to fix my RV? It's almost impossible to wrap my head around that. I'm not sure if I mentioned that a $900 Scooter of mine is missing. All compartments were LOCKED when I dropped it off, so why was every compartment unlocked when I went to Camping World to check on the status several weeks ago. Within minutes they produced a paper that I had initialed stating that they were not responsible for any theft of personal property. So basically they were telling me and you if you're inclinded to trust them with your RV, it's alright if they don't provide basic security to protect what you have worked so hard to get. You can bet that I will provide additional updates if tomorrow takes a turn for the worst. Again I will plead with anyone reading this to use extreme caution if you remotely consider this business. DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT! Use this Camping World location for the servicing of your RV to be honest I wouldn't buy an RV from them either. I would highly suggest passing them up and looking for a more reputable RV service provider to complete your repairs. Their service support team is very unorganized, lacks professionalism and has zero clue about what it takes to repair an RV. All they are doing is being a parrot and regurgitating what their technicians are telling them, they would probably have happier customers if they just let the technicians talk to their customers, or seek customer service support through a temp agency. In addition, to their customer service support team lacking the above mentioned skills, they like to slip extra charges on your bill (so double check your bill if you decide to try them out). They will charge you to diagnose the issue and when you ask them to fix it they do not put those fees towards the labor costs. Any auto/RV service provider I have ever gone to, always puts the diagnostic fees towards the labor fees if you have them make the repairs. I had problems with them since the day I bought my RV (strike 1!), then about a year and a half ago I took it in for warranty repairs they had my unit for 9 months (strike 2!) this time I took it in for two very minor repairs and they had it for 2 months! Review has been deleted from google. Worst experience ever. Bought our camper new from Camping World In Lubbock looking to trade and this happened. When we met with Phil, prior to him obtaining numbers we had discussed how we thought Brittany's credit score was not very high so we weren't sure what the numbers would come out to. After he returned from getting numbers he did not disclose what her actual credit score was. (He only ever showed us his "price sheet" for the campers on the lot). He only said since Brittany's credit score was so low they couldn't get much for the camper we originally wanted so he showed us the breakdown for our second choice, but still was not able to get much. He showed us the number breakdown and explained because of the combination of her low credit score, depreciation in value for the trade in of our camper and the price of the camper we want we would have to either have a large amount down or find a more expensive camper to "hide" lost revenue. They said they could only give us $26000 for our camper as trade in. He then quickly just passed us over to Glenn. Glenn was a great help and was actually able to give us numbers quickly and was very informative. Here are the numbers he gave us. I came to this location to get some help on my RV. There were strange sounds on my roof and I was afraid something came lose in the high winds while driving from California. The manager was AMAZINGLY helpful and got on my roof and inspected it completely. He found that everything look great but that the tv antenna was lose. He tightened and then let me know that the roof looked good but to make sure to have the seals checked next year so that everything remains water tight, The peace of Mind he gave me was fantastic and unexpected. I thought I would have to pay for the service but nope, he did it out of the kindness of his heart. This old fashioned kind of service is refreshing and that is why I trust Camping World! read more

Disappointment sums it up. I will not be going back to this location in Albuquerque. We bought a 2023 Jayco pinnacle from KC. Felt pressured but we wanted it so we got it. We had a washer and dryer added to the price and had the service department install it. That was a big mistake, should have done it myself. So we went on a short day trip, got home, opened the camper and the washer and dryer were sitting on the floor. The unit was never anchored to anything. Very shoddy workmanship!!! Mind you, this was a brand new unit. So I call the shop and get the run around and they said they will discuss it. Disappointment isn't even a strong enough word. Now the cabinet it was in is ruined and the vanity cabinet is also scratched. If you're looking for an rv, don't go here. You'll regret dealing with them same as me. Horrible experience with this company. They gave our personal information out to a third party and our camper was towed to camping world lot without our permission. Our motorhome was greatly damaged in the process because they put a chain through the front grill and not to the frame. They refuse to pay for the damages. Markus Malone is a wealthy man and should take care of any damages that are caused by his employees on his property instead of brushing it off like it never happened. Awful costumer service!! This really is a let down because I've always had great experiences with other Camping World location's. My husband and I put a deposit down on a camper that we would go through with ONLY if we both got approved on the loan .... We didn't. I would have been approved if I had a co-signer. Our salesman, Soren, informed me of this and I told him we'd no longer like to proceed and requested our deposit back. He then completely ignored my emails and calls and would not initiate my refund. For five days, their employees at this location ignored our calls, hung up on us, and would not call us or email us back, even the manager! They continued to send my information to banks in attempt to find a bank that would approve me without a co-signer even after we said we didn't want to continue .... Dropping my credit score from 801 to 745 from their 5 HARD PULLS on my credit. Finally after 5 full days and opening a cooperate case, our refund has been initiated. Truly disgusted with everyone there. I understand salesmen try to make sales .... But these guys are just bizzare the way they go about it.... Telling us they are losing so much money by selling to us .... But then trying to keep our deposit when we decide not to buy.... Never ever go to this location!!!!!! read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Buyers beware!We purchased a brand new jayco travel trailer from camping world and our first time taking it out we had so many issues. A water leak, half of the electrical didn't work, speakers stopped working and a few other issues. We had to cut our trip short since we were unable to use it. Contacted camping world and they told us to schedule a time to bring it in. Took it in early June and here we are middle of July with no answers and no travel trailer. We had several trips planned that had to be canceled. Camping world has the worst, I mean, the worst customer service. Impossible to get ahold of anyone and once you do they give you the run around. We are beyond frustrated. We even tried contacting the corporate office and they were able to do nothing for us. We were sold a lemon. So here we are making payments on something that doesn't work and that we don't even have. The lack of professionalism, efficiency and empathy displayed by camping world is deeply concerning. Would give this place zero stars if I was able. HORRIBLE customer service. Do not expect any sort of greeting when you enter - the front desk employee looked disgusted the entire time. We were purchasing basic supplies and there was a line and the cashier had no sense of urgency, did not know how to properly use the computerized cash register, and did not call for back up. We left our items and went to speak with a manager. As we approached the front desk, there were 5 employees standing around chatting. We asked to speak with a manager and was told, "That depends." I am so disappointed. Due to the location they obviously have a monopoly in the area, which allows such disregard for customer service. Very pushy sales people. My family and I went to Camping world just to look at Rv's. When we went inside, we told the sales person that we weren't looking to buy yet. Since we have never been in a camper, we just wanted to look for something that was right for my family. I let the sales person, I don't remember his name, Will or Phil, that what I was looking for. He showed me Rv's that I was not looking for. I kept telling him that I needed something bigger. He kept saying that he doesn't think that they have the rv's I was looking for. When he was taking us to the rv's, he didn't even bother explaining anything about the rv. He just kept quiet when we would look around and asked if I liked it and if I wanted him to get the numbers on it. He was very pushy and even seemed aggressive when he said "well it's summer time and we are the number one best Rv dealer in Albuquerque and the rv's aren't going to be here very long". I told him that's fine, I'm not looking to buy today. He kept insisting to pull my credit score when I kept telling him I'm not ready to buy. When we went back inside, someone else came up to us and asked if the sales person showed us what we were looking for and we said no. They told me that they do have what I was looking for. The sales guy didn't bother asking anyone else if they had the rv I wanted to look at. Sales person seemed uninterested and just wanted to make a quick sale. We only had our RV a couple months so everything was left where we first placed them. Jackets, extension chords, and rv chords are still yet to be found. Went in to look at 2022 closeouts. This would have been our 4th RV so we are not new to the process. To start, the front desk women were unprofessional, talking about how they went out the night before drinking, using some pretty colorful language that could easily be heard 10+ft away. This went on for several minutes as we waited or a salesperson to assist us. Then, the salesperson tried to pull a hard & fast sell by repeatedly asking what payments we would wanted despite being told repeatedly that we had a firm budget of 30-35k. Oldest sales trick in the book and was fooling no one. Salesperson then became annoyed and stated " Well I need to know what payments you are looking for so I can find a unit that fits". Um no, you will show me what I WANT to see. We then proceeded to list the 5 units that were listed on their website by name that we wanted to see only to be told 2 were in detail. Of course we were taken to the new ones first and not the used units. We pushed on and eventually after 2.5 hours, got to see the 2 units that were in detail. Salesperson was also forceful in stating 3 times that a minimum down payment of 10% on any unit would be required by the bank. HA! Tried to tell us that if it was a used unit, the bank would required 10-15% down. Maybe so depending on how old the unit is however, banks go by years to assign "Used" or "New" status. None of the models we wanted to look at were older than 2020 so per several credit unions in Albuquerque, they are considered "New". Not many banks will require a down payment on a new unit with a credit score greater than 800, no significant credit debt and sufficient yearly income. We got an eye roll when we pointed that out. Guess we would be affecting the commission without a down payment LOL As a consumer, its great to know we knew more than the salesperson and weren't fooled by the pressure tactics that were deployed. We had read the reviews prior to visiting the dealership and have to say, the negative ones are pretty spot on. We will be going out of state for our next unit if we choose to do business with Camping World. Buyer beware of sketchy sales practices at this Camping World dealership in Albuquerque, NM!!!! One star because our sales guy was super nice and helpful however- Camping world ABQ was fantastic UNTIL we were finished with our paperwork then no phone calls returned, no emails returned- nothing! We are trying to cancel a package and they kept saying one of them could not be cancelled even though there is no way they applied the "protective care" to our RV since we signed up for it while in closing (for 3 hours) the keys were in our pocket and when we left the service department was closed. We showed up and had to wait two hours for the finance guy to tell us he would reach out to the GM on Monday (which he didn't). This is an extra $3000 that they get for doing absolutely NOTHING! I would never buy another trailer from them and have had multiple people say they have the same complaint. Once you purchase they no longer care! If they are willing to slide something like that in then what else are they willing to do. It was dirty when we picked it up, even though they supposedly cleaned it, the guy who did the walk through with us kept showing "the woman" the kitchen and mirror in the bathroom. I bought a camper cover back in Sept. 2020 and it started tearing shortly after the 1st wind storm, then another and then another that was simply covering the power jack. They are NOT ashamed of their prices, but should be ashamed of their quality. Next time I buy a cover, I'll spend the extra for quality, but NOT at camping world. The service department, service department manager and Craig, the sales manager are the absolute worst I've ever dealt with in any customer service aspect. I was treated like a customer at a Burger King drive-up complaining about onions on my burger. After getting told I was liar in the service department by the MANAGER, the sales manager came over and made things even worse. Craig (sales manager) comes over to me with no introduction, no name tag, dirty jeans, wearing sneakers looking like he just rolled out of bed. I didn't even know he was an employee until I asked him who he was. I initially thought he was just a customer sticking his nose in my business. He continued to be unhelpful and inept at customer service. I didn't want to leave without the part as I needed it this week so I asked the, if I could just forget the warranty claim on the part and just buy it outright from them and incur the loss. They got very upset about this and it took them 10minuted to decide to help me with this or not. After another 10 minutes of them fumbling though the stock room, the sales manager brings the part out and rings me up for $150 for the part. As I was paying Craig (THE SALES MANAGER!) loomed over my shoulder the entire time I paid for the cable and then proceeded to kick me out of the store afterwards! I just bought a $40k RV and the sales manager told me not to come back in! Customer service is dead here.....as pathetic as I've ever seen. Avoid this place lie the plague. If you do buy from them, make sure you NEVER have to deal with the service department. Avoid warranties and anything that makes yo go back to the service department. I was told that I would be "priority" since I bought from CW. Priority is 3-4 weeks to get your RV into the place for them to look at. Not to mention the wait for "parts" and the wait in line if and when they do come in. Be careful with the $150 an hour charge. screw 4 screws in....1hour......overcharging and breaking things while they do it. I wish I could go back in time and never step foot in Camping World. This is the worst shopping experience AFTER THE SALE that I've ever had. read more

We were delighted with our first experience with the Service Dept. Bob, service contact, was professional and thorough and our repair was made in the commitment time and they allowed our windshield to be replaced by a 3rd party in their bay after high winds in the area prevented the other company from installing it at the rv park - that's great service. We returned a couple of weeks later after a tow system failure and the Parts department identified what parts were needed and helped us with installation on a Sunday. Absolutely top notch. read more

We were traveling through New Mexico in our RV and had battery issues. In need of 2 rv batteries, we went to camping world for help with purchase and install. We arrived just as they opened on a Saturday morning and we're greeted by 2 employees that were not working. They told us we would have to wait until the retail shop opened to purchase a battery and they didn't know if they could do an install the same day, as they only did drop off and pick ups. We had such an unfavorable experience with the maintenance agreements they sold me last December, 2018, that I wrote pretty negative YELP review. I'm so used to giving really bad reviews for Camping World but miracles do seen to happen. We our on a 6 month RV trip and we've had our fair share CW stops. This one has been the best to date. Their parts department is nicely laid out. Found everything I needed. Still no help from the staff. Several past right by me and never once asked if they could help. I have come to expect this type of service from CW. They must teach their employees that RVers don't need customer service or something. They called me five different times stating it is ready for me to pick it up, when I drive over twenty miles one way they didn't do all the repairs and the one repair they performed was not done correctly and was poorly done. We bought our camper from Camping World Albuquerque back in March of 2019. My biggest complaint is the service department. We took our camper in for minor issues that are under warranty (some staples popping out of paneling, seals in shower and a recalled stove). We were told it would take about ONE WEEK by our service advisor. After many many phone calls from myself and my husband over the course of 8 weeks, because nobody called to update us ever, we got our camper back 2 MONTHS later. We were always told they were waiting on parts. Then the wrong part came in on the stove, so we were waiting again. Several times we called and they didn't know who we were and/or could not locate our camper/tech. You would think a simple computer search could pull that all up, but what do I know. Anyhow, two cancelled camping trips later, camper is back, thankfully because we had a trip planned. This was Thursday. We quickly loaded it up for a wedding we were heading to the next day (Oct 25th) for the weekend and took off. BIGGEST MISTAKE ever leaving their parking lot without checking our tanks. Our BLACK tank was reading 2/3 full and we didn't know, because we had cleaned it out as we always do after camping trips. Camping World had other plans. Their service techs used the bathroom in our camper and left their pee and crap IN OUR TANKS. Dried urine in the toilet bowl and on the seat, and poo dried up inside as well. Now I know this was not an oversight on my part. After every camping trip we thoroughly clean our our toilet and tank and spray it out. Sweep, mop and wipe everything down. Sheets cleaned, etc. so we can jump in and go next time. WHY did I get my camper back looking like someone took it out and borrowed it for the weekend? Because now, I feel like it was taken out for a hunting trip while we sat around cancelling our own vacations because they can't tell us where our camper even is. Returned like I never cleaned it at all. I'm totally disgusted and pissed off. I would like to know camping world protocols when customers have their campers serviced. Like car service departments, there should be plastic put on the floor to keep down dirt, mud tracks. Our camper floor was very dirty, wet shoe tracks throughout. I am just blown away that they would have our camper for this long, and it is returned to us in this condition. Is this normal?? We weren't even hooking up to water this last trip of the season because of freezing temps. So even more of an issue. Albuquerque location is terrible for service! My pop up camper needed 2 lift cables replaced, I turned it in June 27th with the replacement cables I ordered from Coleman pop up parts online. After a week, I called back after not hearing anything, was told it hadn't been looked at. Family emergency took me away for another week and a half, didn't hear anything from camping world. I called them when I got back, was told I had a new agent as my rep, and they wanted to review everything from scratch as if they hadn't ever heard of my case. Another week went by, I called again, was told my case was passed to another person who went over everything again. They said it was looked at we agreed on overall price and items to be fixed. Another week, no words so I called again and was passed to another rep who said the whole lift assembly and motor should be replaced now. This was different from what I thought was already assessed. It was also surprising because the motor was only 1 year old. I told them to confirm the motor needed replacement . After another few days with no info from them, i called and confirmed they still hadn't started work on it . This was now into mid august. I told them to cancel everything and picked it up to take it somewhere else . It's the process, not the people . The individuals were all nice but the process doesn't value communication with the customer. Crazy. read more

Came in to shop for a 50 amp generator. Had a few questions. The manager couldn't be pulled away from gossiping with 2 other men to help us. Last time we were here couldn't get help either. Need the owners of this company to do an in-service so these employees can learn how to treat customers we read the reviews of this place but thought it couldn't be that bad so decided we would try it anyway....thanks for no help. While on our RV roadtrip, our furnace died. It god very cold last night. We happened to be near the only camping world in alburguergue. The service team took us in right away and had us fixed up in a short time. I shopped the retail store while we waited. The staff was very friendly. I had several associates ask of they could help me. The manager (I believe) will, was great to chat with. read more

All I can say about the service at this Camping World is WOW!!! We consistently have had problems with our air conditioners not cooling the coach. A month ago we had both a/c's serviced at CW in New Braunsfels, TX. 3 days ago the lights in the bathroom didn't come on. After checking the fuse box, we discovered a few fuses had broken off. This morning, we just took a chance and took our coach in to have them check out the fuse box and re-service the rear air conditioner. Simon checked us in and Pat, the RV Tech, kept us informed throughout the day, as to what was going on. Pat actually repaired both a/c's, replaced 6 fuses, and repaired the wiring in the light fixture that popped the fuse. The cost was significantly discounted because of New Braunsfel's mistake. We are so happy we brought our rig in this morning. Tomorrow we'll be back on the road to continue our trip. Thank you Simon and Pat. If I could give these folks 10 stars I definitely would. read more

Here's a fun update: they eventually replaced the axle and put on two new tires. The tires were cheap $50.00 tires made in China. They were not the same load rating or quality as the original equipment. Guess. What? I had a blowout. Damaged the rim beyond repair. Fortunately no one was injured. Still wish we had negative stars to give this horrific ripoff of a place. I've been going through their paperwork to try to find more of their hidden fees. GAP insurance for $1500 that we specifically signed a waiver not needing. Paint protection for almost $2000, tire & wheel protection for over $1500 roadside assistance for $1000 AND travel assistance for another $1000. WE ASKED FOR NONE OF THIS. There's $7000 they stole. Added on to making the trailer $8,000 MORE than the agreed upon price is how we got swindled for over $15,000. I say over because after having this trailer for a month, I can quickly see how unbelievably cheap it was made. It's disgusting. read more

We have been customers at this place for over ten years. Won't be back... ever... again... Called our original salesman as we were ready to buy another RV... found one on the website we liked...asked for details and when we could go meet with him. He... never... called.. Went to the dealership, no one helped us!!! We were ready to buy!! We had to go find someone for information on the fifth wheel we wanted. All the sales people we sitting in an office chatting. When we ask for help one of them handed us a brochure and kept on talking to his buddies. So we went next door to Albuquerque RV and got a beautiful fifth wheel, and we were treated like family!! Thanks for nothing Abq Camping World, Shanon and company, you've just lost some very loyal customers.. and by the way... don't trust the service department either! They don't know how to fix a darn thing! Zero Stars! read more

We should have listened to the other reviews who said Camping World was a terrible place to take your RV for repairs, but we didn't and now we're adding our own poor review. We called ahead to let CW know we needed a grey tank replaced. They said they had to see it before they would fix it. "Okay, that makes sense," we thought. So we made an appointment for 8am a week in advance and were told it would probably be a 45 minute job. We arrived at 8am that morning but there was already a line to check in. After waiting around for 2 hours in the store we decided to go explore a little bit. We didn't get a call that our RV was ready until 4:30pm that day! CW didn't have the parts in stock but they had taken measurements to try and find out the part number and order it. We waited... and waited... and went in... and called... and waited. For our part to come in? No, just for them to find out if they could even order the part! We waited more than 10 days just for them to find the part number and see if they could order it. Camping World never initiated contact or let us know the status of what was going on, we had to go in or call every few days. Towards the end of that time we went over to Aloha RV and talked to them. They called us back promptly, talked to us on the phone and via email multiple times in just a few days and had the part number figured out and ordered in just 2 days! But good news for Camping World in the end... we still had to pay them for the hour that they took to look at our camper... read more

UPDATE! I urge you to find service anywhere else. I contacted corporate to try to resolve the issue and absolutely nothing was resolved! In fact, I never received any updates after the initial programmed response. read more
