What a horrible experience with the service department! All RV's are build like crap, lets just all admit that right off that bat. So after the first season of use we had some issues that needed to be addressed. Awning making popping noise, divider closet wall broke, rear A/C not blowing good or cold, skirt coming off outside slide out and the worst was the manufacturer only put one caster on the bed so when we put it back in it tore up the flooring. There may have been a few more. So we made an appointment at camping world service department. After 2 months of them having my RV they finally called and said it was completed. So I go to pick it up and find they had not even fixed several of the issues we were having. The wall in the closet was still broken, awning still makes popping noise and A/C still broke. They tell me to just take it and they will contact the manufactures and get back to me. Do not fall for this! So I went up and opened up the A/C myself and found that the evaporator flange is completely missing. I contact Camping world and guess what, they are now blaming me and say they never touched the A/C. Even though I feel they should have looked at the A/C the point is it obviously came that way from the factory and should be fixed by them! They sold me this RV for 85k and now that they got their money they have no interest in fixing anything in warranty. Even when they didn't do the job correct the first time when it was under warranty! read more

I have called Chris back, but after the first voicemail he won't return my phone call... I have left a review on Google reviews, no response... Please stay away from this location. When I picked my trailer up they never returned my 30 amp power cord or my wheel chocks... Super frustrating. I have neglected to share this post because I know they won't do anything about the situation. Please, inventory your gear before and after your service. Do not let what happened to me happen to you. In addition, our trailer was "prewired" for a backup camera, but after inspection and removal of the mount, it was not properly equipped. It wasn't just plug and play like it was stated to be. Inspect, inspect, inspect! I spent the extra money on the Furrion to ensure a smooth installation, but it didn't matter. Our trailer was brought in to have some electrical work done and the speaker was put back on with only two screws, which ended up ripping out of the ceiling. There isn't a whole lot to secure it to, to begin with. They also quoted us a few weeks and after months of not hearing from them I reached out to get an update. They told me that they misplaced my work order and it was just sitting on their lot. What a joke.... I would encourage you to find somewhere else to conduct service on your rig. read more

I'm pushing 60 and my engagement with the service department has got to be the worst in my adult life. We brought our RV trailer in for a list of broken stuff. Small list such as the sink in the kitchen leaking, the heater on the bunk house not working, the CO2 sensor intermittently going off, replace the black water handle, repairing a broken drawer in the kitchen, the screws in electrical outlet on the outside have pulled out and the outlet needs to be resecured, replacing the black water handle and an estimate for repairing some body damage. 1. They had my RV for about 4 months. They never called us. When we called, the people answering the phone at the main switchboard couldn't connect me to anyone in the service department. Several calls over the Months and associated messages were left unanswered. 2. I finally came in to the service department in person. My objective was to remove the trailer. The clerks there looked at their computers and pulled up paperwork and told me that some things on the list were done but they were back ordered on parts. They did tell me that we could come in and take our trailer out while we were waiting. They gave me a direct line phone number to our service advisor. 3. We decided to take out the trailer and called in advance to let them know. I spoke to the service advisor and he told me the trailer was done except having to put a clamp on the water hose for my leaking sink. Apparently there was no back ordered parts. The RV had been sitting there just waiting for them to call me and finish up... But no one had 4. We pick it up. $500 for a bunch of minor repairs including over $100 for "extras" which was described to me as disposable stuff used in the repairs... Shop stuff. 5. We take the camper out and find out the sink is still leaking. What ever they did didn't work. The heater in the bunk house still isn't working. The outside electrical repair pulled out the door screws while we were prepping to leave at home. They just put for screws of the same size in... Wow ... The drawer wasn't fixed not on the invoice...I ended up doing it myself after going to Home Depot and buying new drawer rails. 6. Faced with all these problems I'm faced with a decision. Do I return and give them a shot at repairing again? Or do I lick my wounds, eat my $500 bill and move on to another RV repair place? My decision is to move on. The Camping World service department is so poorly run that returning will just subject me to more frustration and poor service. Anyone deciding to use this organization needs should consider my cautionary tale before engaging with them. read more

DO NOT GO TO CAMPING WORLD!!!!! My wife and I visited Camping World in Mesa, AZ to look at motor homes. After wondering about their sales lot trying to find motor homes or a salesperson, we discovered their RV's were behind a locked fenced area. We entered the sales desk inside their retail store and asked to see a salesperson. The reception person asked if we had an appointment and we said no. Then she said if I would give her my name and driver's license, she would see if someone was available. I said that I wanted to see what they had available and she sternly told me that unless I gave her my driver's license I could not see their RV's and it was a company policy. This shocked my wife and I. We have never heard of such a request from the other RV dealerships we visited. Needless to say, I was not willing to hand a total stranger my driver's license. I told her I had no problem giving her my name and even my phone number. She once again repeated that it was a company policy and that we could not see their RV inventory without providing my driver's license. We left without seeing what they had for sale. Two days later we visited La Mesa RV in Tucson, AZ, and purchased a used 2023 motor home. The buying experience at La Mesa RV was easy and friendly. They did ask for my driver's license after I had negotiated the purchase our new RV. That is how it should be. The prices at La Mesa RV were much better compared to what saw on line at Camping World which advertises "NO ONE CAN BEAT THEIR PRICE". No Problem! Our sales person did not seem excited to sell us our pop up camper, it was a smaller purchase compared to other RV's on the lot ($7k) so he likely was not making much from us. He had zero knowledge on the campers which made us almost back out but because of the price we went forward with the sale. After purchasing, we were rushed to pick up our camper when we were giving the choice on when we wanted to pick up. We schedule for Friday at 1pm, and proceeded to wait for 2 HOURS before we could do a walk through. The finance team was ready for us, but we could not complete our paperwork until we had made our walk through. I finally had to address the manager on staff and ask why we are still waiting in their lobby to do a walk through. The scheduling process was a mess, I don't understand why Camping World would willingly schedule a busy day and make the supposed to be exciting pick up process stressful for customers and extremely informative. This was the first camper I ever purchased and I had to hook up the RV by myself having no knowledge on how to do so. NEVER do business with Camping World. Their strongest attributes are dishonesty and deception. I purchased a new Volante in August, 2022. In less than 18 months, it has sat on their lot for repairs an accumulative 6 months, while they take their sweet time. On two occasions at different Camping World locations, tires have been stolen and replaced with used worn tires, while in their possession. From day one, they have been a nightmare to work with. I bought a Cummins generator online for in store pickup back in July 2023. I get to the store and find out it's the last one and it's off the shelf from the showroom floor. No one was even going to tell me, I just found out myself and didn't want to make a fuss about it and I really needed a generator that size/day. Ever since I purchased it I've had issues, finally got around to take it to Cummins to get warrantied and turns out they sold me a generator they've had in store since 2022 that was made in end of 2021 and due to that I am past the manufacturer warranty. Now Cummins wants $400 for 2 hours of diagnostic testing when the generator was only $1200. I am frustrated at myself for accepting the one off the shelf but at the same time I am frustrated with Camping World that I was sold a what is "new" product that should still have a valid warranty when I purchase at full price. Now I got screwed by Cummins and Camping World for a generator that never worked properly since my first day of use. Bad business!! read more

Changing my review to reflect upon our final outcome. My husband and I purchased a Coleman Lantern from Camping World in Mesa. It was the worst experience of any major purchase I've had in my life. I suspect this is why they offered us a $10 gift card for a 5 star review when we first negotiated the contract. All the employees we worked with (saleman, finance, and managers) are untrained, do not communicate with each other, and are indifferent to doing their jobs. Also, they want to sell to you and then practically push you out the door once they have your money, horrible customer service. When I called the store manager Seth to discuss the damages done to our brand new 2024 travel trailer discovered upon delivery, he was extremely condescending and RUDE. All any customer wants is someone to listen to their complaints and take action to correct the problems quickly. Executive leadership needs to train Seth on how to be a customer service oriented leader, Seth was the antithesis of that. He was pompous and flat-out rude to both myself and my husband. When I asked for his Supervisors name, he refused and said that he was the highest up I could speak to and to call the corporate headquarters. We are now left with damage to the interior to our new trailer and no one to help. My husband is trying to get ahold of corporate to assist. This may be a long review, so sit back and get comfortable. First things first we have been in search for a new 5th wheel for a very long time, our salesman Jaime Rich has been with us every step of the way. Reaching out with new units, trying to find us the right fit for our budget. They finally had an AMAZING deal on a 2022 Alpine we decided to purchase. Everything with Jaime Rich and the managers went really great (considering I can be a little rough when negotiating). Jaime did everything to get us the best price and highest amount for our trade. They made the buying experience easy and enjoyable. This is the reason for the 5 star review, I HIGHLY recommend Jaime and I'll get more in depth on that shortly. Now for the bad because every good purchase just has to have something bad it just happens with the universe. After a week they reached out and told us the 5th wheel was ready for pick up. I found that odd because there was a VERY long list of items to fix/order.. Rightfully so it's a 2022 no big deal we just wanted the items fixed. I reached out to Jaime to make sure and he told us it's not ready so we scheduled delivery/walk through for the following week. This is where things got REALLy BAD. We live almost 2 hours away from Mesa so we made the trip with high hopes everything from our list had been corrected. We show up and NOTHING had been addressed. I got really heated as did Jaime because he was told by the service manager list is 100%. So Jaime and I start walking it and reviewing the list and he's in full agreement nothing had been corrected. So he starts running around telling the managers trying to find someone to work on it while we are there. They did find someone to work on some of the items but unfortunately there was another issue with the in command motherboard they had to reach out to the manufacturer and find out what was wrong. Today Jaime called us and said it was just an update needed to be downloaded and everything should be finished this week and we will pick up this weekend (Saturday). I told Jaime please make sure it is 100% before we make the trip again as the wife was not please with the service department last time! All in All Jaime is amazing and I highly recommend him in your next efforts in finding your perfect RV. He's truly a great guy and his word means something (hard to find these days in salesman). read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE: This could be a really long review because I have documentation enough to fill a book. Short story - we traveled from Portland to Phoenix to preview RV's going on auction. We selected the vehicle we wanted to bid on during the on-line auction. We had funds secured. We made our winning bid, see photo A, sent the funds, signed all the paperwork, hired a transport driver. The transport driver arrived to pick up our retirement dream & they tried to give him photo B, which we did not bid on because it was trashed inside. As you can see that high bidder paid $4K less than we did. They sent our RV off the lot with that person because whoever filled out the paperwork from CW put the wrong VIN on the paperwork. At first they tried to pull the, all sales final, mistakes can be made and it says that in the fine print. In the end gas-lighter and CYA chief Seth Ewing, after receiving lots of documentation from us showing we knew what we bought, overnight FedEx'ed a check. We were still out payment for our trip down, payment to the transport driver, payment for insurance for time in force, interest on our loan to ourselves. Several thousand to learn this place is really bad. These people are dishonest and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

This was a sorry excuse for a business that sells to the public. We read the reviews before we went but said, "How bad can it be? We just need a simple part for our propane tanks." We couldn't get any help and there were about 3 customers in the store and 15 associates. The attitude was they couldn't be bothered and three of them were on their phone looking at who knows what. It took us 45 minutes to find out they didn't have it - in a store with 3 other customers and sales people outnumbering 5 to 1. Their attitude was the worst! We took our camper here and they replaced our back door because of water damage, they put a brand new one on, we went to pick it up the rubber seal was way too tight around the back, the lock was broke and the decal was messed up took it back for them to fix it they said the rubber seal was right BS, if it leaks they will be fixing it again. These people never get back to you, they take forever to get something done. Unfortunately there aren't many places that do THINGS the right way with craftsmanship. Bought Cougar 24rds new. Shower leaked during first use and caused water damage to floors, cabinets, undercarriage.
