Our experience at Camping World was a mix of exceptional customer service and disappointing customer service. First and foremost, if you're shopping for an RV, ask for NICK. He is not your typical salesman who's just trying to close a deal. He genuinely cares about his customers and takes the time to understand what they're looking for. The two RVs we originally came to see had already been sold, but instead of trying to push us into something outside of our budget, Nick searched through the inventory and found us the perfect match. We absolutely loved it and ended up purchasing it. He was patient, attentive, honest, and never made us feel pressured. We truly couldn't appreciate him more. Unfortunately, once we moved past the sales process, our experience changed. We waited about 2 1/2 hours to complete our purchase. While we understand that dealerships can get busy, there was never an acknowledgment or apology for the long wait. Even a simple "Sorry for the delay" or a small gesture of appreciation something as simple as a complimentary set of camping chairs or another goodwill accommodation, would have gone a long way in making us feel valued as customers. Our interaction with Alex in finance was also disappointing. The process felt rushed, and when we asked if he could match the financing rate from our pre-approval, he seemed irritated rather than willing to discuss our options. Buying an RV is a major investment, and we expected to feel like our questions were welcome instead of feeling like we were inconveniencing someone. I don't usually leave negative reviews because I know everyone has difficult days, but I also think it's important to share an honest experience. Nick made this purchase happen, and without him, we likely would have walked away. He is a tremendous asset to Camping World and deserves recognition for the level of customer service he provides. My experience with Camping World was disappointing. Communication was the biggest issue--I had a hard time getting return calls, and it often felt like my business wasn't a priority. My advice is to do your homework before buying here. Don't rely on the MSRP or the advertised sale price, as there may be much more room for negotiation than they initially let on. So anyways we booked an appointment a month ago for this weekend coming up, so I called yesterday to confirm our appointment for this weekend and I come to find out they never put me in the system or scheduled. I would never recommend Camping World to anyone after the experience I had. I came in looking to purchase an RV, and after working out the deal, we shook hands and I was told everything was good to go. They ran my credit, told me I was approved, and I was waiting for the paperwork to be completed. Then I was told by the finance team that the bank did not approve the deal unless I put money down. What was most disappointing was that the finance manager never came out to speak with me. After his team delivered the bad news, he stayed behind his desk and never took the time to explain what happened. I found that extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The only person who was professional and treated me with respect was Ethan. I appreciate the way he handled himself throughout the process. I will not disclose his boss's name, but as a professional myself, I believe in handling situations with honesty, communication, and respect. If there was an issue with financing, it should have been communicated before getting my hopes up and making me believe the RV was ours. My daughters were very excited about our new RV and having it in our driveway, and now they are disappointed because of how this situation was handled. A good business should be honest, communicate clearly, and treat customers with respect. Unfortunately, Camping World did not do that for me. BE CAREFUL. When going for financing, Alex is a deceptive sales person. He stated that I could receive a package of extended warranties "for $500" - what he didn't clarify was that is what my MONTHLY PAYMENT would increase to - but he made it sound like it was a one-time payment. This is known as PREDATORY LENDING and I would counsel any customer to be very wary of Extended Warranty pricing. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. We shook hands on a deal, and the sales team made all sorts of promises to get us to agree. I even brought them donuts as a thank-you for what I thought was going to be a great, straightforward transaction. Then came the classic bait-and-switch. After our handshake agreement was fully confirmed, they suddenly came back and demanded a down payment out of nowhere that was never part of our deal. Bought a brand new Jayco trailer from these guys in 2025 and the stove was defective, wouldn't stay lit. Both burners would go out, one at a time, over & over & over again. Made it a chore (sometimes impossible) to try to cook anything. I ended up buying a portable camp stove so we could actually cook. Long waits for service made it impossible to get in for a look until summer season was over. We spent a total of 2 months camping in it...week and a half in Yellowstone, week in Glacier National, two weeks Oregon and several other trips and the stove had an issue EVERY day. I had videos showing them the issue and they had my trailer for a month and said they couldn't replicate it (in the world I was living in that's not even possible) Anyway, took it to Ray's RV in Banning, who's serviced my trailers for 20+ years...he replicated it pretty much immediately when he looked at it and solved the problem for me Bottom line, Menifee Camping World IS NOT where you want to buy or service your RV they're dishonest, IMHO, don't stand by their products and generally disappoint on about every level (They signed me up for Good Sam and screwed that up too). If you chance it and get a service writer named Mason run...he NEVER returned a single call when he said he would and was more interested in trying to sell me a $1600 extended service warranty than solving my problem. I'm sure when they see this they'll claim they can't fix what they can't see... Frankly given how quickly Ray's found the issue and then solved it, that's just not true, or Camping World really is as bad as this review describes. My wife and I purchased a Jayco trailer a year ago and were forced to have the trailer repurchase from us from the manufacturer because of the many issues. We have attempted to get our extended service plan reimbursed through camping world and have been met with many complications. Tony and Kelly in the finance department are difficult to reach. When we do get ahold of them they always need to email someone to figure out what is going on. They never give us a complete answer! Funny, when camping world takes your money the transactions seem to be smooth. When you need to be repaid they treat their customers with the upmost disrespect by dragging their feet. We started the reimbursement process in May and it is now July. We are still unclear if our cancellation form has been processed. My favorite experience has been when both finance managers have told us that we need to do them a favor and call them back for an update because both of them were so busy and would forget. If camping world thinks that we will ever do business with them they are crazy. At this point, I want my refund and to be done with this company. I would be happy to update this review if anything changes/ I get information on my refund. read more

My family and I visited Camping World Menifee on June 23, 2025, to view a 2019 Thor Four Winds 22E (Stock #2562291P). We had an appointment and were informed that a $5,000 deposit was required to begin the financing pre-approval process. We were told this was simply a reservation to view the RV again after cleaning and inspection--no formal contract was signed. Shortly afterward, we discovered that due to local zoning regulations, we legally could not park a Class C RV in our driveway. I called to cancel and request a refund. That's when the tone of the interaction noticeably shifted. Communication became difficult, and I was directed between multiple staff members with no clear resolution. I was repeatedly told that only the General Manager could authorize a refund, but no one followed up or returned my calls. It ultimately took over 36 hours, several phone calls, and repeated follow-ups before the refund was processed. Throughout the process, no one offered a clear explanation or apology. Here are a few points future customers may want to consider based on our experience: * A large deposit was required before any financing approval. * Details on warranties and maintenance history were not clearly explained. * The refund process was unnecessarily delayed despite the absence of a signed contract. * Communication was inconsistent and often unresponsive. * A valid zoning issue that made the purchase unworkable for us received no acknowledgment. The finance department seems more focused on protecting their commissions than doing what is legally right for customers. It has now been over 18 weeks since my extended warranty was canceled and I am still waiting for the refund that is legally owed to me. The warranty company confirmed the cancellation long ago, yet Camping World continues to delay and ignore calls and emails. The finance department has been extremely frustrating to deal with, especially finance managers Kelly and Alejandro. Instead of helping resolve the situation, there has been constant avoidance and zero accountability. At this point it feels like the delay is intentional so they don't have to lose their commission by issuing the refund. Customers should not have to chase a company for months just to receive money that already belongs to them. This level of customer service is unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. Because of the continued delays and lack of response, I am now being forced to pursue legal action to recover the refund that is rightfully mine. If you're considering doing business with Camping World, be very careful when dealing with their finance department. The wife and I just purchased our first fifth wheel from camping world in Menifee. I had seen an add on Facebook marketplace, it was one of the sales guys named Justin. We met him at the dealer he walked us around to see all the different models we wanted to see. Told him we weren't looking to buy asap just looking. We left. He didn't bug us whatsoever. The only people who give this place a decent review are people who they were able to rip off. We had a purchase agreement for an rv and had outside financing, but they never gave us the rv. It was one excuse after another for 2 1/2 weeks that never made any sense. We finally backed out and bought somewhere else. Randy the manager- told us lie after lie Alex-finance- same- lied several times Carlos-sales-pretty much no help after you agree to purchase. Don't bother calling him, he won't call you back. Do not do business with them. We were already approved through a bank. They were pressuring us to put a deposit on a trailer because another couple was and if we wanted it we needed to act quick with a decision. We had only been there for about 30mins looking at trailers. After telling them we needed a min they said the trailer was taken. Then proceeded to tell us to go to their Colton location. They had this wonderful trailer as soon as we walked in. We loved it we wanted it. We called them immediately to put a deposit down. But......... when paperwork got started they decided to tell us that they don't have a title to the trailer. We can't use the bank we were already approved through because the bank wanted a title for the loan. Then, after deciding to just go with their bank to finance they proceeded to tell us that the trade-in needed to be done a certain way when they knew how we were doing the trade in to begin with. It's was just one thing after another with them that seemed to be their fault for not explaining certain details Buyers!!!!!!! When looking at the trailers make sure to check if it's a consignment or if they own it. They will not tell you from the start. Consignment they hold no titles to their trailers and you have to use their financing to get approved. They say that the banks they use will allow you to get a loan without having a title. Once we decided to go with their financing. we needed the loan for 38,000 Got the paper in the mail from the bank they ran it through and they requested $69,000. That's 31,000 over what we actually needed. Everything about this from start to finish was a hassle and shady. Save your self the trouble and go somewhere else. You will definitely find YOUR trailer elsewhere. We definitely did! read more
