Horrible horrible experience from the first day dealing with this joke of an establishment! BUYERS BEWARE!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!! Purchased a TT from them in May and have yet to receive the registration/license plates which have since expired. DMV says paperwork hasn't even been started to transfer into my name. Finance was somehow able to cause 5 HARD INQUIRIES to my credit. Trailer has had nothing but issues. The hitch they installed was the wrong size and not equipped to handle the weight of my TT, we ended up having issues and had to purchase a new hitch. The sales people will try to talk you into anything they have in stock just to get a sale under their belts for the month. Do yourself a favor and continue shopping around, Camping World is the absolute worst! read more

I dropped off my Jayco Travel Trailer for service approximately one month ago for them to evaluate a few issues I saw arise. One of them was the hot water heater that was no longer working. I had already done some research and learned it was most likely the control board that needed to be replaced, which takes maybe 10 minutes max to confirm through use of multimeter. I was charged for one hour of service to "diagnose" a problem that takes 10 minutes, which I was charged 199.99 for. and that wasn't even to fix the problem. To fix it, they wanted to upcharge on the control board itself and then charge me another half hour worth of service at 99.99. Interesting they would charge 199.99 to "diagnose" and half the price to actually fix the issue. Aside from the water heater was the slide-out, which I asked to be looked at since the fascia inside the trailer seemed a bit uneven when fully open. I showed the service advisor what I meant upon dropping off. Once again, they charged me another hour worth of service at 199.99 to "diagnose" and added in the notes that the issue could not be replicated even though the service advisor watched it with me when I demonstrated it when dropped off unit. The notes on the after action say they attempted to open and close the slide several times and it was normal operation. I find it hard to believe it took an HOUR to open and close the slide a few times and come to conclusion it was "normal" and could not replicate. They recommended the slide out service to clean and lubricate, which they wanted to charge an additional two hours of service for 400.00!!!! The prices are beyond ridiculous and the time allotted or allegedly used that were billed to me are absolutely unreasonable for what they claimed to have been done, with still no fix!!! I spoke with the employee who was rude and unable to explain why I was charged the unreasonable amount of time and could only say, "well, you signed for the estimate given at drop off." Well, news flash....sometimes estimates are not correct. It's clear from notes and what was done that this is absolutely an overcharge and seems like unethical business practice. I will not be bringing my unit back here for service and will be doing the work myself or at another business that treats its customers right. So glad we did a u turn to come check out what Camping world has to offer. We were browsing for a 5th wheel originally at a place down the street but decided to stop by because of the huge selection of RVs you can see from the road. We were helped by Lisa originally she was right on track as to finding what we were looking for. Lisa was called away to help a return customer from the night before and we were introduced to Gunny. Gunny is very knowledgeable and showed us the remaining used and some new 5th wheels on the lot that could possibly meet our needs . We were looking for something used and with a "mid-bunk" and "opposing slides" as I learned. However the one we liked was already pending a sale. This was our 1st outing to explore RV to what we are considering to be our full time living situation. If we decide to go this direction I know exactly who we will be returning to. This place is a total joke and I hope Camping Word Corporate reads this. First of all you inquire on a RV and make a appointment to look at the RV, you drive a hour and half to get to Camping World and take 3 hours off of work to accommodate the salesperson's schedule. You show up to your scheduled appointment and there are red ropes to herd you like cattle to an angry receptionist, she wants you to check in and wants your ID. I'm not a stubborn person but don't need a attitude from someone and feel like I don't need to give my information and ID to look at a RV, I'm not visiting someone at a correctional facility. If this is your company policy you probably need to change it and hire more friendly people. There is a RV dealer north of Camping World on the other side of KFC called RV Supercenter that was happy to take my business and money for a RV. read more

Purchased a trailer at this location when it was Richardson's RV. 9 months later, Tony, the service advisor claims that the roof is peeling and needs to be replaced when we brought the trailer in for an unrelated repair. That experience was a fiasco. Several months with no communication and no repairs, one missed trip and another coming up, we demanded that the trailer be returned to us in usable condition. On the day we were supposed to leave, the trailer wasn't finished. We arrived as the technicians were frantically finishing the repairs. While we were checking out, Tony walks in and advises that an accident occurred and a 12" gash was ripped in the middle of the floor in the main living area. A quick and ugly repair was done, and we drove the trailer off for our trip, assuming we are done with the issues. Based on the fiasco with the floor, I didn't think to closely inspect the roof before leaving. My husband noticed a small area with a line of sealant near the AC unit, but assumed it was part of the install process. Fast forward 18 months and there is a leak in the trailer. We make an appointment (6 weeks later) and Tony is once again our advisor. He climbs on the roof and mentions there is a large gash in the roof. My husband and son climb up to inspect, and there is a large gash that has sealant all the way around it-the same place where there used to be a thin line. There are also some nails or staples in the roof, under where the membrane covered until it separated. After two weeks, the manager from Camping World finally returns our calls and says there is no way his mechanics did that, and you need to file an insurance claim. Our insurance adjuster sent a letter stating the issue was caused by a faulty repair, and they won't cover it. Camping World's corporate customer service is now denying the claim saying that their third-party inspector insists that a technician would never repair a roof that way, and we have to come out of pocket for the repair. My trailer has never been to any other shop, and the repair was done by their technicians, as this was a warranty job and the roof was covered for any damage that we did. I wouldn't have taken it to them except that this was a repair they did that was failing! They are staying its my word against theirs, and they don't accept liability for the damage. After speaking to several other shops and a couple of insurance adjusters, this seems to be the standard at this location. Their customer service team said they verified with a third party that repairs aren't done that way, but also said if the damage had been reported sooner, they might help me... I didn't notice the damage until the repair failed and the roof leaked. But if I'd noticed sooner you'd take care of it? Seems odd. I will be pursuing legal action, but I recommend anyone who needs repairs done for their RV or trailer to stay very far away from Camping World, or you'll probably have to sue them too! read more

super unhappy with the level of service from the service dept sandra garica i have taken my coach in to get some jacks added after purchace of a new unit when dealing with the service advisor she will not call back or email back with updates. so i have to go in and see whats going on with my unit when i show up i find out it's done but yet still no call. so i talk to advisor and she says can you pick up i said yes and could be back in a hour or so she said she would have it ready for pick up i came back in about a hour and ten mins to no coach waiting so i stood around for another 40 mins waiting for it when it does show up i asked if someone could show how the new jack system works im told insturctions are on line but here is a paper copy to learn it... wow i have never been to a worst service dept than this. such a bummer that this is the level of service a customer gets after buying a 180k new coach read more

Took my Grand Design 293RES in for repairs of damaged subfloor due to water intrusion from slide. Estimate came back at over $10,000. The damaged area (soft spot in floor) was about 2 ft X 4 ft. Explanation of repairs needed was to remove cabinets sitting on top of the flooring, remove trim around the slide, peel back the linolem to replace subfloor, and on the outside remove the underside protective covering, cut a hole in the insulation on the underside of the floor so support could be added while the floor inside the RV was removed and replaced. This doesn't make sense, when manufactured the frame is assembled and subfloor (plywood) is laid down, secured to the frame and the linoleum is placed on top of the subfloor. I'm a DIY guy, not an RV repair expert by any means, but I have done a lot of research and understand how flooring system in RV's are manufactured. Common sense tell me there is no need to remove the bottom cover, cut a hole in the insulation so the floor could be supported. while repairs are made. If I'm wrong please respond and let me know why. I just really feel that Camping World was ripping me off by proposing to do a lot of work that is not needed. read more

When I tell you this is the most comfortable my family and I have ever been at any kind of dealership in our whole entire lives because of this man! He answered every question, every concern, listened to us and most of all made us feel like family! I've been to multiple Camping World locations within my radius (Temecula), shopping around for a specific trailer and before I met Gunny, my experience was the same- rushed and given the same basic sales tactics. Me being a business owner, I know how the game goes when it comes to sales. I took my time on pulling the trigger and I'm glad I did. I went to Colton (which is the biggest one) and they offered me an insanely high interest rate. At the Temecula location I could tell they were playing the numbers game and trying to trick me into selling me the highest interest rate that they could. Listen.... I get the fact that the dealership has to make money, however, the greediness and everyone trying to get a come up is what I disagree with in the sales industry. I decided to make a random phone call to the Menifee location and that was when I first interacted with Gunny. His personable, down to earth and patient demeanor is what got me in my car and on my way to their dealership within the 5 minute conversation that we had. I was very specific in what I was requesting and knew what I wanted. Gunny was the only person who did not try to fast talk me, was straight to the point and understood that time is precious. "I'll beat whatever you were offered and make sure that you're comfortable and happy with your purchase. Tell me what I need to get done to earn your business, and I'll be up front with you if I can do it or not." My experience with Gunny felt like he wasn't really interested in closing a sale, but more concerned about his reputation and genuinely helping people. Him being a retired Marine and man of Faith, I can totally see why this experience was as smooth and refreshing as it was. Simply put, Gunny went the extra mile on every stage of this process and I am blessed to have encountered such a wonderful experience. Warning!!! TAKE YIUR RVS, CAMPERS, and 5th WHEELS ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!! I am writing this to save anyone time, money and peace of mind. I have never been spoken to by a manager like Mike did to me, threatening, horribly rude and hurtful without even knowing me. If I could give zero stars I would, horrible experience. The Manager Mike is completely unprofessional, issued threats to me that he would not complete things needed that they kept dropping the ball on if I didn't give a good review. Service Manager Tony did nothing that he said he would do. They said they would clean it and have it detailed it's filthy, it was there for warranty repairs and they gave me only one couch, trashed the whole camper and kept it for six months with excuse after excuse as to why something was delayed or not done. People would hang up, never return calls, I was always respectful and understanding and time and time again we got pushed around and trampled on again and again. They charged my mom $700 when she picked it up when it shouldn't have cost anything and stuck her with a trashed and dirty fifth wheel camper in worse shape than when she dropped it off and only gave her one couch! There is too much to fit or explain thoroughly enough to talk about how atrocious the service was here and how they treat people, talk to people, treat their belongings or time. ***PLEASE READ BEFORE USING SERVICE DEPARTMENT*** Be aware that Camp World just bought Richardson's RV!! My spouse and I bought a trailer from Richardson's RV in Temecula in April 2022. We were SO pleased with the staff in Temecula. They were VERY helpful through the process of buying our FIRST TRAILER! We had our brand new trailer for 3 month and used it for one trip. Within this time frame our shower had a leak and damaged the wall, the wallpaper above the stove bubbled, the countertop began to lift, the floor began to wrinkle, one blind broke, the window in the bedroom would not close correctly, and the dead bolt was not in line with the doorway which would not allow it to lock (only being able to lock the door with the top lock on the outside of the trailer so we did not notice this when we bought it.) We called the service department in the beginning of July to schedule an appointment through our warranty with the service department. The soonest they had was the end of July. We dropped off our trailer on July 27, 2022. They took note and pictures of all of our concerns and advised everything would be covered by warranty. We were called at the end of September 2022 to come pick up our trailer. We went down to pick it up and went inside of the trailer to make sure everything was done... They had fixed the wallpaper, the counter top, and the bedroom window but the shower leak, wall damage, blind, floor, and dead bolt lock were NOT fixed. We informed the staff member that everything we asked for was not completed. The staff member asked if we could still take it home to get it off of the premises as they made their transition from Richardson's to Camp World, then bring it back that following Saturday. We refused to take it and bring it back considering the time we took off of work and gas money drive an hour to this location to pick it up. Within the next month, we called their service department multiple times with no response so we drove down to the location after we got off of work to speak to someone in person. We showed up at 5:55 PM and when we walked in the lady working at the service department desk looked ready to go but asked if we needed help. We said we were just there to check on the status of our trailer since it had been a while. She asked when we dropped it off and we responded end of July. The employee looked very surprised and stated everything from Richardson's was supposed to be picked up at the end of September. She took down our name and information and advised that she will ask the service manager Mike Billings to give us a call the following day. We did not hear from Mike the next day but my spouse did call and leave a voicemail. Another employee name Jake called us back the next day and stated they would be placing an order parts for the repairs and would keep in touch with an update. November 17th we were on vacation when we received a call from Jake that one of the parts they ordered came in damaged. My spouse advise we were on vacation so Jake said "just call me when you get back and we will update you with the progress" (as he knew we needed this completed for a trip planned December 2nd.) When we got back we called Jake and he provided the date of December 1st for the trailer to be picked up. We called on November 28th to assure that it would be ready for pick up December 1st. Jake was out of the office due to a family emergency and called us back on November 29th to confirm pick up. On December 1st my spouse went to pick up the trailer and... it was NOT READY. Nothing was worked on since we saw the trailer at the end of September. The trailer had MORE damage than when we dropped it off and it was SO dirty. He spoke with the manager who pushed all the blame onto Jake. When in reality we never got a call back from Mike and Jake was the only employee we were satisfied with regarding some form of communication. Since no progress has been made within the time frame of 4 months, my spouse decided to take the trailer home so we can ether fix it ourselves or take it to another facility that will honor our warranty, do good work, and provide service within a timely manner. We understand we asked for a lot to be fixed, back orders, staff shortages, transitions with new ownership... but we received little to no help. They had our trailer longer than we had. We are very discouraged and burdened by our brand new trailer because of the lack of service this company has provided. I hope they can provide better service to their future guests. read more

They had my RV almost a year, when initially issues were covered through warranty and/or due bill from the dealer. they never fixed it and when brought back in (only taken out for a trip) to finish fixing it they then stated warranty doesn't cover it because issues were already fixed. issues were never fixed, they released my rv only for the trip. I wasn't taking it back in for secondary issues. Jake/Jacob Jamieola was my service advisor, absolute horrible. never called back, never addressed issues. would say he would take care of something or it was already fixed and it was never fixed. when I called to follow up he would advise me to call the manufacturer and make false statements to the damaged cause of the RV while in their possession to say that I had personally done the damage which makes no sense but they didn't want to cover it and the manufacture didn't want to cover it so he wanted it to fall on me, the customer. Keep in mind these damages were caused by the dealer prior to purchase and date of pickup, hence the due bill. Jake is now in sales, careful because he will promise you the moon and the stars and never deliver. Get everything on paper. This location knows about Jake and know what a problem he is. read more
