    Candycopia Crush

One of the best candy stores in the Chicagoland area, if not the very best. Candycopia offers an incredible variety of nostalgic favorites, popular treats, truffles, ice cream, and now even dirty sodas. We've become regulars, often stopping in to grab a bag of Swedish candy, and most recently tried the Candycopia Crush. It was amazing! The atmosphere is always fun, inviting, and friendly. A must-visit for any candy lover.

Found this place as apart of a sponsored event. The shop was so cute that I had to purchase some ice cream. They have several flavors that caught my eye. Specifically, I was eying the Banana Cream Pie. Thanks to Spirit, I was able to try two other flavors. I tried the Brookie and also a Graham Central Station flavor. Both were so yummy, however the Graham crackers flavor was distinct that I had to purchase a single cone. I was very impressed with my ice cream. This candy store is all inclusive, so many sweet treats: small batch chocolates, sodas, caramel and old school candies. This store has it all and I implore you to check it out if you want to find something sweet. This family owned business is easy to access and super clean and organized.

If you want to relive your childhood with old times candy or see some of the candy creations from around the world then you must visit this locally owned candy store in Oak Park. The moment you walk in you feel like a kid again! Super friendly staff and the owner is so nice explaining his concept of a first class candy store.

Stopped by after work one day and was so glad that I did!! The storefront itself is sort of small but the space inside is pretty big. I love how they have the store organized, bulk candy on one side, candies organized by decade in one area, candies by region, specialty chocolates, ice cream in the back, and special sodas in a cooler. I wanted to try everything. I ended up getting some of their specialty chocolates (locally made by Katherine Anne Confections and Chocs 'n Boxes), and the knafeh/viral Dubai chocolate. The Dubai chocolate was waaaay better than one I had tried at another place, and the other chocolates were also very, very unique and delicious. I've been to many candy stores and have generally usually felt underwhelmed and things overpriced. This was definitely not the case here! They had a lot of unique and fun items and at very reasonable prices! Staff were friendly without being overbearing and helpful. I will definitely be back!!

Stopped by for a Yelp event and a sweet treat, was not disappointed! There's quite the variety at Candycopia, and free samples are very generous - you can basically sample anything in the candy bar area. Lots of curious international options as well and more by the day - Vietnamese sriracha candy, Swedish licorice, etc. Top notch hospitality, friendliness, and vibes. It is Oak Park but there's actually some limited time free street parking if you look. Down the street is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the Unity Temple, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Prescheduling tour tickets is required however.

Gummies galore - really good selection of candy

If you are looking for the latest trends in candy, you will find them here. A Yelp event originally brought me here but it was the awesome Swedish candy selection, unique gummies ( who wouldn't want to buy gummy eye balls?) and fun tik tok featured candy ( eg peeled mango ) that led me to buying more and will make me a repeat customer. Love the modern section and the nostalgia section. Yum. My 11 year old was thrilled we found this place

What an absolutely adorable woman owned and family run candy shop! Located in downtown Oak Park, Candycopia is every sweet tooth lovers' dream. This is truly the holy grail of candy. They have so many sweet treats from local candy makers all the way from caramels, to truffles, to chocolate covered anything, to sweet and sour candy. I mean just take a look at my pictures from this place - it's candy galore! There's like over 15 jars of all different types of candies, and that's just scratching the surface. I even saw chocolate dipped Twinkies. Moral of the story: they have any sweet treat you could probably ever think of. The prices are so reasonable, too. The staff was amazing. I met one of the owners, Patrick, and he was so incredibly kind and friendly; I felt like I could ask him any question about anything in the store without it being a bother. They also do birthday parties which I had no clue about till I was there and they told me they just finished one up! The place was spotless and so cute. You already know I'll be coming back here!

I felt like a kid in a candy store when I visited Candycopia in Oak Park They carry a variety of goodies, not only traditional and hard to find candies, but, they also feature local minority owned candies as well. A family run business, they just opened this past June, and they have quickly become a favorite for both children and adults of all ages. Besides all the delicious sweets, they also hold birthday parties in their location, and I have heard that the kids really enjoy them. I enjoyed a flight of caramels and a Strawberry Cheesecake truffle from Katherine Anne's Do yourself a favor and visit Candycopia as soon as possible!

What an adorable hidden candy spot so close to home! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with such a warm welcome from the staff. I started off checking out the class containers filled with chocolates and gummies - they even let me sample a few :) The blueberry chocolate is delicious! They really have almost anything your sweet tooth craves. I was SO EXCITED to see my wax juice drinks that bring me back to my childhood!! They also have a large variety of caramels and truffles to choose from. Patrick was so welcoming and he went through all of the truffles in detail with me. 10/10 will definitely be back!

These are the most tender flavorful gummy bears I've ever had bar none, they are so addicting, if you buy these or the gummy worms buy lots of them or regret it as soon as you pop the last one in your mouth. I recently attended an event where there were boxes of these sample size packages - everyone was hoarding them. I grabbed a few packages to enjoy later and then decided to open a pack to enjoy at the event. I didn't really think about them again until I got to my office and started unloading my pockets and began filling my desk drawer - I pulled up the news feed on my computer and grabbed a few package to snack on while watching - after about 15 minutes I decided to wrap things up and noticed quite a few empty packages on my desk, okay maybe a few more than quite a few, they are that good, like none other - I don't know exactly where I can buy these or order them online but I'll definitely figure it out...

This place is every little Mexican kids dream and let me tell you, this new generation has it made. Back in the day my Mom used to take me to pick out my piñata at Abarrotera Mercantil. Right across the street from Cook County Jail. Don't get me wrong that store has excellent merch but Dulcelandia is like walking into a gold mine. 99% of the candy sold in Dulcelandia is Mexican candy. Nearly all of it I've never seen or tasted myself. Here is a list of good starters to try when visiting: (these are a few of my fave) Mazapan De La Rosa- crumbly peanut powder that's packed into a round shape. Kranky- chocolate covered cornflakes. Bubbaloo- similar to Gushers but gum with different flavored juice filling. The rest of the list you probably won't like unless you grew up as a kid eating and developing a pallet for. They're all tart and spicy, not sweet: (Personally I'm not a fan) Pelon Pelo Rico Tamarind Chili Push Up Candy- its a spicy candy gel that looks like hair when you squeeze the tube up. Lucas Chili Powder- it looks like a tiny salt container and they come in different flavors: chamoy, acidito, super spicy ect. I would go for the lime flavor. It's sour and tangy. You pour this directly into your mouth. Vero Rebanaditas (watermelon) & Vero Mango Paletas- these are spicy and tart lollipops. Aside from the plethora of candy choices they sell so many kinds of pinatas, decorations, and party favors. They have Yogolandia where you can make your own Yogurt cup and choose your toppings. They have a snack bar that sells elotes, cookies, hot cheetos, nachos, ect. and a seating area. I would inquire about birthday party packages. I'm not sure if they still offer party rooms and all the other amenities. Def a good spot to venture out. Don't forget to bring the kids!
