    Flavors of ice cream

If you're in the mood for ice cream while walking along the monon trail in Broad Ripple, you have options! Try out Canal Creamery, located just behind Canal Bistro along, you guessed it, the canal! You'll find the walk up window surrounded by light pink walls, bistro tables and hanging ice cream cones. Dips, sundaes, and shakes are available and even fresh baklava. Large selection of flavors, including some sugar-free and vegan options. The pistachio almond was delicious! Prices are great and scoops are huge!

Nicest employees ever! They were so enthusiastic and friendly, saying they couldn't wait for us to try the baklava sundae because it's that amazing. This spot is owned by Canal Bistro next door, so they make the baklava fresh daily. I don't even have a huge sweet tooth but the baklava sundae was worth it. Definitely give it a try! It's huge and you can share it with at least one other person, if not two. They also have a baklava milkshake, as well as all of your traditional flavors, cones, root beer floats, etc. This spot is located right on the canal and faces the canal, so you won't see it from the street. There are a couple seats outside but it's just a walk-up window, so I recommend enjoying it while you walk the cute streets. So happy this place opened!

What a cute little ice cream shop! I didn't even know this was here. I rode my bike there and met a couple that was just finishing up and leaving. First the woman recommended the baklava sundae and then when the husband joined us, he said the same thing. I wanted a "kid size" but they unfortunately don't offer that so I opted for a shake that I could drink and continue to ride. I had the baklava shake and it was tasty! The flavor kind of reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Definitely will venture back this way for another treat sometime and I'll bring my doggies for a pup cup they offer!

Excellent ice cream near the canal! A variety of flavors and the staff is friendly and quick!

Very cute little spot right off the Monon! We stopped here before dinner while we waited for our table to be ready and it was a nice way to pass the time and have a snack while walking the Monon trail. I got the moose tracks + vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone and both flavors were soft, creamy, and decadent. My husband got the baklava shake and it was smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. Each of the dogs got a pup cup that came with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream, and some bone treats. They were a hit! This is a walk-up window ordering situation, so it is "pet friendly" in that aspect. It has a few tables and chairs up against the building to sit and enjoy your snack or you can hop right on the Monon and get your steps in while you snack.

    Baclava Sunday

Stopped by on a sunny afternoon for some treats. Kids had chocolate kids cups with sprinkles and we shared the baclava Sunday, which was so rich and delicious. The house made baclava base was beyond delicious - the ice cream took it over the top. Service was friendly and prompt, and the outdoor seating area was cute and welcoming.

I'm giving it 5 stars for the super friendly staff, the cute setting, nice location on the canal and the amazing baklava sundae! The ice cream itself is ok, but put it in that sundae and it's a 5 star dessert! My only complaint - since it's hand dipped ice cream, the plastic spoons need to be a little sturdier

What a unique ice cream shop! We are ice cream fanatics but sometimes want something different and this is where canal creamery fits in! Love that we're supporting a small business, but also minority owned! The baklava sundae is heavenly! It's not super sweet, and not too over powering. The cappuccino shake is my second favorite! The exterior is decorated so nicely, I'd love to take out of state visitors here!

First time at canal creamery and will officially be our ice cream spot this summer!!!! The decor outside is just dreamy and so cute for photos. It's right on the canal so great for a date night. There's a few seating options and it wasn't too crowded when we went. We ordered from the window as we were greeted by extremely friendly staff! This is such a local gem and I'm so excited to have this place in the broad ripple area

The view and environment is just the cutest and the staff is so kind and friendly. It was the perfect afternoon to try this spot out! I was able to try the Baklava sundae and the waffle cone with 2 scoops (moose tracks & cookies & cream). The baklava sundae was delicious with the vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on top of the fresh baklava! The ice cream alone didn't blow me away. It was fine. If I was eating close by- I would go back for the great vibes, friendly staff, and the Baklava Sundae!

After going to a Yelp event and enjoying the ice cream so much I came back for another round of soft, smooth, and cool ice cream! Something about the raspberry sorbet was so calming and quenching on my palette! Service was nice, and fast which I appreciate! Sat and enjoyed ice cream in their seating area. Honestly, I'll be back again!

Single scoop of moose tracks was icey and not creamy - below average for an ice cream shop. Good portion sizes.

I ordered the hot chocolate... just one sip and wow, I already knew. This jumped straight to the number one spot for me. Best hot chocolate I've had in the States, no question. The flavor was deep and full. You get those darker, slightly nutty notes right away, then it settles into this smooth, creamy finish that just stays with you. Every sip hits the same, and it just keeps pulling you back in. The whipped cream on top melts right into it and adds a little extra sweetness without taking away from the chocolate. The whole drink felt like an experience. I even asked how they make it and found out they use actual chocolate bars... makes sense. 100% worth it. And definitely be coming back for more.

There are so many different types of chocolates, candies, desserts, coffees, hot chocolate, ice cream and little fancies for any kind of sweet tooth. I got the Cherry Jubilee Hot Chocolate which literally tasted like a warm chocolate covered cherry. It was so divine. Perfect for the cold weather. We got a little assortment of goodies which included candied blueberries, candied cherries, old fashioned toffee bars and dark chocolate covered citrus peels. The blueberries were the perfect pop of fruitiness. Who knew such a little thing could have so much flavor and put a huge smile on your face. The cherries were tart and sweet and so delectable. The chocolate covered citrus pill was the perfect flavor combination. I love orange and chocolate. It was such a treat to go there. The service was great.
