I called them up and Oscar their sales person was out the next day and gave me a detailed estimate that was more competitive than the 3 other estimates I received. I had no issue scheduling the repair and the crew arrived at 8am as they were supposed to and immediately got to work. Oscar came out with the rest of the team and brought them up to speed with what needed to be done and Jonathan the foreman took over after that. As they had to come in and out of my house several times to access the roof they were always very courteous. And they invited me up on to the roof a couple of times during their work to make sure that I understood exactly what was happening and encouraged me to ask questions so that I could feel comfortable that everything was being done to my satisfaction. Additionally the owner Arturo came by and also made sure that everything was going well. What great care and service. The one of the manager blamed the other manager for the miss communication. I review some of workmanship at eye level and it was totally done incorrectly. We called in April to follow up, but no one returned our call. We continued to call, but where unable to leave a message because the voicemail box was full. In June, we were finally able to leave a message. Someone called and made an appointment to come out. No one showed up. We have left multiple messages, but have not been called back.

David, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and he did a good job replacing the tiles on my bathroom floor, and he (mostly his assistant) did a lot of painting, which on the whole looks good. But see below... The big issues were what I discovered after he was finished and had left: fresh paint stains in multiple areas, including the wood floor of my 19th century house and even furniture - which I cleaned up. Splattered paint near the ceiling of my kitchen which still, three months later, has not been patched, paint stains on my oriental rug, a major purchase 40 years ago, etc. David said he would pay for the rug damage, and I only asked for 50% of the very reasonable $175 cleaning cost. David told me to bill him via Zelle, something I said I'm not sure how to do. He already has my Zelle information, since that's how I paid him for the work. But after messaging him and emailing several times, he has not responded. And I still have paint streaks on the wall and an unpaid bill. So I can't recommend Handy Gentlemen. I think part of the problem is that David is under-manned and a bit overwhelmed, but not responding to my messages is unprofessional.

We got several bids for the project, and Brothers not only gave us the lowest bid, but we also felt the most comfortable with them on a personal level. - as they struck us as very straight-forward, honest and trustworthy. Jim, Eric and their team not only did an incredible job executing our vision, but also brought their own expertise and insight into how to best transform a space. They really have a knack for both the craftsmanship aspect of remodeling as well as a good eye on how to utilize your floor plan. Our basement was half-finished with a mix of concrete, ratty carpet and wood paneled walls. They knocked down a wall, re-did the floors, added drywall, framed a storage room, built a bathroom, added canned lights, put in new windows and additional electrical outlets. What once looked like a rundown area of our townhouse now looks like an upscale hotel suite complete with the beautiful bathroom that they added. They completed all the work on time and on budget, and we couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job. Not having a lot of experience in the world of renovation/remodeling, it was such a relief to deal with honest, hard-working guys who treat you like family and don't try to hose you over. In addition to doing excellent work, they were all nice, respectful and easy to get along with - and we felt 100% comfortable with them going in and out of our place for the better part of a month. One more point I would like to mention is that during the remodel, we had an issue with our furnace. Four Seasons came out and quoted us around $1,000 to fix it. We told the brothers about it, and they said that sounded excessive. Jim and Eric took care of the parts and labor for $300 that same day, and it's been running perfectly since then. If we ever need any more work done to our place, Brothers would be our only choice, and I would happily recommend them to friends, family and anyone who's looking for great work on their house or condo at a fair and honest price.
