I have came to this place several times since I have lived in Oak Cliff. The drinks are way too expensive and the staff can be extremely rude. For the last 3 times I have gone there, the staff has been extremely hostile and disrespectful to the friends I have brought with me. There have been a few workers that have been ok and only one that I have met that is actually cool. The rest of them are on some sorry ass power trip and always over charge and will put all the drinks on your tab instead of taking the time to separate the tabs for individual people. They are lazy, fat and rude. Their food is ok but not enough to put up with this fake Irish bullshit. Stay away and goto Tiny Victories if you want friendly good service and great drinks. This place has great service and great food. Recently they took off the veggie burger and instead offer an impossible patty to swap with any of their burger options. That makes me so happy seriously. My husband and I just moved to the neighborhood and found this place while driving around. He went first, on Wednesday for 1/2 priced Whiskey and LOVED it. We went before a show at The Kessler and he got the corned beef and I got the Reuben. The place is awesome inside and really neatly decorated. The only complaint about this place is that they serve their Reuben on a pretzel bun. I had to send it back to get it served in rye. Who operates a traditional Irish Pub and serves a Reuben in an untraditional manner?! Really hope the kitchen changes their mind on that read more

Beware the no substitute menu. Popped in for lunch, ordered the curry and rice, which had a good amount of chicken and decent flavor. Unfortunately curry and rice is not what I wanted. First night of business and the staff are on top of it and the food was great. We had the Cashel Burger which was juicy and fresh and perfectly prepared, even the bun was remarkable. Worst customer service in Dallas. Save your money for the other great Oak Cliff restaurants and give this one a pass. It's amazing that they are still in business. But if you want to try them out, put aside about three hours, and you might get your food by then. Since its Inception I have been coming 2 cannons Corner Irish Pub. The vibe, the patrons and the staff make this what I would say the best bar in the OC. Its Irish food with a Twist.! The fish tacos at happy hour are definitely "oh my Cod" 4 a reason! A must, as well as their dublin taco, corn beef/jameson bbg sauce. Above all the goodies to eat. There are some standout bartenders one of which is Jen, who will without a doubt put a smile on your face if you weren't already wearing one and is very capable of whipping up a nefarious concoction of a cocktail! I've had The Pub Curry (very good but not spicy), fish & chips (nice and crispy, awesome fries) and my go to is the Shepherd's Pie. Bread pudding is really good as well. We came by as a group of 15 and Jen and Elaine hooked us up! We got amazing service, quick food and drinks, and a great spot to sit. I would recommend this place for a business meeting, a quick pint alone or with a few friends, a dinner date, or just to watch the USWNT score 13 goals against Thailand. Cannon's Corner is a lovely addition to Oak Cliff. The Jameson is always good, and the Guinness is as close to Dublin authentic as you can get in Texas. Food is pretty good, with a few twists on Irish staples. Price isn't bad if you catch a good deal, which there are plenty of throughout the week. 5/5 will visit many times more. Went on a Saturday night , we were a big group so they did not have enough space inside as it had just rained so we understood being sat separately, service was terrible, took about maybe an hour and half to get our food but we still patiently waited. Cannon's Corner is a wonderful addition to our neighborhood. It's been open less than a week, and my family is making inroads on eating our way through the menu. The food is fabulous. I highly recommend the Chieftain sandwich and the crispy duck wings. They have an excellent selection of beers and whiskeys. And whiskies. The staff is familiar with the area, already know many of the clientele, and, although I think they are not quite prepared for their instant popularity, they are doing a good job getting people served.
