Her and her mother gas lit me into staying by saying it's only 2 braids. Well that took an hour. Unfortunately, I was leaving out of town the next day so didn't have too many options and she promised she was going to do a great job - which (as seen in the photos) was a lie. Just to demonstrate how unprofessional Mercy and this Salon is - Service highlights: - I was never greeted had to introduce myself after 10 minutes - she got the wrong color of hair - hair I paid her for. - waited an hour after initial scheduled meeting time - spoke on the phone the whole time - her family showed up to the appointment - started rushing the braiding and was pulling at my scalp (apparently she was running late to something for her daughter) -although she is in the salon but only works at a booth Hair highlights - every strand is uneven - it's parted and cut in a way that makes the hair flop to my face - I have sores on my scalp due to the pulling - cannot put hair in a bun or get the air out of my face because every strand is different. Also took the time to listen to my concerns with the gray streaks not holding color very well. Every step she let me know what she was doing. My hair was a mess of year old professional coloring and at home coloring more recently. This made it difficult to get the exact look I was going for but I knew it may take a couple times before it would be just right. I must say though the result I did get was a beautiful blonde and copper coloring that was better than expected. Rose also trimmed my daughters hair making sure to listen to her concerns about losing length and being very gentle with her head. Rose made us feel comfortable and welcomed to the salon and I will be definitely going back for cuts and colors on both my daughter and myself! So I made my consultation appointment ($25) and got to chat with Mercedes who is super sweet and calm. I then came back for my hair cut which was a deep condition, hair cut, and wash and a quick style of chunky two strand twists to wear after my cut and blow dry ($150). I had about like breast length hair and got the straggly ends cut off and left with a bit past collar bone. She did such a great job, was nice, didn't ask too many questions and let me just relax. I seriously loved it! Definitely recommend ! She also LISTENS and asks lots of questions. The other technicians were also very nice. I got to just work on my laptop to finish homework and the whole process was about 3 hours . Which at first I was apprehensive about the big chunk of time but in the end it made sense with the attention and care she took! Shout out to Mercedes! :) Oh also! They are VERY COVID conscious. You don't enter unless you are being attended to, they don't like guests in and everyone wears a mask. Really appreciated that.
