I went to the Midnight Show on a Friday night. The entertainment was great! Fun caberet/burlesque show that had our group of girls cheering/laughing the whole hour. The specialty cocktails were delicious! They serve from a full menu during the show..we had fries for a snack. The fries were actually really tasty and the aioli that comes with them was delicious! I saw one of the salads which also looked great. I would definitely come back here again with my boyfriend or a group of girlfriends next time I'm in Seattle. Keep in mind they add 18% gratuity to your tab during the show and drinks run $9-14 each. The dancers come by at the end of the show wanting tips as well. read more

We reserved seats for the Tuesday matinee show and were seated at the corner of the stage and the catwalk and received the instruction not to put any drinks on the rail. Yes, you are THAT close. It was disappointing to see that the place was only about 30% full since the performers really projected a lot of energy, but the performers lived up to their marketing. Tom was phenomenal, Allissa, LIndy, and Marissa are beautiful and seriously know how to shake it while flashing their beautiful smiles. I mean if you are a single guy and need to brush up on your history of Seattle, THIS IS THE PLACE ! Joel from personnel makes an inspiring case for suggestive misconduct. I wish I could give this place a 5-star review. The show was amazing and I'd love to visit again, but I'm nervous considering the failure of customer service. I bought a living social deal ("VIP admission") and didn't get dinner, despite the fact that the VIP tickets clearly include dinner. Buying a ticket was a bitch and the receptionist was snooty. My "VIP seating" was literally against the back wall and many guests seated beside me gave up and stood in the standing room only area. Once seated, the server was great, but knowing the nightmare that was negotiating their website, trying to reach someone on the phone, and being turned away at the door for dinner, I'm hesitant to try to go again. read more

It is with great sadness that I am finally writing this critical review of Can Can. This is a hard thing for me to write, but I am so depressed by the state of this show that I have to air it. I have been a HUGE, long-time fan of Can Can for several years. I have brought countless out-of-town guests there and even bought the cast drinks, on occasion, so great was my love of this phenomenon! But I have to say that the show of the last two years is flat pitiful compared to the experiences I had at the Can Can further back in their history. I used to show up, have a decent view pretty much no matter the seating, and get a jam-packed hour and a half of sweaty, spectacular dancing. Since those by-gone days, I have given this show 4 chances to return to some semblance of the original glory, and I have to say, on this fourth and final voyage, I am giving up on my most beloved venue. Same old story...something becomes popular and the quality dwindles... The main disappointment that I have experienced, that I find the most heartbreaking, is that the troupe has severely cut down their performance time...and I mean severely. Each of my disappointing visits have consisted of about 3-4 short dance numbers, followed by a very LONG break at the half-way point, followed by another quick 3 dance numbers....then the shows over. I can't even begin to draw a comparison with the length of the performance time now, to what it was 4 years ago. Also, during one of my swan-song visits, almost half of the show was taken up with watching a woman from the audience get mocked and teased on stage. Now I know these people pay good money for their VIP seats and their special time on stage. That's fine. I could handle 10 minutes of jokes and mockery, but SERIOUSLY...I paid over $50 to watch a woman make a jerk out of herself for nearly half of the show!! I was in utter shock. It's disrespectful to the rest of us who are still paying a full ticket price to see the troupe. I felt more cheated than I have ever felt paying for a bad night out. So let's move past that point, if we can, for those who may never have experienced the glory of the former days and won't be wrapped up in what "has been", and talk about what else sucks now...The remodel is horrible! The space is smaller and crappier than ever. Last Saturday I paid $42 to be able to see half of the acts half of the time. The rest of the show was almost entirely obscured, no matter which way I moved....and I wasn't seated in the worst part of the house. The stage is now level with the audience seating and the dancers spend a lot of time moving on the floor...which means you can't see any of this unless you're in the very front row. I ordered a drink before the show started and never received it, despite reminding the waiter three times. The rest of my table (there were 4 of us) got their drinks at the intermission. This was after dealing with a crabby host who kept us waiting in line for 20 minutes, because of some issue with checking a group in, and never apologized and wouldn't allow people to wait at the bar while he worked out whatever was going on. Mind you, we had reservations, and had already paid for our tickets, so there was no reason to have us standing outside, in the cold, when we were already committed and paid. And don't bother with the food...Some of it's good...most of it is disappointing, especially if you get the meal that comes with the show. I actually never cared whether the food was good, before, because the overall experience used to be so great that they could have fed me sawdust and I would have been perfectly content. Overall fun to go to once, because there's nothing else like it but, really, I'd urge you to save your pennies until they get their act together, again. Perhaps if their popularity starts to dwindle, they'll stop phoning it in. read more

We went to Can Can cabaret after it was recommend by our food tour guide. Can Can did not disappoint. The MC was very witty and charming- he knew how to work the audience and provided laughter as well as intrigue. The dancers played up to the crowd and had a lot of entertaining dances. The dancers were in great shape, good looking, and provided a great experience. It was the best cabaret by far that we have ever visited. read more

This place was awful. I came here after getting off work wanting to relax, meeting up with my sister and her friend. The servers were mean, and annoyed by the 2nd crew of patrons. We were seated after my sister and I grabbed one glass of bubbles. 10 minutes passed before we were met with a server who informed us that she wouldn't serve any of us because my sister's friend was "too friendly" It's Friday Night!! Great shows, great fun!! This is the perfect place to do a bachelorette party dinner, especially if your bride likes special treatment and you're willing to pay more for it. Other than that, there is not a single bad seat in this venue and the performers love to draw in the crowd. Highly recommend! read more

DONT GO "VIP", BUT GO! The Can Can puts on an excellent show! Especially the manager, Jeff, who schmoozes inebriated guests (yes, we had too much to drink while we were there) into paying more for a "VIP" experience than the website charges, there is absolutely NO difference in the service, and the seats on the rail are even better. Buyer beware! Also, bring lots of cash because they expect tips, tips and more tips. All that being said...THE SHOW and THE PERFORMERS are great, the music is wonderful...it's sexy, without feeling like you're in a strip club, it's funny, without feeling like your in a bad comedy show and it's TOTALLY "POLITICALLY INCORRECT", which in spite of all the gorgeousness going on before your eyes, is quite possibly the very best part! First the good news and then the bad news... So I've been a big fan of the Castaways since my boyfriend and I had our best valentines day there a year and a half ago and I can't help coming back. It's the cabaret show that I love on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and the dancing is modern, fun, and edgy. There is an element of burlesque to it but I would say it is more modern dance than burlesque. There was a good article in the Stranger a couple weeks ago that explained what it is the dancers are doing at the Can Can and now its funny reading the other reviews and seeing how so many people are saying stuff like "the Burlesque was not that good," or "I've seen better burlesque", which sadly shows that these people don't even know what they are watching. Nonetheless the show is good; otherwise it would not always be packed on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday nights. Artistically, there is nothing it in Seattle; maybe the world. The show incorporates edgy, fun, and sexy acrobatics with skilled dance all jam-packed on a small stage. The newest show, Showpony is the best yet. The costuming, the contraptions, the aerial acrobatics that include flying over the customers in the front row as well as a flying Kung Fu number were astonishing and taken to the next level from previous shows I've seen. The one downside to the show is its success. Its always crowded if I do standing room so I usually do the table option. However last weekend I went in and was sat by a large bachelorette party of at least 20 obnoxious women. (Apparently Can Can is the best place on Earth for a bachelorette party and I understand I only have to deal with it in the summer). Too bad for me. They were loud, already drunk, and the older women were stumbling around, and literally at one point rolling around on the ground next to my table (it was not even 8PM yet). They stood around and blocked the show and at the end they started yelling at their server and not wanting to pay. BAD FORM, LADIES! Could you imagine how difficult it is serving in such a small space while a show is going on with such loud music all at the same time? Anyway, I don't even think they comprehended the show. I realize that people do like to get a little crazy for bachelorette parties but there is a thin line between being a little fun drunk and wild versus being total trashy cheap drunk douche bags. When I left, one of the older women from the party was sitting listlessly down on the sidewalk by herself. I can't tell if the problem is these women don't get out enough or maybe they get out TOO much. Anyway, the show is not only for bachelorettes and PLEASE bachelorettes when you come in try to let the experience be enjoyable for everyone because it's a good date place for me and my boyfriend and we wanna keep it that way! read more

Bad place to see a Burlesque Show! very SMALL and Obstructed views!!!!!! expensive drinks! I will defiantly not be returning!

The place is full of promise and the dancers delivered. Boy, can they dance! The show was fabulous: light, music. The service however killed the entire experience for us. We were there to celebrate engagement, happy couple, a few good friends. We were not too rowdy, didn't drink too much. We did nothing to deserve the treatment we received from one of the wait staff (skinny girl, greasy long hair ). Especially not the couple who chose this specific place for their celebration and brought business to the place. I debated whether to write this review based on one individual, but as she was so exceptionally rude and hostile, she made us uncomfortable, regretting our choice to be there. If the management doesn't see this kind of behavior, it obviously condones it. The staff is a reflection of the business. I would not recommend this to a friend. read more

So the experience we where there for a girls night out! Fun great sexy performance. Bar tenders and host amazing. But our waitress was a night mare if you can't handle a venue and not get orders right this is not your career. So we had a group of 10 You cant split taps nor close out right away. She is a little heavier rude, Then when we told her you messed up on our drink, she said we where cut off. The money was well spent watching the show but order from the bar not a bartender that will try and rip you. read more

Horrible customer service! It took me 4 phone calls just to get tickets for the event. The Can Can forgot to list the date I wanted with their ticketing agency so I had to call the Can Can to request they open the date with the ticketing agency. I was finally able to purchase tickets for a friends birthday but was called the day of the show to tell me the show was cancelled because they didn't sell enought tickets. Seems to me this might have been thier fault for not listing the event in the first place. My friends were on their way to my home when I got the message our tickets had been cancelled. When I called to complain about the late notice I was told I could be refunded. I was shocked that they didn't offer to upgrade our tickets or offer a free app or drink when we come in but they offered NOTHING for this major inconvience. I am shocked by the lack of customer service and am still trying to get my money back for this show. read more

I really *want* to like the Can Can, as the Can Can Castaways are awesome and put on a really fun and creative performance, but the disregard for the customers kind of ruins the experience. I went here for the first time with a group for a friend's bachelorette party and since we had VIP tickets it was a great time. The food was average and I didn't have drinks, so I can't comment on that service. Because of the positive experience I tried going a 2nd time with a friend to a holiday burlesque show there, however this time we didn't have seats, and because Can Can uses an outside service for ticket sales, the venue was oversold and there wasn't even enough standing room for everyone. We were standing in the hallways near the bathroom and the performers and waitstaff kept having to squeeze past all of the customers, and they were definitely not happy about it - nor trying to disguise their unhappiness. So it was awkward, uncomfortable, we couldn't see anything anyways and we left after about 20 minutes. (My friend had to request a refund from the ticket seller later on her own time, as the Can Can didn't claim any responsibility for the situation.) Even after that experience, I had enjoyed the first time so much that I wanted to arrange a birthday party here. I called them a total of 8 times at various times and days within what there website claimed to be office hours, to ask some questions about seating for a larger party, but no one answered the phone on any of my attempts and their was no option to leave a message as their voicemail box was full. So I figured that email may be a better option for customer service inquiries, and 5 days later had received no response back to my email either. Needless to say I'm very disappointed with their lack of customer service, and it seems now after reading a number of disappointed reviews that my initial good experience here was a lucky one and possibly a fluke. I'm a pretty easy going person, and understand small businesses trying to keep up with high demand, but this just seems to be bordering on snobbish - and no matter how good the dancers are, that just doesn't equate to a good time to me. Just as you wouldn't have a show without performers, you won't have a business without a comfortable and satisfied audience after too many disappointments. Good luck with that Can Can. read more

Went to The can can on this past saturday night for a friends birthday party and while I enjoyed myself I was a little upset that we were unable to see most of the show because of the way that the tables are set up for large parties. We had to keep maunerving our bodies the whole time in order to watch, they really need to figure out something else to do with the way the tables were setup. Our waitress was rather slow I fully understand that there were approx 25-30 of us but maybe they need more wait staff on such busy nights. The bus boy in the goth outfit was great I kept thinking he might bite my neck everytime he brought us water. The show of what we could see was wonderful and at the end very interactive. I would recomend this for anyone looking for a fun and exciting night. Ladies I would advise you to bring your own roll of Tp for the restroom there was none in there the whole night :) read more
