I went to the restaurant with my mom! She got a quesadilla and I bought pork tacos! The guy was very nice at the cash register and whatnot but as soon as I got home to taste my food. The pork tacos were not delicious, meat wasn't even seasoned!!! The rice was overcooked and the beans were nasty. I called and left a complaint but the guy who works there (same guy from the cash register) was hesitant at first and didn't know how to handle the situation and just said "sorry". I am in absolute shock at how horrendous the food was that we received. It was our first and last visit. The pork in the el pastor tacos was grey and chewy--completely inedible. The refried beans were liquid and resemblant of something from a sick baby's diaper. Chips were stale. Cheese enchiladas had a rubbery cheese inside. The "queso" appeared to be made of an imitation velveeta. I didn't take any pictures and immediately returned our bag of food to the restaurant. I hate to hurt a small business with a review like this, but this was a complete disappointment and waste of my time and money. I lived in California for my first 47 years. I regularly grazed on amazing Mexican food. I moved to Lowell, Mass in 2013. Shortly after they opened, we visited this resraurant. Two things will never leave my brain. 1. They said they made their own salsa. Fresh. Then I watched someone glug salsa out of a giant plastic jug into one of their dishes. 2. Someone at a neighboring table had ordered Fajitas. What they brought to their table was the Fajita meat and veggies loaded onto a bed of french fries. I'm not making this up. 30 minutes to fulfill a to-go order of just 2 a la carte items I ordered off the menu at the restaurant, and when I finally got it home, there were water chestnuts, grey celery, leathery sugar snap peas and overcooked broccoli in the veggie mix inside of the veggie burritos. The packaged flour tortillas gave off a sour, stale odor, encasing extremely salty, cold yellow rice that crunched in my teeth. That clearly frozen vegetable mix I mentioned above smelled like it'd gone bad in an old, stinky refrigerator or freezer before they were reheated for a minute or two on the flat top. Okay so we pass this small Mexican place every day and we always wanted to try this place and finally today we did. So we arrive and the staff was very sweet and nice welcoming feeling. Very clean place too. I ordered the Spicy Shrimp with rice and salad. The portions was great but the shrimp was way too salty for my taste it was overpowering of salt I asked for water. The rice was a vegetable rice it was a bit bland and too over cooked for my liking. The side salad was a tossed cabbage and not with their house dressing nope they brought me Kraft Italian dressing. My son ordered the steak tacos with rice and refried beans the tacos he loved and the refried beans were not good it had a weird taste of iron but he didn't eat it. But he did like the steak tacos. Use to enjoy going here for a tase of authentic Mexican/Colombian food. Unfortunately, the last two times I have went it has been horrible. The lady on the phone tells you 20 minutes, you go there in 20 mins and wait an additional 20 mins to get food. The food has gone way down hill and is terrible now. The rice is so hard you could break your teeth. It is the rice that they scrape off the bottom of the pan. The "beans" were just a brown soupy mess with no texture at all. Hopefully this place can get it back to the way it use to be. Pay good money for absolute garbage food. When I want empanadas, this is the place that I go to. Although the name suggests it's a Mexican restaurant, it also has a Colombian menu that they give to customers. I'd highly recommend getting the beef empanadas with extra aji picante. This sauce is a zesty and spicy sauce made from vinegar, jalapenos, cilantro, lime, and scallions. The pan De bono is also fantastic (cheese bread). Don't expect anything fancy, but the food is great. read more

Sitting in a quiet street mall in Dracut, this place with their Colombian menu is like a hidden gem to me. I always come here for their beef empanadas. Combined with the green sauce they have, I think it's called ahi picante, these empanadas are awesome! Their colombian menu is also superb. The spicy sausage that comes in some of the items in that menu is out of the world. Today I ordered Bandeja Paisa that had that sausage, plus chicharrón and steak and a big bowl of Colombian pinto beans. It was like a tray full of delicious flavors. I've tried this place 5 times in the past few months. The biggest problem with this place is inconsistency. The dishes are never the same, not true to the menu descriptions. In one order I asked for enchiladas with green sauce. There was no sauce whatsoever on my enchiladas. All those two lonely rolled up chicken taquitos had was a little melted cheese. Please you are a Mexican restaurant ... you can't serve sauce-LESS enchiladas... it's just unforgivable. The rice we were served was different than last time, which isn't necessarily a problem, but this rice was hard! They scrapped the pot good and gave us all that crusty hard rice. The refried beans were a soupy flavorless mess. Why did I get black beans and my partner got refried beans? We ordered identical dishes... I don't write this to hurt the establishment's feelings, but god damn, please learn your menu and stick to a recipe. Also if you're going to charge $1.00 for takeout containers you really need to step up your effort. It was clear that low quality ingredients were used to make our meal . The part that really bothered me was a guy who looked like the owner was loitering around looking important while workers behind the kitchen door worked like bees. This is a strip mall place with 4 tables! They poured the salsa out of a jar in the cooler right out front. Probably bought it at Hannaford. Went here for lunch the other day. Really cute place. Clean. Super friendly. Started with chips and salsa. Then shared a plate of chicken nachos. The chicken was amazing! So moist, sweet, tender. My three friends had the cheese quesadilla, the chicken quesadilla, and the fish tacos off the Mexican menu. They raved about their dishes. I chose a dish off the Colombian menu. I was so hopeful that this restaurant would be good. In retrospect it was a stupid hope. Dracut has some of the worst food in the state, and I had no reason to think this place would be any better. To be fair I never ate any of the food on the menu. I could not get past the chips and salsa. I am 95% sure it was Tostitos salsa, but if you are going to use store bought tortilla chips why not spring for the Tostitos chips too? I might have looked past the chips and salsa, but one look of the menu told me this place has no clue about Mexican food. This place is run by a really good, nice Columbian family who know how to prepare Latin fare very, very well. The buffalo chicken quesadilla is not only cheap, but is loaded with cheese and will not leave you feeling empty. The chicken fajitas are top notch as well, and from what I hear, the deserts are awesome too. I am actually from the Cancun area and went here on a whim. The pleasant surprise is that this place outdos most of the eateries in my hometown. It's destined to be noticed by phantom gourmet one of these days, it's still a very hidden gem. Today we visited for lunch with my friend and her 2 children. We ordered 2 steak chimichanga the steak was over cooked and burnt. We waited an hour for our food . 2 kids meals at the price of 4.99 which all came out separate. One meal at a time. We ended up being over priced paying 45$ for it all including 2 soda's . On top of it not only she didn't waitress well or ask how our food was . She waited till the very end and noticed our tostones didn't come out. At that point I told her forget it. Very good authentic Mexican right in Dracut! Tostados were amazing - get them for an appetizer and you won't be disappointed. I had the chicken leg and it was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Their guacamole was fresh and delicious, empanadas were smaller than what I'm used to but not greasy and airy. Will be back to try more delicious things on their menu. Stopped here with my 2 Guatemalan friends after a trip at a near by dealership. And we all got the platter and we all agreed it was amazing. Large portions very filling for 3 grown men. And very affordable.Their chips are ridiculous good so perfect even the simple fried chicken had me thinking theirs something special in that kitchen. And my weird favorite part is that this is small place so the bathroom is in the back of the kitchen. Walking through their you see the kind chiefs and staff that are so kind it's almost flirting.
