Lies about pricing and rude when confronted about it. first time i was charged 46.75 when price listed is 39.75. My smog failed but he said i could come back again for a free retest. I come back after fixing my car and he seems mad i didn't come to him to fix it and then tells me in the 2 weeks since i got a smog that the price went up to 55 dollars and also my free retest only counts if he fixes it. This information was not given to me my first time. Once i confront him because now im paying 55 dollars more then i thought i was suppose to be paying, he says "ok ill give you discount for 39.75" THE PRICE THAT IS WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE. With 2 days before Christmas, and an upcoming road trip, I was worried about the availability of getting in for a last minute smog. Well, I pulled up and they were able to see me right away. The owner was kind and efficient. I was also worried about cost because I have a diesel that is a large passenger van, but the price was lower than I expected. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I normally don't make a point to nitpick on pricing when it comes to gasoline because we all get ripped off in California but every so often, a station does the little things that make a difference. Such was the case here over the years where the former owners would offer that same cash pricing for Shell Card Customers. It's probably only $0.10 but I thought "Hey, this is a nice touch that shows they care about a Shell Card holder." So I would use this station exclusively at least once a week because my car typically needs a $60-$70 fill. This is how you build a customer loyalty program indirectly and that's what a smart business owner has sense to do. So recently, the ownership changed here and what was one of the first things the new ownership did? Nothing to improve the location except take away that discount and raise prices. To me, a person who is in business for a living, that's a mistake that shows a lack of awareness in how easy it is to lose customers especially when you have 2 other stations directly across from this place. What makes it any better now? The answer is nothing. Maybe that's why on Friday at the typical rush hour home time there was not a single person there but me. This place was usually packed at this time with cars. So, they gained an extra $0.10 and lost probably lost a lot more in volume. That's how you throttle down in this industry. May want to rethink that plan. read more

Do not by gas or anything if the guy in the attached photos is working. I went into this shell station to buy gas as it was the last day of the month and I wanted to use my gas points which I have been saving. This guy (in the photos) ran my Ralph's card and I had $1.00 off. Then he took my money $80.00. I went to the pump but the showed $3.55 not $2.55 so I went back in and inquired. This guy (in the photos) said it's right, go ahead and pump. I did. I got to one gallon and it showed I had used $3.55 of my $80. (Photo) I went back in and showed him the photo. He said it's ok keep pumping. I did and at $80 the pump shut off (photo). I went back in and told this guy (in photos) I did not get my dollar off. He immediately starts playing stupid. Tells me to call the number on the door which I did. His phone rings. He answers it. It's me. He is obviously F'ing with me. He stole from me and will steal from you. As I was trying to rectify my situation another customer came in wanting $20 he stole from him. This guy is bad news and is giving Shell a bad name. I'm not done with him and I want him terminated. But until then I strongly urge anybody reading this review to stay away from this business. This guy is a thief!!! read more

This review is for the car wash, not the actual gas station. I've gone to this drive thru car was for a couple years now, but today I went and the machine hit my car. I have a Kia Soul, which is a pretty small car and I was parked right in the middle, so I really think the machine needs to be serviced. It pulled my rear side panel out, luckily I was able to pop it back into place and I didn't notice any actual damage, but I imagine a larger vehicle wouldn't be so lucky. My whole car shook quite a bit when it hit. I left a message with them about this so they can service it, but I'm hoping in the meantime this will help some avoid damage for someone else. read more

My tire pressure light came on yesterday, and I didn't know what to do. I was recommended to stop into this place, by several friends I called, who have all had good experiences here. Never ever ever come here! Dropped my car for an oil change and tire rotation simply because it's close to my office and didn't have time to get to my regular mechanic. Was told it would take 45 minutes. Call back 2 hours later to make sure it was ready and he stated he was "working on it right now". I asked how much more time he would need as I have an appt to make and he said 45 minutes, lol. I asked him if he has even started it yet and he chuckled and said no, I will start now. Missed my appt. Worst part was when I went to Pick it up, he wanted to charge me $81 for the tire rotation! A service which is usually free when getting an oil change or something nominal like $20. I refused and said put them back the way they were I'm not paying $81 for a tire rotation. He then proceeded to tell me that normally it is $25 but high performance cars are much more. Translation, own an expensive car and I can probably get away with gauging you without any push back. I asked him to explain to me how pulling lug nuts and rotating tires is any different on my car vs a civic. He could not answer and conceded to say, okay I charge you $25. This place WILL rob you! Needed my front brakes replaced and the mechanic tried to sell me on some bs that since I have to replace the front I need to replace that back. Not only that but I need to replace the the rotors because it's a new car??? Didn't feel right so I left and went to Harbor Auto Service Center where they told me I just needed the front brakes replaced and I just needed to resurface the rotor. Francisco does not know how to keep good customers. He replaced the radiator in our work truck and it still leaked so we took it back and he said he fixed it. Still leaked so he changed it out with another radiator, still leaked. We have had our truck in his shop 4 times And it's leaking worse than ever. Today he has our truck all day AGAIN and he has replaced it with yet another one. He charged us the first time, the second time and now charged us another $90 for today!! WHAT??? I wasn't sure if I needed one this year so I called them to ask how they understood the rules and they were kind enough to explain it to me by phone and it turns out that I don't need one for this year. WARNING for Ralphs Rewards members - Do NOT use this gas station. This shell gas station canceled my transaction because of my 30-cent Ralphs discount. The station only allowed me to pump 12-cents worth of gas and then canceled my transaction so I lost my 30-cent discount when I needed to fill up my 15.9-gallon tank. The attendant was not helpful and insinuated that I made a mistake. I've been pumping gas for over 26 years and I was still pumping when the pump stopped and asked if I wanted my receipt because the transaction was complete. To be clear the pump was still in my car when this occurred and would not restart. I will no longer use Shell gas or shop at Ralphs because of this issue. read more
