This is normally my favorite Italian Restaurant. My wife and I ordered a Pasta Dish and Pizza to share. So disappointed when both dishes were "lukewarm." Needless to say, I lost my appetite. Frustrated, I have visited this restaurant twice and this was to be my 3rd visit. My first visit the food was overly greasy but I thought I would try again. My second visit was better. But on my third visit... it was a Friday at about 5:45 pm. I was told there would be a 15 min wait, which was fine. I told the hostess I needed a high chair. After 30 mins of waiting I noticed customers that showed up after me were seated. I asked the hostess how much longer and she seemed distraught, and had to remind her I needed a high chair, 5 mins she said. Okay, never received the text message letting me know my table was ready so I told my husband we should go in, it seems we are being overlooked. I was a party of 4 with a need for a high chair, they call a party of 6 with the need of 2 high chairs, right after they told me to give them another 5 mins, this family had showed up well after my family and I had. The hostess then calls me over and says we ran out of high chairs!!! Hmm, why wasn't I seated before the party of 6 that required 2 high chairs??? No my 15 month old can not sit in a booster unless you want to pay for the medical bills. We left. In response to your manager, I was out side with the party of 6, chatting while all the commotion in the lobby took place. I asked them if they called ahead or if they just "checked in," they did not use one of those check-ins that you are speaking of. So I'm sorry your excuse has no validity. Thank you for the apology but only 4 high chairs makes me think that it's not a family friendly restaurant. read more

Wow. Never even knew this place was there. It was so good! First time here. Inside it's so beautiful. Its definitely hidden though in the back of shopping center. I got my order to go. This restaurant is a cute cozy place in the city of Chino. The menu is extensive and it has options for everyone from classic dishes to gluten free or vegetarian options. They serve a variety or drinks and desserts. The food is delicious and it tastes fresh. I had the classic lasagna with house salad. For dessert I had the cream brûlée. The portion are average size and they serve you bread, soup or salad. The prices are average and very good for the quality of food served. My server Alva was very attentive and made wonderful recommendations. I had been wanting to try this place out for a while and I'm glad I did. I would definitely eat here again. read more

This is normally our "go-to" for Italian food. However, the past two visits have been very disappointing. I have tried contacting the restaurant to voice my concerns and was hung-up on and emails have not been answered. The past two times we ordered for take-out, food items have been missing from our order, the lids were not secured properly, and last time I ordered the linguini and clams and it was extremely dry. There was very little to no oil or broth from the clams. We drive from Norco just to visit this restaurant and I can say that we need to find another "go-to" Italian restaurant. With the restaurant business hurting right now, I would have thought that Cannataro's would make sure that their customers are happy and that is apparently not the case. I have made numerous recommendations for this place and I am now sorry I did. read more

I called a order in today for pick up and when I went to pay was told I could not use my entertainment coupon. Nothing posted what so ever that they were not excepting coupons. Get home and no salad dressing with our antipasto salads. It seems every time I go to Cannataro's there's a issue. Either with there employees being rude, food or other issues. This place was really good! The service was amazing. We had a super sweet patient waitress (don't remember her name) but she was so patient in explaining the menu items for us. Overall the pasta is great. We tried the Italian soda which was soda with vanilla syrup and whipped cream, It was super different but yummy, definitely worth a try. Absolutely positively the best calzone I have ever eaten period! My family and I came here for the first time with other family members who have been here many times. They said it was very good Italian food.. they undersold the experience. We sat 8 in our party and were seated within 10 min of our arrival. Hint.. call ahead for large parties especially on the weekend. Staff will put your party on the "call ahead" list and when you get here you are seated asap with your full party. Second, our server Brandi was AMAZING! Super friendly, fast service, every order was 100% accurate, and she put up with our large family shenanigans with a huge smile and exceptionally friendly demeanor. Great job Brandi!! 3rd, the food was amazing and fantastic. Tasted great, large portions, perfectly prepared, and aethestically pleasing when served. The food sealed the deal!! 4th, the prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Bring an appetite or share with family and friends. This place was good, but not amazing. If I ever come back, it's for the fruit pizza. The food, service, & place is forgettable. It's clean. The bathrooms are clean, pretty, & relaxing. The place was intimate & cozy, but I didn't get the let's have a romantic date here vibe from it. Our waitress was good, & sweet. She did scare me a few times because she kept trying to take 6 people's plates away. I felt like it was going to fall on me. I figured eventually she knows what she's doing & won't drop them, so kudos to her. I did enjoy the 2 Italian sodas (sparkling water with whole cream & whip cream) I had: mango and strawberry. The food appetizers and main courses were okay. My boyfriend had the chicken Alfredo and the broke the sauce, so his sauce was watery & over starched. My lemon herb chicken was good. I especially enjoyed the veggies. The best part was the fruit pizza. It's basically a giant shortbread cookie with delicious fruit on it. Definitely give it a try. It's worth the price. read more

Cannataro's is a great Italian restaurant that offers a wide menu of entrees. Food has always been exceptional in taste however; the Creme Brûlée lacked that special taste and top layer was over carmelized. Our waitress was exceptional as were the bus boys. One issue I saw was a server who sprayed down a table beside us and rather than remove the existing place setting, she chose to spray and wipe around it without moving anything. This same server said to a customer who questioned their bill told the gentleman, "I just press the key". Hmm, monkeys can press keys too. Aside from all this, it's a great restaurant and will continue to be our go to place for great Italian food. read more

I really enjoy the food. I placed a phone order, the woman had trouble hearing me but seemed to lack good customer service. I arrived at the restaurant when my food should have been ready. Waited 15 more minutes inside after paying. A sign asked customers to wear masks or service would be refused but a customer picked up an order without a mask. Also, I could see two women working behind the counter. I could see the positive customer service of one and the other older woman still looking rushed and unpleasant as she took more phone orders and payments. We visited here to celebrate father's day, though the food was good(ignore delays) and the 1 star I gave is for food only but the server was tooooo rude to explain in words and the crockery they used was disgusting. The most awkward dinner of my life. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner a few weeks back we tried to order a beer and were told they were out so we ordered another one and again they were out. No big deal we switched our drink order to water and moved on, not long after the waitress comes over offering to go to 7/11 to get us a beer which was nice of them we appreciated it but we passed but it was awkward the way they continued to ask us, then the owner and the waitress began arguing in front of us about whether or not they had beer in stock (about 5 mins) while we just sat there. They finally move on we order our food when the owner starts an argument with another couple not too far from us. The food was good but I will not go back again. read more

Honestly... the best steak I've ever eaten. Granted I don't go out and eat at high-to-do and fancy restaurants... but when an Italian restaurant that is moderately priced can beat out Black Angus or Outback steaks? Come on... It was amazing. I loved LOVED the minestrone soup, it was to die for. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE GARLIC BREAD! It never stopped coming, and I loved every piece. My girlfriend had their Chicken Parm and she enjoyed it as well My only complaint (and I understand not being able to put the money toward it) is that the restaurant could use some touching up. I had Cannataro's cater my daughter's graduation party- it was a hit! I ordered meat lasagna, chicken fettuccine alfredo, penne pasta w/meat sauce, pepperoni pizzas, salad, and garlic bread. YUM!! I received nothing but compliments from my guests. The food was delivered within the promised time and was still hot upon arrival. This place isn't bad, but it needs work. Another helper mentioned the disorganization in the front, I have to echo that assessment, but I do not believe it is a matter of the number of staff on hand but a matter of training. The food is better then olive garden but the overall value may be challenged by promos the olive garden may be running. The salad offered with the meal is a joke as it is served on the same plates you would get your cup of coffee on. They need to look to Vince's to see what they should be offering in order to improve. My last meal at cannontaro's was the same as a full dinner at Vince's,which has them outclassed and outgunned. The staff seemed nice here. Not the best trained but nice people. The garlic bread is extremely good. A friend and I decimated the basket with ease. The food wasn't as hot as it should be,again it's likely a matter of training. The sauce is pretty good for a California Italian joint. it has a nice touch of olive oil. The place is nicely decorated. Its what some, might call quaint. not to big, not to loud, not do brightly lit. it's not bad for a" right around the corner Italian joint" like you'd have out east. however the lack of training, embarrassingly small salad, and higher then they should be prices hurt that around the corner advantage that could get people to return more often and profit via volume instead of quality of a single ticket. drop the prices and people will be picking up dinner like crazy. Ordered lunch to go with my husband and had an great meal. We started with their jalapeño artichoke dip, which was a big hit, I would return for this everyday if I could.
