I've been coming to this space since it was "Left at Albuquerque", and wow, what an upgrade. The Brixton is a classy higher-end spot that is perfect for larger groups or family gatherings. They offer a huge variety of New American fare with generous shareable portions or small plates. The layout was well thought out as every table is comfortable and offers visitors enough room to play musical chairs for those large group meetups. The Brixton gets busy fairly often, but again, the layout and spacing makes it such that you can hear everyone in your party without screaming. The food is great, and I've yet to find a dish that I wouldn't resoundingly recommend. The servers are knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. The Brixton is always on my recommendation list as a place to hang out in the Marina/Cow Hollow area. read more

I had high expectations. But I also knew it was a Saturday night and moreover Valentine's Day. It was extraordinarily loud. We asked for a quiet table and they found us one. But it was still hard to hear each other across the table. My husband had a drink at the bar. He ordered a second at the table and they brought him a third. We ordered wontons that never arrived. He ordered a salad with his hamburger and they brought him fries. The food was delicious. Dessert was disappointed. We ordered an apple pie but it was more like a pop tart. All pastry and only a tiny bit of apples. Our server was very helpful and accommodating. I understand that the kitchen was slammed. But I always wonder when the wait staff who takes your order is not the one delivering your food. That's where the mistakes happen. My scallops were delicious. All four tiny ones. Perfect brunch spot. They recently redid the inside and it's beautiful and sleek. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful. But you're coming here for the food and every bite is worth it. The recommendations: First and foremost, all dishes are quite large, so be mindful Highly recommend brunch cocktails. They do a fantastic job. Fair warning - if you do the spicy margarita, it IS spicy. They infuse their tequila with jalapeño and habanero so it definitely packs a punch. Frittata- large, full of little extras either great flavor. French toast - massive portion. Highly recommend splitting this as a sweet option for the table. Burger - sloppy and fantastic. It did get a little soggy at one point, but the flavor made up for any of the drips. BLTA - I added smoked salmon to this one which I highly recommend. I arrived early for my reservation and a seemingly random man wandered up to the host stand and greeted me. I think he might be the owner or a manager. He was nice enough. I wasn't seated where I requested and it wasn't busy, but my table was still fine. The server was friendly and checked in frequently without being overbearing. The ambiance was casual and quiet. The food was pretty mediocre. The BLTA was fine. Nothing remarkable. I also had the Crème Brûlée, which was also just fine. There are many places to eat on Union Street and this is just one that's not as memorable. I used to love Brixton and their awesome happy hours. The former owner made the place fun and edgy with cool music venue posters from days past. Then there was a closure and redo. It's over priced and just has a different attitude. There's a fireplace in front by the open doors so it's not really cozy. The staff are nice. The drinks are good. The dessert is yummy. We had the best salad and the smash burger with fries. They used to have great burgers, fries and service. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. Went here for lunch recently and they downgraded my Wagyu hamburger to the Smashburger and tried to charge me the higher price. I had to ask a 2nd server to confirm that the hamburger served was a mistake and they offered to make the correct, more expensive burger. By that time, I didn't trust the staff so suffered and ate that miserable "smashburger" flat, thin, tasteless wannabe burger. I can't recommend this place anymore and won't ever return. I dined here last night after my friend saw the sign for Girl Dinner. After a little bit of research, it's only available when using the Blackbird app (which is an app to pay your bill). I downloaded the app prior to arrival & made reservations via Open Table which was easy enough. The girl dinner is only featured on Wednesdays for about a month (May 2025) & this specific offer started on 4/30. Both individuals have to order the same meal so we both ordered burgers (the girl dinner standard burger has no bun) & my friend ordered that served medium but I ordered mine with a bun served medium rare. The burger is pretty big & seasoned perfectly. I devoured my entire burger except a few bites of the bun. Martinis are the accompanying beverage (gin, vodka or espresso tini). My friend had the gin martinis (including mine because I'm on antibiotics so I couldn't partake). We also shared a tuna tataki salad which was good but the burger was my favorite. I only came here for one thing only and it was for the martini tower!! It was super cute and such fun little idea. It came with 6 mini glasses of martinis accompanying with blue cheese stuffed olives, seasoned nuts, and potato chips. Came here around 9pm on a Friday and it was super packed but luckily I made reservations in advance which I highly recommend you to do if you plan on coming here. I sat in the back of the restaurant and it was spacious enough for my group of 5. The vibes were a mix of both vibrant and lively. There was music playing and lots of laughter going around the whole atmosphere. A typical night in the city during the weekend. It was my first time trying a dirty martini and I expected it to taste better in my head. That's just a personal preference but I think I'll stick to my regular espresso martinis or old fashions. We visited the Brixton for Sunday brunch with friends. It's a lovely place, blending the atmosphere of a chic restaurant with a casual sports bar. The music was initially pleasant, though it did get a bit louder when they switched to a sports channel. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and our food and drinks arrived promptly. I was excited to try the new revamped Brixton after hearing good things but walked away with mixed reviews. All the food we ordered was great! We went for a light meal in the afternoon. I had the kale Cesar which I highly recommend. I also got a Bloody Mary which was relatively average but had a good spice level. The controversy arouse when asking whether our drinks would be included for their happy hour. There were signs posted around the venue advertising it. The waiter didn't know about the happy hour which is fair given everything was new but proceeded to give us attitude and never returned to tell us what the happy hours was, just put in our drinks at regular price. The service was great afterwards! The host came up and explained everything to us and put our drinks at the happy hour price. Additionally, they changed our servers which feels like a lot but honestly our new server was much more engaged and attentive. Just felt like there was a lot of reaction for asking about the happy hour they advertise. Overall, love what they have done with the venue. You can tell they are going for a more upscale brunch/ dinner vibe now. Hopefully this was just a one time glitch. read more

Since the recent renovation this place has been killing it. They have a wide array of items on the menu from tuna crispy rice to fried chicken sandwiches. The spinach artichoke dip is a must order, it comes piping hot and stays that way in its cast iron pan. That's only if you don't finish it within the first 5 minutes. Their fried chicken sandwich has got to be one of my favs, the chicken is so juicy and flavorful I could eat it solo. I love The Brixton! I live pretty close by, so it's convenient. I love the atmosphere. It's classy and peaceful. And always fun people to mingle with. I'm a big fan of their Brixton card, so look into that. It's great savings and my friends are thankful I referred them. The French dip is my favorite, and it's hard to find good ones, you know. Came here on a Saturday for brunch but it was also St. Patrick's day weekend and there was a prefixed menu with bottomless mimosas and breakfast dishes and corned beef and hash. We made a reservation for 1pm for a party of 3 people. We ordered a round of cocktails (bloody Mary's and San Francisco fling) and our server Kenneth was amazing and hospitable. We ordered from the brunch menu, I got the avocado toast, my friends got chillaquelles, a burger, and we shared the Ricotta & Berry Pancakes. The owner is an absolute racist. I was 1/3 black people in the entire bar. As I was leaving. I turned around to check on my group. He almost pushed me to the ground, telling me to leave. This was after I paid a full cover for the bar. I tried to explain that I had been in the bar for the past two hours and was waiting on my group and he instead chose to shove me out. This was while everyone stood looking confused as he shoved a 110 lb woman nearly to the ground. Meanwhile, a white patron who had left the bar was allowed ré-entry with no questions asked. My parents and I came in for today on 04/19 after an art exhibit at a hotel a few blocks away. Our food was good, took a while to come out. Our server however, she never once checked up on us. We had to flag her down 3 times. 2 times to ask to refill our drinks and the 3rd time was to get our bill. She seemed more interested in the people that were spending lots of money on food and drinks. She was very dismissive. She checked up on a table that wasn't even hers on multiple occasions and never on us. Someone needs better training. I'm in the industry and I thought this was completely horrible service and extremely rude. The staff honestly seemed to care more about those who spent more money. You shouldn't treat the other customers and differently because they're not ordering a bunch of alcoholic drinks and food. No one there was really nice. The atmosphere is nice. I love the pictures they have up ok their walls tho. This restaurant does get loud tho due to the fact that it's more for like watching sports and getting drunk and being extremely loud, if you don't like that, this is not the place for you. Especially if you want to have a nice conversation. I'd probably come back, but definitely not for a while. They closed down for a while a long time ago. Completely different menu. More Japanese themed but still had their Brixton burger. read more
