I tried Cancelliere Pizzeria on the recommendation of my brother in law while we were visiting Kerhonkson and it blew me away. We ordered two pizzas with each side a different type of pizza. I ordered the CBR (Chicken Bacon Ranch) and the Chicken Parm pizza on one and Red Hawaiian and Brooklyn on the other. All were great but the CBR and the Chicken were absolutely spectacular. The thin crust is cooked to perfection--crispy, light, and structured just right. Every single topping tasted incredibly fresh, creating an amazing balance of flavors that truly sets this place apart. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is fantastic. The owners were welcoming, warm, and so much fun to talk to. They clearly care about their craft and their customers. I am seriously impressed and will definitely be back when I next visit. We were staying at the campground nearby and wanted 'real' NYC style pizza. We stopped in my girlfriend and I each had a slice; buffalo chicken for me, pepperoni for her. The pizza was delicious! I would have eaten it much fast if the staff hadn't been so friendly - we spoke for almost a half hour while they gave us tips on the area. The pizza was so good we got a whole pie for dinner that night; the 'everything' pizza this time. It was so delicious we got another on our way out of town. We came in last night about an hour before closing time. Friendly guy making our pizza (I think the owner). We talked about Vegas and poker while we waited for our pizza. I go to this pizza shop fairly often. The pizza isn't bad but they're really cheap on the toppings.

Order wings and pizza and was disappointed. The wings were huge which was nice but they were soggy and didn't seem to be fried long enough or properly. The pizza was just mediocre, nothing that would make me want to come back. read more

I guess you need to know what you want or just order a basic pizza. No real menu. No frills. Feels like you need to know the owner to "fit in" and get what you want. The guy behind the counter has no people skills whatsoever. But I wasn't looking for people skills. The dough was amazing. Just the right amount of chewy. The pepperoni is oily. The sausage has a unique flavor. Could have used more sauce. My pizza was lacking. $27 for one medium sausage and one medium pep. Don't know if I'll go back. I've loved the pizza here for a very long time! Their pepperoni pizza is especially good. It might be a little saucy for some people, but it's perfect for me. Their Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches are rather pricey though. Also, I really miss the fighting arcade games they used to have in the back. It's a shame those are gone. If you go, be aware that the parking lot does have a rather steep hill which opens onto Route 209. I've personally never had an issue with the owner or any of the staff there. They do have a wide selection of sodas there, all cooled, but I don't remember if they have alcohol or not. A good pizza place all around! read more

I have lived in this area for a very long time and have been to this place many times. Over the years I have seen portions get smaller and smaller. A large chef's salad become a small but not the price. I ordered a hero with lettuce and tomatoes, I received ONE piece of lettuce and TWO paper thin sliced tomatoes. Order an extra cheese pizza. Picked it up it smelled burnt. Opened the box the cheese was all black and crispy. The crust was blackened.
