We arrived a little after 5pm. Not another soul inside - hmmm, is this a sign that this isn't good? We were seated by a young lady who literally slapped the menus down on r table and walked off. Husbands dinner was supposed to come with rice and beans and he received neither. The shredded chicken was dry and the guacamole was runny. Walking along the strip in VA Beach and this restaurant was only a few blocks down from our hotel. We wanted to grab from drinks and their margaritas were a very fair price. And they were tasty ! Of course you get chips and salsa... salsa has a kick but good! I got a quesadilla that had chicken shrimp and steak. It came with rice and salad. Very good. Only thing is it is slightly pricey for a Mexican restaurant. But being that it was good, no complainants. I did notice on the menu that they charge $1 for takeout and if you have additional baskets of chips and salsa, it's $2.99. Not sure how much that is enforced. read more

Location is perfect. Right on Atlantic ave. I am giving 3 stars as the food was good. Margaritas had more margarita mix and less liquor but the presentation was good. They try their best to serve you but in my opinion need some training in customer service. They can do much better than that. Decor is nice but this place need more lighting inside. When you walk in, no one notice you. After 3-5 min, someone came and seated us. Then again a long wait to take your orders. Before taking orders they make you aware that they will accept only cash. Although it closes at 10 pm but seems like they start wrapping up around 9.20 pm. Staff is nice though. Putting a music in the back would also add a hype... it seems like a sad place. read more

My spouse and I shared fajitas. It was a rather generous portion but they only gave us two tortillas each. When requested more and they said that it would cost extra. The flavor was average. The service was middling. Our waiter had trouble understanding simple requests like "more tortillas, please." Also, I felt rushed by the bus staff. They started clearing our table (accidentally) before our meal arrived. But the most annoying thing was that although they advertised "kids eat free" on Monday, they put our child's meal on the check anyhow. When we asked him to correct it, the waiter told us that we would have to pay at the front counter. When I asked the manager why this special treatment was necessary, he was unapologetic. Essentially he either doesn't trust his servers and wants to make it difficult for patrons to redeem an advertised special. This delayed my party's departure. All of this left us aggravated and unlikely to return for a second visit. read more

Nothing a little patience and pointing cannot solve. The chips were good, the salsa just below average but the best part of the meal was the sour cream!!! they add something to it that makes it awesome! (garlic and cilantro???) The margarita was strong, but lacked flavor (a females perspective). We had the Texans fajitas which sounds great (chicken, steak, and shrimp) but overall lacked flavor and the shrimp was especially bland. Service was pretty good and those Russian girls try really hard with limited English and very little understanding of the food they are serving. They are pleasant and working hard so be kind... The drinks were really good and strong! The food was extremely average if not a little below. The stars are mainly for the very good service and the drinks. Our hostess was very accommodating to where we wanted to sit, and our waitress was very friendly and polite! Our food and drinks both came out in a very timely matter, and she was super quick to refill any empty glasses. The ceviche was somewhat disappointing because it was not traditional ceviche (raw fish, served as an appetizer) rather, cooked seafood and tomatoes as a main course. It was very small, and should've been an appetizer. The chicken (unknown name of dish) was VERY over cooked and seasoned, as was the rice and beans. Every dish was also overly smothered in queso/faux cheese sauce. Another disappointment was the corn tortillas, which you couldn't substitute for flour ones :( Overall, we probably would never come back. Nor would I recommend eating here, but definitely head over for some margaritas. read more
