Excellent experience. South Bay is notorious for hard water. I had James install a whole-house water softener and filtration system, and the job ended up being much more involved than expected. I confirmed an appointment to repair a small section of my ceiling 2 weeks prior through Yelp, so I would be able to take some time off work. The appointment was for 8a-10a on Yelp, so I messaged James at 7:50am to make sure he can find parking in my condo and alerted the doormen to save him a parking spot in the guest lot. At 8:15a, he messages me back that his truck is not functioning and will message in an hour to confirm if he can or cannot fix the ceiling. 2 hours later he messages that he might be able to come back next week to fix it, but he is still unsure. I understand that cars break down, but messaging 15 minutes after an appointment and having to be prompted to respond to a message is very inconvenient. Pretty unreliable overall. read more

He very helpfully walked me through how to get it in a safe spot on the phone, and offered to drop what he was doing to come over right away to fix it. (We paid an emergency fee for the Sunday visit, but overall his price + the fee were reasonable.) He gave me a reasonable quote and was able to come take a look at it the next day. He fixed both issues quickly and I asked him to take a look at a few more things, which he happily looked at and was able to fix for me. One of those things was a stubborn sliding door that was not sliding correctly. He even went out to buy materials and came back to re-install the mount. It was still not sliding correctly, so he came back the next morning to shave down the bottom of the door and re-mount it again. In the end, it was fixed and I am a happy customer! We agreed on a time to which he showed up promptly instead of keeping me waiting. Then agreed to wear shoe covers to keep my floors clean as well as brought with him several rags and towels to catch the grime under my sink as he "snaked" my plumbing with his industrial, 75' snake. After cleaning up a rather smelly and disgusting black goop, James tested my kitchen sink to make sure the clog/gurgling sound no longer occurred. I scheduled with the previous plumber twice and he wouldn't show up or even call to say he wasn't coming. It was a tremendous inconvenience to my tenant, who needed a simple water leak fixed. James scheduled an appointment with me online, showed up on time, and made a valiant effort to make the repair in a timely fashion. But... There was a glitch in the installation, and I was really nervous about having already paid for the services when we discovered the issue a few hours later (anti-scalding temperature setting in the new shower valve didn't allow enough hot water). James demonstrated honor and integrity by volunteering to come back and fix the mistake at no additional charge, without me having to ask. Do you have any idea how rare that is these days? As a business owner who has had, on more than one occasion, to go back and correct a mistake at my own cost I was impressed by his willingness to do so, and frankly his eagerness to make it right.
