You are definitely not on campus... At least not the kind of campus I know of. This place is a great place to chill in the afternoon and start that evening early. I came with some friends and stayed for a bit was tried the Huck Finn. It is made with jam and other berry flavors and it was one of the best drinks I have ever had. You barely taste the alcohol and it all you taste of the tasty berry flavors. Might be a bit sweet for some people but if you are into sweet drinks, this it he drink for you. The bartender tasted every drink he made which is something that I don't see anymore. The place is very chill with bar seating and some booths on the side. A cool place to relax and chat with some friends. If you are in the Marina and looking for a place to chill, I'd suggest Campus as a contender. read more

We got here with the roommate around 8:45pm. appalled by the service. we were trying to hit Campus for a couple drinks while waiting for our dinner reservations. high level, the service was awful. i've worked in the service industry and understand the pains of rude customers. our waitress/host was unnecessarily and outwardly so rude - this may not reflect the character of the rest of the staff. when we arrived, the bouncers were making small talk while we waited for a spot to open up. we can totally understand that they mistakenly forgot to inform us that we needed to order food with our drinks - per new COVID mandates, this has been a regular theme across a lot of bars. however once we were seated, the waitress took our drink orders only without any mention or asking if we wanted to order food. she comes back 10 minutes later and says they're doing last call for food and demands we need to order full meals, burgers. we asked if we could order fries since we were unaware we had to order burgers with our drinks (mind you, none of the surrounding tables had food and only drinks). apparently the bouncers were supposed to tell us at the front. instead, the waitress/host calls us liars and makes a scene asking us to leave. this is no way to treat paying customers - especially a party of 6 that are generous drinkers and would've out paid any burgers if she let us have our fries. read more

When finally getting around to ordering, and giving her our ID's she said my friends was fake, where my friend then gave the bartender her old license to prove it was real. She gave both the ID's back, but told us to leave. She couldn't provide a solid reason as to why she denied both ID's. If she had confiscated them, there would be no issue contacting the police to verify them. We were in no way being rude or disruptive. Why she didn't want to serve my friend was besides me. Just went by this afternoon because I'd heard good things about the patio. The bouncer in the Niners hat gave my group an excessively hard time with our IDs. We're all between 25 and 28 years old. He went into the back to check one of our IDs, and meanwhile 5 or 6 others not in our group waltzed into the bar, no ID check. He refused to let one of our group in because he had a Wisconsin ID. We asked him to scan the card and he refused. We showed debit cards, credit cards and anything else and he still gave us his tough guy macho persona and refused to let him in. Pretty sad that a bouncer like that will let hubris negatively effect their business like that. How good are their drinks? Who the hell cares. read more

Came here on cinco de Mayo with about 12 people. We sat in the back by a fire pit with was great. We ordered a variety of drinks from pacificos to palomas and margaritas. The margs were on the sweeter side and were clearly batched which makes sense due to the volume they were going to have to produce on that specific day. The next round we opted for well drinks to avoid a hangover. The server let us keep the cute light blue margarita glasses that our drinks came in which was sweet of her. I. Love. Campus. This spot is very cool. Median age when I went was late 50s but it was a Monday night around 5. If you want a livelier crowd, go on a Weds, Thurs, Fri, Sat night. Monday margaritas caught my eye as I was on my way to a holiday party, $6, people! You can't beat it. The bartender was nice and attentive. Her margaritas were fresh and spicy (I got the jalapeño marg), she put on cat videos on one of the screens so I didn't have to watch football (just kidding sports are life, go team!), and she entertained us with stories of her holiday season. I'd highly recommend Campus because I've had a great experience every time I've gone. They have a sweet backyard patio area with fireplaces and games. If you can't find happiness here, you may just be a negative person, so check yourself before you wreck yourself. read more

Bartender refused to serve us for no apparent reason. Friends who are regulars are upset about it. Had a dozen friends there who invited us on saturday (day before st Patricks). We show up (7 people) still completely sober. We waited at the bar for 20-30 minutes. The bartender ignored us. She served people who got there after us and when there was no one left, she just sat in the corner. Some people came after us, she went up and served them right away and they hesitated, because they could see we were there first and waiting and asked us if we ordered yet. Naturally, I asked, "will we be served?". The bartender responded, "No, never." I get when people don't get served. I go out enough to have seen it all. Too drunk, too rowdy, acting loud or obnoxious. Rude attempts to flag down staff. Not us. Not this time. We stood politely. Never said a single thing until I asked if we'd be served. No crazy hand waves or rude attempts to flag down. I wish I knew why but all 20 of us left after that. My friends who invited us are regulars and are really upset about it. They only let a certain capacity in at a time and don't let parties of 6 or more sit together. Please be careful if you're paying with a credit card at this establishment. I dropped by here sober for a drink, ONE drink, to say hi to some friends briefly as I was on my way somewhere. Few days later I saw my credit card statement charged significantly higher than the amount of what I paid for. I left a tip but the female bartender decided to give her self a larger $15 tip at my expense for one drink. This particular female who was around 5'6 -5'7 brunette works Saturday night. Be careful around this bar because it seems they take part in unethical practices and probably prey on taking advantage of inebriated patrons. Glad I took notice of this, def won't be coming back here and will warn others. The one star ( that I have no option of controlling on yelp review) could be given to the back patio with the fire place I suppose for it's ambiance) regardless, pay with cash if you must be here but avoid it all together. We were here three weeks ago, and this place still stands out in my mind! This place was a few blocks from our motel, and was the perfect choice. They didn't have food, but the bartender sent us next-door to tipsy pig, which worked out perfectly, as the drinks were so good here! My first drink was the chili Margarita, which seems to be super popular right now. It was good. But my second drink was the Huckleberry Finn. It was AMAZING. Stopped by for some Saturday football games and had a great time. The place is pretty big and I was able to post up in a cozy area in the back. The bartenders service was quick and they make really good drinks. A Moscow mule was especially refreshing on a hot Saturday. They don't serve food, but they have a lot of areas nearby that do. I asked the bartender and he had no qualms with letting us bring outside food in. We ordered food from next door and picked it up at halftime. Everything's reasonably priced and it's a roomy place. The staff was cool and so was the all around atmosphere. We got there early, but as the day went on the place started getting packed. I'm generally not the type to like bars in the Marina, but this one won me over. My husband and I had reservations at a restaurant nearby, but arrived on the early side. We decided it'd be fun to grab a drink first, and that's how we ended up here. This place has a nice classic look on the inside, with dark, rich wood all around. It made me want to light up a cigar, even though I don't smoke haha! It wasn't crowded at all, at least on the night that we went. The crowd was pretty chill and diverse, which is unusual for the Marina. They have big TVs, which is cool if you're into keeping up with sports.
