Sooo much fun. They staff was amazing. All you can eat and drink all day. We had mimosa in the morning with breakfast. Lunch by the outside pool and dinner in the inside pool. Out rooms were immaculate and space. We got a suit which was totally worth it. We walked along side the beach and just enjoyed out days there in the jacuzzi with Pedro.

Most of the staff is very friendly. This one bartender is very outgoing & creates a fun environment. Our suite was clean. No bed bugs, we checked per other reviews we saw that claimed they had them. Our suite did not. They did only have a sheet though. Just glad it was clean. I will say when we first checked in we got a suite that had no working bathrooms but went right away to let the front desk know & they moved us immediately & apologized. We got the massage offered at this place it was 30.00 for 25mins. The ladies did a good job on that. The areas this place is lacking in are #1.) The food ...is lacking in Temperature, variety & taste. Every night pastas, rice, chicken of some sort & fish but nothing outstanding everything needs more seasoning & salt. They never seem to have Mexican food at all & for coming to Mexico you really need to have more Mexican options at the very minimum beans!! Not just American food like spaghetti, rice, potatoes, veggies, but honestly the food seems like left overs everyday. Also they had a sushi night 1 night ...you have to make reservations ahead like in the AM or you are not allowed in. But don't bother we all got food poisoning from it, it was nothing like sushi! The miso soup was more like soy sauce gravy with ramen, yes they put ramen in miso soup. The sushi rolls are 2 small pieces, the spring rolls miniature ..like super small. The yakasobi noodles same thing super salty like gravy sauce. On top of it all they rush you thru your meal & you have to order everything from the start like your appetizer, entree & dessert. Our guy didn't tell us this either. 2.) The beach is a very small space for this resort. To have beach access in Cancun it has to be thru a resort unless you go to dolphin beach. (You have to travel to get to dolphin beach it's a public beach & pack food & drinks) If everyone wanted to be in the water at the same time here at the resort you wouldn't be able to it probably fits 100 people max 50 on each side & I feel like I'm being generous. The water is waist deep on top of it to! You are restricted by boats & a dock. We booked our reservation before looking at any YouTube videos on Cancún, or the yelp reviews otherwise I can guarantee you that we would have definitely booked differently! On our first day here some guy did get drunk & got in some kinda fight at the pool, then was out in front of the resort & couldn't even stand up. Not the hotels fault but again you get what you pay for. This is definitely more like a hotel not a resort! we also asked that they not provide room srvc during our stay & they entered our room while we were gone. They left waters & I don't know if they looked around, nothing was gone but we specifically asked for them not to enter our room. We did not leave any cash at anytime due to other yelp reviews. Spend a little more so you can enjoy the beach more & enjoy your meals! We had to start eating out because we couldn't handle the food at this place anymore. One night we resorted to just eating all our snack food that we had bought. (Pictured) Which stinks cause you are paying for all inclusive so you would actually like to be able to enjoy your meals.

If you want to see what cancun police station looks like inside stay at cancun bay resort

Do not stay here! Had all of our money stolen out of the safe and aspen by the whole day in the police station! Plus if that's not bad enough the food is DISGUSTING!

Check in was easy. The room is ROH, king bed with balcony and view of HVAC. That is typical since the resort charges more for views of the ocean and pools. There are two pools and steps from the pool is the ocean marina. What a great backdrop while sipping the first cup of coffee. The guest room is clean, bright and fresh. There is a safe, mini fridge and stocked with complementary juice and water. I am visiting for five nights and will post a review each day.

If you are planing to visit Cancun along with family This resort is a MUST!! My husband and 4 children and I stayed here. They have the best service here. Buffet , all you can drink beverages and alcohol. Two Huge POOLS. Water front views. Workers at super super friendly and very HARD WORKING people. Always tip them and we did. Great evening entertainment shows by the pool. We really love this place. If you're planning to visit make trips, there's always city buses every 4 mins. Don't take taxis in front of the hotel. They will charge you a lot.

If you're looking to stay at the resort the entire time , this is not the place for you.. We were not and this resort served its purpose. We stayed for 6 days and would absolutely stay again. We ate breakfast there daily and was happy with the options. One day they made taco truck style tacos on the grill by the pool and they were delicious! Dinner was different everyday and the days we did eat there, we were happy with the options . The staff we encountered daily within resort were all really friendly and genuine.. no one gave off an attitude of " this is my job, I have to " .. they genuinely were happy to help. Even though the beds were not very comfy , I had no trouble sleeping . At times could be very noisy , but usually died down around 11 . This is located near the top of the hotel zone . The ferry to isla mujeres is walking distance .. maybe 10 minutes . Great restaurant La hijas de la tostada is across the street and taxis are always nearby. We would stay again because it's not nearly as expensive as others, it's convenient for us that want to see what else Cancún has to offer and because the staff was so nice and friendly. Better beds and opening the bar earlier would be nice though lol

Although the place looks update with its decor and architecture the buffet and service has not. The buffet is less than optimal offering with a minimal selection. However, they did have a great self serve ice cream machine, which was a plus. This minimal selection is throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Looking for a morning mimosa to get your vacation going? Make sure to wake up after 11AM which is when the resort starts serving alcohol. The whole mini resort shuts down around 10:30. Our room over looked the middle pool which, had a show we could watch from our balcony, this was a plus. However, make sure to get your drink before heading up to the room as they don't offer a bar menu for in room dining. If you're looking a place to sleep and has a pool with limited service and buffet options for a very reasonable price then choose here. However, if you are a first time Cancun visitor I suggest staying on the beach side of Cancun instead of the Bay Area. The beach side area is what you see in tourism commercials and on social media. My wife and I cam for a family reunion. We plan to come back and get the full Cancun experience by staying on the beach side. Resort Pros and Cons Cons - $10 fee late check out - No alcohol serving before 11AM - Limited buffet - Location (off the strip/Bay Area) - One room key per room - Lost bracelet. $100 fee - Wi-Fi is spotty, drops service, passwords change regularly. Pros - Friendly staff - Good AC in rooms - Family fun pool activities - Gym looks up to date (didn't use) - Affordable prices

Still stuck outside in my nightgown.

Just read the bad reviews, everyone is not lying. This place was Horrible! Food is horrible, rooms are outdated and they will steal your money. horrible customer service, and poor leadership. I Canceled my week long reservation within the first couple hours because we got no room service, poor service, kept getting locked out of our room, they ignored us and no one was available to assist us. Anytime we asked for a manager to assist us they kept saying they were in a meeting. If you have an emergency, good luck getting help, the phones in the rooms did not work. We paid for cabana service and bottles and didn't receive it. The resort is more for old retired people it's super boring and everything shuts down early. And because I decided to end my stay early and go to another resort, they over charged me, was super rude and assaulted my family member and child. Called the police who were not helpful because we didn't speak Spanish and threatened to arrest us after the hotel staff put their hands on my child. Stay clear away from this place at all cost if you want to have a good vacation in Mexico. They refused to give us a invoice for what they overcharged us for, I gave them my email and still have not received an invoice or a breakdown of the charges. Worst experience EVER! We are all still traumatized!

The spa was fantastic, offering step-by-step guidance through the dry sauna, steam room, and both warm and cool pools-such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel sits right on the beach with breathtaking views and features several pools, including one with a fun swim-up bar. Dining options were excellent, with several restaurants to choose from, including Mediterranean, Mexican, buffet, Asian, sushi, steakhouse, and American cuisine. Our room was fantastic, with a rainfall shower, comfortable beds, prompt housekeeping, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service. We also enjoyed live entertainment and a night club on the property, yet it remained wonderfully quiet when we wanted to relax. We loved the aromatherapy --it was such a thoughtful touch. The location is very convenient: close to a pharmacy, just across the street from a shopping mall with a mix of upscale and casual dining and shops, and only 10-15 minutes from Cancun's vibrant club zone. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This is not a party resort. When we were there, there was a karaoke night and a DJ in one of their lounges, but it was never crowded and the events ended early or people just left early. The 1st room we stayed in was HORRIBLE! We couldn't sleep. There was a loud rumbling sound coming from the huge air conditioning units right outside balcony. Ear plugs did not help. We talked to 3 other people also complaining about the noise from their rooms also. We were so thankful to Eileen/Aileen at the front desk for moving us. She let us view 3 rooms that were available. We went from a partial ocean view room with a king bed on the 2nd floor to a garden view (actually just the alley with trees) with 2 queen beds on the 1st floor. There was no noise whatsoever! Yaaaay! The person booking excursions could be more friendly. He seemed uninterested and looked bored. Whenever we saw him speaking to other guests, he really looked bored or tired. ONE STAR for the spa. We arrived 15 minutes early for a couples massage. My husband was led to the men's side and I was taken to the women's side. The young lady leading the way, paused at the locker room but led me directly to the quiet room. I was fully dressed and had all my belongings with me. Everyone else was in robes. Why wasn't I given a locker to store my things and a robe to change into??? I was so upset and felt so out of place. When my husband met me in the quiet room he was as confused as I was as to why I was still fully dressed. We were led to the massage room and I asked AGAIN about changing into a robe and storing my things. One of the masseuses said I didn't need to. WTF? So I undressed and piled my clothes onto an ottoman. I could not relax. The music was too loud and inappropriate. Why are you playing music with someone singing loudly? When it was over, it took me a while to calm down. We paid for shit service?! We came back and spoke to Jessica at the desk. She was also confused and concerned about the whole lock and robe ordeal. She offered a discounted spa treatment the next day but we were leaving. I wouldn't have taken it anyway. Overall, the staff was AMAZING! Please recognize them! They worked really hard to make our stay enjoyable. Get to know the staff and tip them well. Thank you to Jose at Egos who made sure our hands always had a drink in them; Carlos at Varenna for the house special cocktails; Miguel who took care of us while we relaxed on the beachside cabana. He was so attentive, personable and funny. Alejandro at the poolside bar made us laugh, Israel at Azur for the honest feedback when we had questions about the dinner menu, and Cesar at Hidden Garden who helped us figure out what was what in the darkness of the dining area. One that note, why is it so dark at Hidden Garden during the dinner service? We had to use the flashlights on our phones to read the menu and see our food. Fernando at the Siete breakfast buffet was awesome! We watched him smoothly take care of so many tables. We never felt neglected despite all the tables and people he was tending to. Lulu (Lou Lou?) is AMAZING, FUNNY and ENTERTAINING! We were lost the 1st night we arrived. He stopped what he was doing to personally escorted us to Azur in the darkness, around all the pools. We ran into him several times during our stay. He always made sure we were ok and having a good time. His energy is unmatched! Thank you to Omar, from the Concierge desk. He welcomed us when we arrived and gave us so much information about the resort. It seemed like he works everywhere. We saw him at different places in the resort. Maryam from the Concierge Desk! She was an angel. She really listened to all of our concerns. She was so friendly and funny. Even when our stay was over and we were waiting for our ride, she offered drinks and food to take with us to the airport. She definitely put a smile back on my face.

Of course. I only added Eddie into the service section and left everything else the same…read more I have gone back and forth on writing this review because there are so many things this resort does well, but overall my experience did not quite match the expectations I had from previous Hyatt stays. This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

We did our homework before our trip and saw Zilara Cancun had good/decent reviews about their food. Let me tell you, this is probably the best food I've had in a long long time. Top dishes for me are the octopus with mole and lobster tostada from Maria Marie. If you like/can eat seafood, trust me on this. The drinks are phenomenal as well. There are signature drinks at all the restaurants. Those are mostly hits but some are misses (depends on your taste buds) PRO TIP: sign up for alcohol tastings at The Den first day you get there. We did tequila and wine tasting. It was quite a unique experience. SERVICE I've never gotten treated like this in any hotel I've been at. Chef's kiss for sure. The bellhop/front desk usually can break your 20s/100s into 1s so don't feel the need to exchange pesos (unless you want to of course). The workers at the hotel (and around Cancun overall) takes USD PRO TIP: there are a lot of activities hosted by the hotel. Morning exercise classes are really fun and the night shows are just okay. The crowd is definitely on the older side that just want to come to Cancun and chill not party. From hearing the reviews, Zilara had the most amount of activities from various first hand reviews from our friends All in all, solid resort. You won't regret it!

We just returned from an 8-day, 7-night stay in an Excellence Club Ocean View Swim-Up suite, and I…read morecan confidently say we will never book another room type again. The Excellence Club experience is absolutely worth it and made our vacation feel even more special. What keeps us coming back to Excellence Riviera Cancun isn't just the beautiful resort, comfortable rooms, or incredible food, it's the people. The staff genuinely treats you like family and makes you feel cared for from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. We made it to every restaurant during our stay, and the dining exceeded our expectations. Magna's tomahawk steak was phenomenal, but Basmati completely stole our hearts. It was hands down our favorite restaurant, and the food was a 15/10. We were talking about going back before we had even finished our meal. The service is what truly sets this resort apart. Amable went above and beyond every single day. She quickly learned who we were, remembered what we liked, and always took the time to chat with us and make us feel special. By the end of the trip, she felt like family. Saying goodbye was incredibly emotional. She gave me the biggest hug before we left and told us she couldn't wait to see us again in January. She truly made our vacation unforgettable. Joel was another standout. We bonded over our love of reading, but what impressed us most was the care he put into making each day special. Every morning, our daybed was perfectly prepared before we even arrived, with towels laid out and everything ready for us to relax. He remembered that we were celebrating our anniversary, and he and Raul surprised us with the sweetest towel art in our room to celebrate. After noticing how much I loved fresh coconuts, Joel started bringing one to me every afternoon without me even asking. It's those thoughtful little touches that turn a great vacation into an unforgettable one. Excellence Riviera Cancun continues to set the standard for what an all-inclusive resort should be. Between the exceptional staff, delicious food, beautiful accommodations, and the added benefits of Excellence Club, it's become our favorite place to vacation. The biggest compliment we can give is that we were already planning our next trip before this one ended. We'll be back in January, and I'm sure many more times after that. Thank you to everyone at ERC for another unforgettable stay. We already can't wait to come home.

All of the restaurants are great, my favorites were Basmati and Spice. The only room for improvement: I wish there were healthier options available by the pools do lunch. The taco truck is great but doesn't open until 4pm.. a little late for lunch. I don't want fries/hotdog/burger/nachos for lunch. The Linux buffet was great, but it would've been nice to have a salad or tacos by the pool. Loved the shows and trivia every night! Can't wait to go back.

Food was surprisingly better than I expected. I stay at the Sunrise, which is the middle (Nizu more budget and Grand is the high end). It was perfect, there were plenty of activities for the little ones and nice shows for the adults. The restaurants consist of several all you can eat and several sit down restaurants. The nicer sit down restaurants, you'll want to reserve in advance and bring some nice cloths. I spent several mornings going to their gym, the coach is super friendly. I took some of their fitness class - kickboxing and physical fitness. The coach does their best to cater towards your physical fitness. I was lucky one morning to be the only person there, so I got a one on one experience, love it! I would definitely go back in the future. Short drive from the airport as well. You should download their app since it gives you all of their information and restaurants, reservations times, etc. Just watch out when you check in and check out, there's some sales folks who will try to hustle you. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other travelers deserve to know about our experience…read more We booked through a member referral because we were promised a $400 cash promotion. Unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely disappointing. We spent almost an entire day attending presentations and listening to staff explain the promotion and membership. Instead of enjoying our vacation, we lost valuable vacation time. In the end, it felt like the promotion was designed to get us into a long sales presentation, and we left feeling completely misled. The most upsetting part was how my husband was treated. The staff repeatedly asked him if he spoke English and whether he understood what they were saying. Because he does not speak English, we were told we did not qualify for the $400 cash promotion. It was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and made us feel like we were being judged because of the language we speak. If speaking English is a requirement for this promotion, it should be clearly disclosed before guests book their stay or before they spend hours attending a presentation. This would save people from wasting their vacation time and avoid unnecessary frustration. Another disappointment was the lack of activities for older children. At both Nizuc and Sunrise, there was very little for kids around 9 years old to do outside of the swimming pools. If your children enjoy activities beyond swimming, they may become bored. We came to Moon Palace expecting a relaxing family vacation, but instead we spent hours in a sales presentation and left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and misled. Based on our experience, we will not be returning to Moon Palace. I also cannot recommend this resort to friends or family. I hope Moon Palace becomes more transparent about its promotions and treats all international guests with equal respect, regardless of the language they speak.

Marie, Frank and America = the ultimate trio butlers to have during your stay…read moreWe ran into Marie more often and absolutely just loved her warmth and hospitality Everything here is everything you need. From beautiful sunrise to sunset, it's a must come. Mercado Buffet - (as pictured) the woman who was there everyday when I was there, was the bomb! Made tacos so promptly and they were so yummy. Definitely I looked forward to every morning! Habanero - Rafael M., we saw him on our last day. But never have I ever seen anyone so hard in such hot weather and be grateful to meet, greet, serve so many people and still put a smile on his face. If we went the beginning of our trip, I don't doubt we would have been there every single day because of him! The Spa - CESAR! Sofia and Sara are the people you need to cross paths. Cesar is the one who got us in. Never did he rush us, he wanted us to enjoy our time at the pool and he circled back with kindness. And that's the only reason why we committed to the spa! Sofia and Sara were our people at the Spa, and boy did they put in work! I felt so relaxed and decompressed at the end of our trip because of them!!! Tradewinds - Araceli, the one who made our last day special. I told her it was our last day, and she brought the whole staff to sing and had us wear a big sombrero! It was so heartwarming and it made my heart sink, and did not make me want to leave!! The French restaurant is also a must! Loved the potato leek soup and the lamb rack. The Italian restaurant had amazing cheese mushroom pizza! I've been to Hyatt Los Cabo's, and the one thing Cancun didn't have was to go boxes due to regulations. The dolphins are such a cute thing to wake up to and was such a nice thing to do for family and people! We stayed at the Turquoise building. Loved the bath outside the room! It was my birthday, and my boyfriend and the staff really made it beyond special. From roses to balloons, to cards, to the simplest reminder of all them knowing it was my birthday and wishing me the best. You will hear a lot of, welcome family or hi family. Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

It definitely does not make me want to return back to Atelier. The management such as Gabriel & Diego need some serious help & more training in management skills. They should train under Forbes Hospitality Training Program like the managers/staff at Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. Go there if you want exceptional stellar guest services. Every mgr & staff person @ RC GC go over beyond for each of their guests. We chose this property to celebrate our wedding anniversary, a special occasion we had hoped would reflect in the exceptional hospitality and attention to detail for which this resort is known. As seasoned travelers who regularly stay at five-star luxury properties around the world, we understand that occasional issues can arise; however, what distinguishes an exceptional resort is how effectively those issues are resolved. The issues we feel in this case were not resolved during our stay. Shortly after checking in early July, we discovered that the toilet seat was loose & unstable, shifting significantly during use and creating both discomfort and a potential safety concern. My spouse actually fell off of the toilet seat. We promptly reported this issue in person to the front desk & were informed that the maintenance team will address it, but the problem remained unchanged. The toilet seat was never fixed during our entire stay. The lack of proper follow-through on such a basic maintenance matter was disappointing & not what we expected from this luxury resort especially during our special anniversary celebration. A more frustrating issue occurred the afternoon before our departure day. After spending the whole, hot & humid day at the pool, we returned to our room wet, sweaty & sticky ready to shower only to find that our room key fob had been deactivated. We were locked out of our room in wet swimsuits hot & uncomfortable. There are no phones around in the hallways to call the front desk. Due to the very large size of this resort, we then had to walk a considerable distance back to the front desk to have our key fobs reactivated. This inconvenience could have been avoided. We asked why both of our key fobs had been deactivated prematurely & we received no response. These issues reflect lapses in both maintenance follow-through, guest service & guest experiences. At a property of this caliber, guests reasonably expect reported issues to be properly resolved & room access to remain available until the designated checkout date & time. Atelier Playa Mujeres was on the 2025 Forbes Travel Guide & its reputation for luxury & exceptional hospitality were the reasons why we decided to stay there for our first time. There are many other luxury resorts such as Nizuc, Le Blanc or Live Aqua in Cancun competing & vying for the same category of repeat guests. Whilst there were aspects of our stay that we enjoyed, these avoidable service failures significantly affected our overall anniversary experience. After checking out & whilst waiting in the lobby for our transportation, Diego Gonazalez, the front desk manager approached us to ask about a couple of issues we experienced during our stay. Upon listening to our concerns & praises to some of their staff, we felt dismissed and not taken seriously after speaking with him. Diego was not effective at all in addressing our issues at all. Because we were displeased & frustrated with a lack of response from Diego, we asked for the General Manager's e-mail hoping that the future guests will not experience what we did. What a waste of time! On a positive note, the food here is above average with many offerings in various restaurants. Need reservations for most of them. Los Abrazos was our favorite. There are some rock star staff at this resort: Byron (bellhop), Gerardo (Los Abrazos), and Alfonso (main pool waiter).
