This is my 4th visit....in the past, I with families for celebration, just because, and to go orders. This place is super pack on Fridays and Saturdays! Come early! They close on Sundays! I came here with a wonderful friend of mine for lunch on Monday right after they opened. It was perfect. Majority of the guests came in after 12 pm. There are so many delicious entrees to choose from: Appetizer starters, Soup/Salad, Seafood, Baked Pasta, Pasta, Pizza, Chicken/Beef, Sandwiches, Dessert, Drinks, Wine, etc. Here what we ordered: 5 out 5 - Garlic knots are served with Marinara or Alfredo sauce. We picked Alfredo. Somehow, it didn't go together, and we asked our wonderful waiter to bring us the Marinara sauce. It was delicious with or without the sauce. 5 out of 5- Complimentary Garlic bread. Delicious. 5 out 5 - Shrimp Scampi in white wine garlic sauce with House Salad. Super Yum! 5 out 5 -Chicken Alfredo lunch special with Fagioli soup. It was fresh and super delicious. The indoor dining decor is beautiful. The bathroom is very nice and clean. My friend and I will definitely be coming back to try other entrees. I am recommending all the Italian food lovers to come check it out. Food is amazing and authentic. read more

My girlfriend and I went for dinner on Wednesday September 17th. 25 minute wait, Our server seemed overwhelmed. She was wearing a black face covering which made it very difficult to understand her. Salad had the incorrect dressing, bread was cold, the server would just walk past our table without asking if we needed anything else, it seemed like we were more of a nuisance than a customer. Update: Well today I found out that thanks to a glitch in the GrubHub system on this restaurants end, the pricing was wrong. They called me and told me. Which not only left my friends party without food. But took over an hour of my day to resolve with this restaurant and GrubHub. At least I get a refund.. at least that's what I've been told by GrubHub. So an update to my review they charge between $1 and $3.50 per topping. Over their $17.99 build your own pizza pricing. I was told that the pizza I ordered before would be $70 per Pizza. Not including tax or other fees on GrubHub. Do not order from GrubHub. Let's face it times have changed. Getting what you pay for is getting harder and harder. Most places give you the least amount they can get away with. This is definitely not one of those places This is the place where they say build your own and give you a ton of toppings to choose from and allow you to put as many on as you want for the same price. No per topping cost like the rest. Unfortunately, the pictures don't show how large this pizza is and there's no way for me to show you how heavy it is. But I chose to have almost every topping put on and they added everyone of my choices. Mushroom, onion, black olive, green pepper, sun dried tomato, fresh garlic, artichoke hearts, pineapple, fresh spinach, pepperoni, Italian, sausage, hot sausage, capicola, pastrami, canadian bacon and homemade meatball. Plus cheese. On a thick crust. Maybe not something everyone would like, but I know every time I get to order a pizza like this. It makes me feel like a King. And an Extra Large pizza for $17.99 with that many toppings. By far the best deal I've ever found and quickly became my Favorite pizza place and they deliver to your house. If you're an Amazon prime member go to your GrubHub they have specials sometimes where they give you money off helps you with the price . But honestly, worth every dime. I hate to leave a bad review but twice I've ordered for delivery and both times the food just wasn't good. The food quality is bad, especially for what they're charging. We just recently ordered to give this place a second chance, I ordered the Italian wedding soup and the grilled chicken and vegetable salad. Husband ordered lemon chicken with pasta and a side of the sausage. My soup was ice cold. It's like they just poured the refrigerated soup into a container without heating it up and sent it off. So I microwaved it. There were huge chunks of chicken breast in it, I've never had Italian wedding soup with chicken. There were 2 tiny meatballs. There was zero flavor, it tasted like water. The salad was weird. It was a bed of lettuce, and frozen veggies that were obviously microwaved (so soggy) with a ton of mozzarella cheese thrown on top. The chicken did have decent flavor though. Husband said his food was alright, just not worth the price. The first time we ordered I got the spaghetti, and it just tasted like jarred sauce on pasta. This was The second time that I went to Cannataro's restaurant... The first time i wasthere was a very good experience. It was very delicious. The second time I was craving for calamari So I ordered Appetizer medley which was calamari and mozzarella sticks .... so so so disappointed with the calamari. It was so overcooked crunchy like eating CHICHARON... I don't know what happened to that. If you are trying to get dinner here on a weekend, plan on having an early dinner. Think 4:30 or 5 PM. This place is not too big and gets packed early, not much air circulation so the body heat causes much warmth. The service is a what's to be expected when it's busy, you see your waiter a total of 5 times during your 1.5 hour dinner for a party of 6. No drink refills unless you hound someone down. No check-in's to see if you're ok. I am not too sure why people say this place reminds you of Italy. It reminded me of a closed off, dark generic 90's style restaurant. Didn't get much of an Italian-vibe. You do see the owner (I assume) talking to regulars but kind of nonchalant to the new customers. The bathroom situation is difficult as there's only 1 toilet in a family restaurant. Quite difficult when your potty-training toddler old needs to go. Lol! You are really going here for the taste of the pasta dishes and the portions. Every pasta dish we ordered was a knock-out! From the generous garlic bread baskets to the sampler platter. Everything was delicious and we had a lot to take home. The mac and cheese for kids uses a smaller pasta and it's really saucy and cheesy, I can't tell you what cheese (maybe a sharp White Cheddar) it was white and had a bitter/sharp cheddar profile. Luckily, my toddler didn't mind (thank goodness) and ate a few bites. Julie's wedding soup was good, we enjoyed the tiny meatballs and vegetables in it. I appreciated that it was not overly salty. The stuffed mushrooms were just OK, you can't really taste the ground beef or ricotta cheese which was a bummer. Today, I was really craving authentic Italian. I happened to be in the Chino area for a doctor's appointment. I Yelped Italian restaurants and saw this place and the excellent reviews. So, I decided why not and give it a shot. I was craving fettuccine alfredo anyways. I ordered: 1. Strawberry Italian Soda 2. Fettucine Supremo (w/ chicken & brocolli) 3. Tiramisu and butter cake to go The pasta came with garlic bread and soup or salad ($3.00 more). I got the salad with ranch. It was delicious. The cheese, black olives and ranch dressing were so fresh and delicious. I did the Gluten-Free penne to replace the fettucine. I thought it was just OKAY. I would either do the noodles or a different pasta next time. I just did not enjoy it and found the sauce to be too watery. I did not try the desserts but look forward to ! The hit though was the Italian soda. The strawberry soda was so super refreshing and flavorful. I give this place a 5 for this drink, the cordial staff and welcoming feeling it had. We had the strangest experience on Thursday, May 22 at 3 pm. I arrived about 5-10 minutes before my friend and I was seated at a booth near the front area. Our waiter asked for my drink order and I only had water due to being on a strong antibiotic so no alcohol. My friend arrived and within 2 minutes of her sitting down the waiter was asking for our meal order. I asked if there were any specials and he said no. I asked about happy hour specials and at first he said no and then said oh 50% off of appetizers. I ordered two appetizers and my friend had a pasta dish. We were visiting and the restaurant was not busy and there were no people waiting to be seated. We paid our bill and continued to visit. We had not even been there 2 hours but the waiter came up and asked us to leave as they needed the booth. We were floored. It wasn't like there were no other booths available. It was so disappointing as my friend loves the place but after that she said she is never going back there as what they did was so unprofessional and disrespectful. read more

Meetup Group's Good Choice It was a 17 miles drive from my residence to the venue, where we met for lunch. Kudos to our host! It was a great authentic family style restaurant. The Lunch Pasta Cannataros was very good, it came with a cup of Wedding Soup - $11.95. The soup was on a salty side for me, but was fairy ok not greasy. I didn't know why it called "wedding soup" I guess this must be the tradition serving at wedding somewhere in Italy. For dessert, I had Spumoni Ice Cream! - $5.99 - OMG it was heavenly indulgence! Serving on top was a layer of cream with chocolate strips. Very very joyous !! Ashly, the daughter of the owner happened to take care our table. She was wonderful and sweet! Have been here once before a couple years ago and there was nothing memorable about it. Gave it another shot while in town bc my parents were raving about it since they had just discovered it. So I thought maybe they had gotten better since years had passed. But sadly I was wrong. Arrived at around 5pm and it was easy to find a seat, got there right before the dinner rush. The service was nice, our waiter was very nice and attentive. But the food.. the food was very blah. The complimentary garlic bread was good I will give them that. It was soft, buttery crunchy on the edges and garlicky. The main entrees on the other hand were definitely not.. I ordered the chicken piccata and man. It was flavorless, it was as if they poured the entire jar of capers into my dish. Extremely overpowering and getting really annoying to separate them from my noodles. The broccoli chicken Alfredo my wife ordered tasted as if I opened a Marie Calendar's frozen dinner and popped in the microwave for 2 mins. Bland and just not it. The carbonara which is made with bacon not pancetta, was all bacon flavored. The sauce was creamy but it was way too over powered by the bacon. I'm assuming they cooked it in the bacon grease because it was like a slap in the face with bacon. Olive Garden was better than this place and I don't say that lightly. The restaurant was quiet, mostly "older" customers which can explain why the food was/is very bland. They need to accommodate their pallets.. the jalapeño spinach dip was good, VERY spicy and the mozzarella sticks did have a nice cheese pull and ok in flavor. But then again no one is going there for just appetizers and a bread basket, that's the only reason I'm giving them 3 . I don't even want to leave 1 star... Anyway my husband and I waited 20 minutes tonight (Friday) and we were there before it was crowded at 5pm. Gave our name & phone number.. There was just a group of 4 that was there before us, they were seated approximately 10minutes in our 20-minute wait. Next a group of kids came in and.they were going to seat them. My husband stopped that from occurring and in about 5-6 minutes we were seated. The waitress took our drink order and returned promptly to get our order. She brought out our salads and then the wait started all over again. We understand she was busy but now we have been there over an hour.. She went by us numerous times and never said anything about the food would be out soon.. So we finally stopped her and asked for the bill for the drinks & salad. She then said the food is ready and she will bring it out., But my husband had enough and asked for the bill again. She then said it was on the house. My husband wanted to speak to the manager and he knew right where he was(the kitchen) Argument pursued and they were each others face.
