The two caregivers we have had so far were excellent. They both found things to help with and didn't need much prompting from me. I am surprised to see any reviews that are low as I would give six stars if I could. Their intake process was highly professional and their business shows a high degree of organization at all levels. Take it from a very organized retired teacher. Honor is worth checking out and trying their services. Kudos to management and staff .

My only gripe is when the regular caregiver is unable to come. Honor Care doesn't seem to have a backup system in place. So, most of the time no replacement comes or they able to come only at different hours. I could be wrong, but it feels like they treat caregivers like Uber drivers. Instead of proactively having a backup list or making phone calls, it feels like they just open up a slot and hope somebody responds. I could be wrong, but that is the way it feels.

She reached out to me the same day, asked for the contacts of his primary care, contact them and got all the paperwork done within a few hours! Next thing i knew, their team was reaching out to me and we had schedule a time for their physical therapist Matthew Walker to come visit my grandpa the next day. This helped us to be put as ease due to his age and health conditions. Matt came the next morning for his appointment. Was fully thorough with every single thing- it was amazing. He asked all the small details, took his time to understand my grandpa and what his goals and needs were, and was so patient with everything he worked on with him. He had great communication, texted and called me to check up on my grandpa daily, and was always available for questions. We next had Betty as our nurse who came to analyze his medications. Betty was also very helpful in reaching out to all his different practitioners to confirm on his medications, what he needed, why he took what meds, and helped finalize a list of what was really necessary. She was very helpful in clarifying a lot of things that the medical doctors didn't inform us on. As my grandpa got better, the visits ended but my grandpa completed his home health visit knowing that he was in great hands! He was so grateful for the entire Sutter team for how quickly they were able to help him, all the exercises they taught him to do, and for getting him back on his feet again. We had fun each visit over a little small talk & she always made sure everything was going well. Parihan, the ot, was equally nice, showing me different ways to of doing things while my wrist healed. Patrick, the home health aid, was wonderful; coming a couple times a week to help me shower; he is very thorough & another wonderful person. I hired the enABLE team to help me with my mother who has dementia / alzheimers, and has been living at an Assisted Living / Memory Care facilities for ~ 2 years.  Mainly, I wanted them to assess my mothers behaviors, and the facilities in which she was living; making sure the facilities she was living was continuing to be the right place for my mother as her dementia / alzheimers is progressing.  Upon their weekly assessments, the enABLE team provide valuable feedback on how my mother is, what activities she is (or isn't) participating, the care she is (or isn't) receiving, the amount of stimulation she is (or isn't) being given, etc.  As the weeks had gone on the enABLE team recommended that my mother be moved to a solely based Memory Care facilities as they felt the current facilities was not the right place for her at this time.  (They actually were quite disappointed in the facilities she was living.  And, the last call I had with the Director I was incredibly disappointed as well.) The decision to move her was hard, but the support and attention to my and my mothers needs was more than words can express.  Jen and Joanna jumped right in, got tours set up, accompanied with me on the tours, asked the questions that I would not know to ask, and helped me make the decision on what the next best facilities would be for my mother.  Now, my mother is settled at her new facilities and is happy and comfortable.  The enABLE Team continue to visit with her, and their weekly assessments continue to ensure that together, with their support and guidance, the right decision was made for my mother. I want to point out that I would never have known to move my mother, or learned about how she was being treated w/o the enABLE Teams loving attention given to my mother, and their feedback.  I recommend enABLE Care Management one million times over!  The are so wonderful and have truly become an extension of my family! My Mom is not an easy case as she suffers from Major Depressive Disorder. The last two plus years, we have had 24/7 care, in her home. Every caregiver she has had has been loving and kind to her. In the rare case when she and a caregiver do not click, a change is made in a very timely fashion. The agency staff has been professional, and, the supervisory staff has gone above and beyond in trying to assist my Mom, and, encourage her in every way possible. When an emergency has arisen, they have been responsive, and, I am always contacted immediately by the agency Director. As a retired police officer, I feel safe in saying that criminal background checks are done PRIOR to hiring a caregiver. If an employee is arrested after being hired, the agency is likely never contacted. THIS IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE AGENCY ITSELF. Common sense should always prevail, when caregivers are in your home, and, Home Instead literature clearly advises potential clients to keep all valuable items in a safe place. As a long time client, I highly recommend both the San Mateo and San Bruno offices of Home Instead.
